This private and exclusive villa is located on two acres of land in the quiet atmosphere of Discovery Bay overlooking the blue waters of the Caribbean Sea. What an amazing vacation. the host and services were excellent. although the amenities are not at the highest standard the home like feel was nice. the best part of the home is its location. watching the wave splash on the rocks and the ability to jump into 20 ft of crystal clear water and snorkel right off the back yard is nothing shy of Amazing. My goal is to get back to this lovely location within the year.Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, pet owners, girls getaway, sightseeing.

This was an ideal spot with all the accommodations you could ask for. The food was delicious, the staff were great and the rooms were comfortable. The view of the ocean was the best form the back yard and my bedroom. I will be back again and again. I love it!Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, pet owners, families with young children, tourists without a car, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Originally booked it for 5 days but only stayed two. It was not clean, pool was dirty, could not go snorkeling because it was too dangerous, it is cliff side which they do not mention. There were 3 people there that were hired to work as a cook, driver and not so sure what the third guy was but they also stay at the house with you which was awkward because they were in the living room watching tv or hanging around in the house. I recommend staying at silver sands which is where we went when we left here. I stayed at Maranatha Villa for six long weeks from dec11th,2010 until January 22nd,2011. It was a total disaster,the place was not like the photos in the ad.A total missrepresentation.It was dirty,spider webs everywhere,cockroaches in the bathrooms and ants were swarming in the kitchen cabinets and the counters and our food was not safe.The grounds were filthy and the tile everywhere was broken.They said they had satelite which they didn't.The pool could only be filled on calm ocean days which there were few.Very dissapointing. since we were told the pool would have freshwater. The showers were made for people that are four and a half feet tall,hard to wash your hair that way.Their lounge chairs were all broken.It was more like a twenty minute walk to the beach not five minutes like the owner said. The walk is also by the highway,didn't feel very safe.There were no beach towels or blankets to cover yourself with when we arrived and it wasn't resolved for many days after that.I've been travelling for over forty years and the pictures are old, taken a long time ago,the place is totally run down.I am writing this review so that no one else gets taken like I did.I would not recommend this to anyone. your house VIEW SLIDE SHOW DOWNLOAD ALL ADD MORE PHOTOS This online album has 30 photos on SkyDrive.Did you find this review helpful? About the owner: I live in London but enjoy going to Jamaica a few times per year with my family for the Snorkelling, Fishing, Scuba diving and MANGOES(In June and July) and the temperature of 80s all year.
