Great Ski House!

Our group of seasoned skiers raved when we first stepped into your house. It really is setup well for a group or family in true skier style. The bedrooms were exactly as pictured, with good amounts of space and all the amenities (even have robes in the bathrooms). The main space with dining area, kitchen, fireplace and living room were a perfect place to relax and hang out after a long day skiing. The hot tub was in perfect working order and easy to maintain. All directions for use of the place were easy to follow and ensured that previous guests were taking the same care we did. After getting 7 feet of snow over three days (most of which were dry powder), we were very happy that the driveway and culdesac were plowed quickly. We absolutely recommend this home to future renters and hope you have the same experience we did. Thank you Jim & crew

We rented this home for our family get-together. We had 5 adults and one 15-month old and spent a week enjoying every minute of it. The home is beautifully furnished with anything you could want. The accommodations were very comfortable and well-appointed. We brought a gate to use at the top of the stairs so our little one would be safe. It was great having the pack-n-play available so we had one less thing to bring. The location is fantastic - bike/walking trails right there, coffee shop/bakery around the corner, walking to town a nice option. We loved it, and would recommend this home. Hope we can stay here again.

This is the best place I have rented. The decor is charming and really fits the surroundings. I love the raccoon planter, the beds, spreads, furniture, etc. Everything one needs is provided and nicely labeled making it easier to find and helps remind me what went where. The location is great as you can walk along the river or walk into Tahoe City. The only draw back, for some, might be that it is not on the lake ( but is as advertised) and you can hear the street traffic when the windows are open. The stairs up to the second floor are a little and steep, but easy to get used to. The master bedroom gets a lot of morning light. I need a dark room to sleep so I slept downstairs a couple nights. We enjoyed the hot tub. I thought there might be some puzzles and games around but I didn't see any. Someone before us had put a pitcher away that was sticky and dirty but no one would have known unless they were going to use. I washed it and it was good to go. I would definitely rent this house again from Charlene, if I'm up this way, and I would love for her to come decorate MY house. You won't be sorry if you stay here!

Rare Find

Such a rarity to find a cabin that is decorated this well, and has great amenities, comfort and style. I'm very picky and found everything we needed here. Charlene helped accommodate us even at the very last minute. We were so comfortable, we only left to get food. Looking to come back later this year. Cathedral Pines is now at the top of our rental choices. The only two things I found wanting was a whisk and a Tahoe flora and fauna book. See, picky...
Owner response:Thanks Pam for the great review. We look forward to seeing you this Fall.

My group of 7 rented this house for a snowboarding/ski trip in Lake Tahoe and had a wonderful experience. The description of the house/amenities is accurate and the location was phenomenal. The house is only a 10-15 minute drive to Alpine Meadows, Squaw Valley and Northstar. There are nearby super markets, places to eat and retail shops. This property is well-maintained and the owner is lovely to do business with. Rent this home and you will be sure to have a good time!

This is a long overdue comment on the this gorgeous house at Cathedral Pines. For NYE 2008 we rented the house for a week long vacation with some friends and our brought along our 2 year old son to enjoy the snow for the first time. It was the PERFECT house for families and friends. A bit of everything for everybody. Super clean, everything you can want/need in the kitchen and the best comfy warm beds ever. Big bonus was the "private" snow park made behind the house by the neighborhood kids. It was perfect not to have to drive anywhere to go sledding! So close by restaurants, and the market and easy to drive to all the ski resorts. So many happy memories made. We will be back for sure!

We just returned from our vacation which included three nights in your lovely home. It was well-appointed, comfortable, and perfect for all of us. The kitchen was especially well stocked. In fact, our grandson enjoyed the black measuring cups more than his own toys! If we ever get back to Lake Tahoe, and your home is still for rent, it is the only place we will stay.

We loved our stay at this well-detailed home. Started with our very pleasant interaction with the thoughtful homeowner. Big binder in the home has accumulated all the info needed for doing just about anything in Tahoe, including some current pamphlets providing info regarding local events taking place during our stay (e.g., free concerts and movies on the public Tahoe City beach). Convenience to Tahoe City was great (within walking distance). Had everything we needed to cook in - very nice, modern kitchen and stainless BBQ on deck). Very clean throughout. Loved the clean jacuzzi, wireless broadband capability, big screen TV with great sound and even a collection of DVDs including some fairly recent releases. Pretty close to the main lakeshore road (89), but we did not hear any road noise from within the house at nights. We hiked, river rafted, and rode horses during the four short days we stayed. Went too fast! The whole family had a great time. Thank you, Charlene!!! The Isoms

Our recent visit to Lake Tahoe for a wedding was enhanced by our stay in your house. It was just the best place for all of us to relax and enjoy our family and friendship together. The house was better than the pictures and description. The special decorator appointments sets it aside from most second rental homes. Our bed (the master bedroom) was as good if not better than then one we have at home. It truly fulfilled our expectations and the location was great for getting anywhere around the lake. The topper was the 12 to 16" of snow that fell over the weekend; made it into a winter wonderland. We all look forward to coming back to such a special house.
