This is a typical wooden New England farmhouse. It is set high up, overlooking 5 acres of meadow and woods, and has a 400 foot shore. The house is airy and bright, and raises the spirits. The tidal cove empties into Penobscot Bay and has excellent fishing, in season. The house is set about 3 miles from and between, the small towns of Stonington or Deer Isle. There is a deck for relaxing on and watching the sunset.

The house is located off the scenic Island route, set back about 300 feet from the water, providing long views of the cove. Well behaved pets are welcome.

          Year Purchased: 2003

          About the owner: I am english but my wife is from Deer Isle. As she is an Art Historian we live within a commute of London, England.

          Why the Owner Chose Deer Isle:
          We bought the property because my wifes' parents live there. We live in England ( I am english). It is also one of the most beautiful parts of the world I have seen. Hopefully we will retire there someday.

          The Unique Benefits at this House:
          Friends and family visits. The healthy fresh sea air and terrific local foods. I also usually make a didgeridoo in my neighbors workshop !
