We highly recommend this penthouse to anyone that appreciates space, private bathrooms, superb kitchen and watching sunrises while having your morning coffee. This was our first trip to Maui and it will be hard to top. This plantation style resort is so very intimate and relaxing. Pool and beach access is easy and actually as close to being your own pool and beach as you can get. The penthouse was exactly what we expected and more. Tom was so accommodating and treated us royally. The staff at Lahaina Shores were also friendly and made you feel at home. Our two weeks were not long enough.

The facility is top notch!! The location is superb located on the ocean and it is a leisurely stroll to all of the restaurants and shops in Lahiana. The view of the Maui Mountains is spectacular. The Condo has all of the modern features including laundry. We highly recommend this property.

This property was fantastic. The owner was easy to work with, the local staff were helpful, and the place was as described. We couldn't have been more pleased. Lahaina is a great town, and the ferry ride to Lanai is a lot of fun.

We were more than pleased with our stay. We are always in search ofclean, luxurious, pleasant surroundings and this condo fit the bill. Good kitchen utencils, comfortable furniture, and a very comfortable bed are always a must as this condo had. Tom, the owner, was very cooperative and excellent to work with.

Our stay was absolutely fantastic! The condo was very clean and the view of the mountains off the lanai was breathtaking. We enjoyed the mountain view from the suite in the morning (including a rainbow every morning!) and the sunset in the evening from the beach at the doorstep of the building. Even before we arrived, Tom helped put our Maui vacation together by assisting with the booking of the penthouse down the hall for the remainder of our stay he couldn't accommodate. Tom's condo was well stocked with everything you would need: plenty of towels, soap, dishwasher soap, paper towels, garbage bags, boogie boards, etc. I really appreciated having a washer and dryer in the suite; as well as the dishwasher. All of the appliances were new, the fridge included an ice maker, the bed was very comfortable and the remodeled shower was a great convenience upon return from the beach. We loved walking along Front Street; sightseeing and shopping. There were many nice restaurants nearby that we enjoyed going to. The condo is situated in a very convenient and desirable location. I highly recommend this condo to everyone! We had a fantastic time and plan on going back!

Owner response:Derek , This was your second stay but probably not your last , since your stay I purchased another unit at Lahaina SHores and even improved the Penthouse more by purchasing full size washer and dryer , moved the stacking units down to unit #125 ... My wife does a great job keeping everything up to date ....

Best Condo Ever!

I stayed Nov 17-24, 2010 while it was sunny and 80 degrees in Maui and my friends back home where dealing with snow and record breaking cold. The condo was plenty of room for the four of us: mom, sister, niece, and myself. The air mattress was a great addition and fit perfectly in front of the bed in the bedroom. The roll-out bed was nice and comfy as well. We arrived in Maui late at in the evening and at first we were a little disappointed to see that the condo was in such a quiet residential area. Little did we know all the action and stores were just a few blocks away! When we opened the doors to the condo, we all breathed a sigh of relief because we knew that even if the location was great - the penthouse itself was going to be fabulous! The pictures do not deceive. Everything is clean, new, and well presented. EVERYTHING you could ever need was there including plenty of towels, sheets, hangers, detergent, pots and pans, condiments, tour books, boogie boards, and the list goes on... Even if there was anything missing (in our case, shampoo and conditioner) there's a Safeway nearby and even a general store in the Front Street shopping complex adjacent to the condo. We had a fantastic time and I recommend this penthouse to anyone and everyone! I could write pages and pages and wouldn't be done with all the great things about the condo itself, Lahaina Shores in general, and the convenient location within walking distance to everything. For first timers like myself who have never booked a condo directly, Tom made it incredibly painless. I sent an email asking for a quote and details, received a quick email answering my questions, paid via paypal, and checked it at the front desk with no problem. THANK YOU for a great vacation!

Awesome Maui Condo!

This was my first time renting a condo, as I typically stay at hotels. But since we had (5) people in our party, I decided to give this a try. I spoke directly with Tom, the actual property owner, as he answered all of my questions leading up to my arrival. The master bedroom has a huge "California" King sized bed with a private bath. The living / dining room area was very large and easily accommodated a full size pullout sofa / sleeper and air mattress. There is a second bath and "in-house" laundry along with a fully stocked kitchen. The owners went to great lengths to upgrade all appliances and furnishings. The long private patio gives beautiful views of the mountain landscape (no water views from the condo). We typically toured various beaches on the island during the morning and afternoon hours, and enjoyed relaxing in Lahaina every evening, The property is just south of the "Banyan Tree" and is easy walking distance to a wide variety food and shopping options in Lahaina The (1) week rental price for this beautiful penthouse condo was very reasonable and I would absolutely stay there again the next time my family visits Maui.

Lahaina Shores isn't for people who want to stay at the Hyatt - it wasn't meant to be. The rooms are nearly all different due to the fact that they are individually owned and the decoration is up to the owner. We went there on our honeymoon in August 2009, and will definitely be back next time we visit Maui. We island hopped for a few days, a few other hotels (Westin, Sheraton..), and this unit blows them away. The whole resort is very nice and located on the edge of the strip in Lahaina - far enough to be quiet but just a short stroll to all the shops and restaurants. Kaanapali is just a short drive north, resorts and tall buildings, but you can retreat to 1500 sq ft in this penthouse. If you want spa/massage and all the fluff then a mega resort may be for you, but if you want your own amazing condo check this one out. www.vrbo.com/103392 The Penthouse #706 won't disappoint. I have to admit, my wife was a little leary going from internet reviews and direct rental off the owner, but she now knows it was better than even higher priced hotels and the transaction went seamless. Hello. Our family stayed in Maui for the 4th of July week and stayed at Lahaina Shores because we wanted a condo with a kitchen. We contacted the owners of the condo directly and saved a lot. The place is beautiful. It isn't an ocean view, but the view of the mountains from the lanai is super, great for a morning coffee and sunrise or an afternoon cigar, Make sure you have plenty film in your camera. The unit is just recently decorated and looks like it came out of a magazine. We wanted to save some money so we shopped at Safeway (make sure you go to the customer service counter and get a shopping card to use instantly and save more), which is right up the street at the northern end of Lahaina, and we ate dinners in the condo. It has a full kitchen with everything you need. We also packed lunches for the daily snorkeling and sightseeing trips. It was right next to town for shopping and other ventures from the marina (parasiling, snorkeling, deep sea fishing, etc.). The concierge at Lahaina Shores was more than helpful in planning our week. I am surprised when I read reviews that complain about this property and Lahaina, in general. I stayed in the same unit as "avianman" and couldn't have been more pleased with the accommodations! I was a bit apprehensive since I had booked the unit from an ad on Craigslist, but was only pleased. My daughters and I checked in to Penthouse 706 and walked in to the most beautiful, spacious place we have ever stayed on Maui. Everything in the condo was perfect. The furniture was beautiful and comfortable. The bedroom was gorgeous and there was more than ample closet/storage space for a full family. The bathrooms were well designed and we loved that there was a laundry room right in the condo. The state of the art kitchen was a delight to cook in.

Our family of 4 stayed in Maui for 10 days. We spent 6 days at the Westin Pool & Spa Resort and 4 at Lahaina Shores - Penthouse # 6. I'm not sure about the other rooms there but this penthouse was perfect for us. We all agreed, we wish we had stayed there longer. What an awesome condo and location! You couldn't ask for more! It's beautifully decorated and fully appointed with appliances, beach gear, guide books and Internet access. It's on a quiet stretch of beach and walking distance to downtown Lahaina. It's a short drive to great golf or other island activities. We can't think of a better place to kick back, relax and get away!

We stayed at Lahaina Shores Beach Resort for Christmas and New Years what a wonderful way to celebrate the Holidays. Lahaina Shores is located right on Front Street with a wonderful Sandy beach right in front of the Condo. We booked our Penthouse directly from the owner , we talked to Tom Myers the owner who was a great person to talk to and he gave us some tips on eating , shopping and Golf locations. My Husband enjoyed the 50" Plasma television in the living room along with the walk-in Shower in the Master Bathroom he is a large man and the oversize shower area was large and it had two shower heads. The swimming pool was a bit small but not used much so it worked out for the kids just fine , we did not have to worry to much about them it seemed like a great place to stay , we looked at other rooms while we stayed there and let me tell you we stayed in the best room at Lahaina Shores Penthouse 6 is a place we will tell all of our friends about and we will come back again . Thanks Again to all the nice people at Lahaina Shores and in general in Maui , you all made our stay extra special. Hope this review helps out someone else.
