We booked this treetopper for our wedding weekend at Big Canoe. The only thing I wish for is to have been able to spend more quality time with my fiance but we were too busy attending to our wedding and guests. It is by far super-romantic and the decor and lighting make it so intimate. The bed is so comfortable and shower has great pressure. The view is the best as far as treetoppers go. We hope to make this our anniversary destination. The owner is wonderful too! Thank you for an awesome weekend.
Owner response:Great to have you! Please come back anytime!

My husband and I stayed in this beautiful cabin for our 2nd anniversary and were able to use the '2 for 3 night' special, which really made for a relaxing weekend. The cabin was simple, but decorated beautifully. The kitchen is small and not ideal for cooking, but my husband and I used the grille on the porch twice and went out to eat at Appalachia just outside of Big Canoe- the stuffed tilapia and fried green tomatoes were amazing! We enjoyed hiking, biking, saw lots of deer, and used the pool facilities one day ($6 a person for day or $24 for the week). There is a big supermarket IGA just before entering Big Canoe, so stop and get your groceries on your way in. We rented some movies at the redbox there, too.
Owner response:Lovely to have such wonderful guests!

Bring your wine and enjoy the deck!!! My bride and I spent hours just starring at the lake and mountains. Pictures can't show how great the view is. The bed was SOOOOO comfortable and a king. We loved the little kitchen and it had everything we needed to prepare several great meals we shared outside. Before you come up check the Big Canoe web site for hiking trail maps or maybe try the Georgia Wine Trail while you're in the area. The north entrance was the easiest access for us and the GPS was not very helpful inside the gate. The gate did provide us with a map and directions.
Owner response:Wayne you are wonderful! and always welcome! Also come back for your anniversay, anytime and I'll HAVE to give you a discount!!! :)

After months of wedding planning and the big day itself, our daughter and new son-in-law sent us to this private mountain get-away as a thank you for their wedding. Not only was the cabin absolutely adorable and clean, the view from the deck was amazing! The trees have been pruned so that you can see the lake. The cabin is private and perfect for some much needed R & R. Also, Verizon Wireless works in the entire community. I would definitely recommend this specific unit to anyone looking for a private and restful get-away.
Owner response:That is wonderful, tell them to contact me for their anniversary ... I'd love to give them a nice discount!!

The cabin is decorated very chic with lots of modern touches- and has a nice hotel feel with the soaps and shampoos. The bed was so comfortable and the view was great. There were a few things that concerned me- the coffee machine had old wet coffee beans in it where someone has used it but didnt empty it, one of the robes had a lighter in the pocket- which made me feel like it hadnt been washed, and there were only 2 logs of firewood available. This would not have been an issue- we do not mind getting our own- but the check-in paperwork said that all we would need to bring was a starter log. Not a big deal- we were able to pick up firewood at the gas station down the street. Overall our stay was nice, comfortable and peaceful. It was great to disconnect and relax.

It was so cozy and the decor was so intriguing! After I left I even searched online for some of the decor for my own home! It is very private with such a great view. The kitchen was totally stocked with everything you need-plates, cups, utensils, coffee maker, coffee, tea, etc. Everything was cleaned and the linens smelled great. The bed so comfortable too!! It was such a great relaxing getaway!! I would recommend it to anyone!

David and I were so happy to stay at "Georgia's Hideaway" for my birthday weekend. It was a major birthday and we wanted it to be very special. Special it was. We enjoyed a great vintage Champagne on the deck looking over the mountains then snuggled in the incredibly comfortable bed. The cabin was just as described -- but better in reality. Georgia was just so nice and took great care of everything -- even to seeing we had groumet coffee to brew. We also enjoyed the proximity to the Georgia Wineries -- fun events and most importantly, the mountains.

Due to tough economic times, I spent hours on-line looking for the best value for a much needed getaway. Let me save you the trouble. This is it! First, it is located in a beautiful wooded development just far enough off the beaten path to feel like an escape. I fell in love when we walked in the door and pulled up all the blinds! You are literally surrounded by glass. You get the feeling that you are camping in the woods only better with no bugs or heat and a comfortable bed at the end of the day. As an added treat, we even saw a mother bear and 3 cubs just a few feet from our window! Wild turkeys strolled by regularly. The sheets and towels are nice. The kitchen is tiny so bring convenience food and a bag of ice and you are set. If you need to get away from your everyday routine, you will not be dissapointed here.

My husband and I have just returned from staying in Big Canoe. We had such a great time and feel so relaxed. We highly recommend this tree topper for a couples retreat. It is very cozy, clean, and neatly decorated. Looks in person just as you see it in these pictures. The scenery with the mountains, lakes, and creeks has to be among the most beautiful in this part of the country. Would definitely consider another trip to Big Canoe and would have to stay in this cabin.

While the furniture and set up were cute, all the dishes we tried to use were all dirty, the coffee maker-dirty, the bath towels (2)-dirty. The refrigerator is not working properly and froze all of our food. The only light on the porch was out. There is not a full set of dishes, only 2 coffee mugs. There is a fireplace there that is extremely dirty and looks like it hasn't been cleaned in a couple of years. When we walked in the place smelled musty. I would not rent it again or recommend it to anyone.
Owner response:I don't know who this guest is, since they did not sign their name. I would like this verified by VRBO

I loved being at Big Canoe, we really love to bird watch and were pleasantly surprized at the abundant wild life. The deer are a special treat. I sleep so well, no telephones ringing, no deadlines to meet, it was quite peaceful. The cabin is decorated so modern yet everything was super comfortable. Thanks again for the wonderful week-end. Did I mention the French Sparkling waiting for us in the Fridge...delish! Also Morgan, our dog loved it!

My husband and I were looking for a quiet weekend retreat, and we found it here! We felt like we were right in the trees! The views from all sides of the cabin were beautiful. The cabin is well decorated, and the linens are superb. Thanks for all the "extras" like the coffee and bath supplies. We will definitely be back!

What a great little getaway. The cabin is nestled in the trees in a very quiet area, from the deck you can see the mountains and lake. The inside of the cabin is extremely comfortable with all of the qualities of a fine hotel in a secluded setting! I would highly recommend and can't wait to go back!
