The apartment is perfectly situated to explore central Paris on foot or find your way to anywhere in greater Paris by Metro (two lines are close by). We're non-athletic sixty somethings and we were able to walk to Notre Dame, the Louvre, Musee D'Orsai and many wonderful restaurants and boulangerie. The interior of the apartment is comfortable and well stocked with appliances and features. I thought it was absolutely perfect. Everything worked and the owners were easy and straightforward to deal with.

Three of us stayed in this wonderful apartment in the Marais the beginning of March. There are not enough good things to say about it. First, the owners were wonderful. They were always responsive (within an hour or two I received an email response) and helpful. The apartment itself was great as well. The pictures very accurately show the apartment (just looking at them makes me want to return!). The size is good and having two full bathrooms attached to each of the bedrooms was ideal (three of us comfortably stayed here and never got in each other's way). The location of the apartment can not be beat. You are within short walking distance to two metro stops, numerous wine stores and bakeries, as well as restaurants lining the main street. We also had the chance to visit the Bastille farmers' market, which was a quick walk from the apartment. The kitchen is well stocked with pots and pans and functioned perfectly in preparing the food we bought at the market. Although we did not need the services of the local apartment manager, she still called to check in on us and make sure everything was in working order and that we were doing well. I would definitely rent this apartment again the next time I travel to Paris and would recommend it to anyone I know who might be thinking about a trip.

It would be very difficult to find a better place to spend your holiday in Paris than at this wonderful apartment. The location is in the heart of the Marais, near fabulous shops, attractions, restaurants, cafes and warm, fresh croissants. This lovely apartment is comfortable and quiet with two suites each with its own bathroom. The living room is welcoming after a long day of enjoying the sights of the City of Lights. The well equipped kitchen has everything you'll need to start the day with breakfast. You'll love this apartment.

The condo was great and the extra touches really made it special. The coffee, eggs, milk and vino were nice. The neighborhood was so cool, metro was close, the cafe on the corner was very good and reasonably priced compared to other places we went to. The process was also very easy and enjoyable, thank you so much for everything!

This was a great apartment for our family of 4 while we explored Paris. The advance preparation by the owners is truly exceptional; from the "how to get here/ what to do before you travel" memo received in advance to the binder in the apartment with essential information on how to use appliances, how to get around, where to buy groceries, etc. The owners paid attention to the details so that our stay was very comfortable and hassle-free. Having rented numerous places for our vacations over the years, we've had our share of hassles and this rental was by far the most organized. The apartment itself was very clean and well equipped. The location was fabulous, on a nice quiet street with plenty of eateries in walking distance. The metro was right around the corner with all the major sites a short ride away. We would certainly stay here again and will not hesitate to recommend to anyone planning a trip to Paris.

This was a wonderful apartment in the heart of the Le Marais district. Apart from having all of the conveniences of home, this place had lots of small extra touches all geared to making your visit more pleasant. Whether the fresh flowers, bottle of wine or frig filled with a 'starter kit' of eggs, milk, coffee etc or the 4 metro tickets. All of these together with lots of local conveniences - markets, metro station, boulangerie and restaurants made this a perfect stay. The owners were terrific in handing our Q&A and the onsite manager (who spoke English) was a gem. Air conditioned bedrooms helped keep things comfortable during the hot summer days. And be sure to have dinner at Chez Janou nearby.

My family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids) spent a great week at Tournelles1. The apartment was clean, safe and spacious enough with lots of light. The friendly apartment manager met us on our first day and was available to answer questions throughout our stay. The appliances were up to date and worked well. We were located within easy walking distance to the Bastille Marketplace, 2 Metro stops, grocery stores and wonderful restaurants. After spending the day traveling to the sites it was wonderful to return "home" to such a nice, quiet place. We would stay here again without reservation.

I always write my reviews by positives and negatives. After all, nothing's perfect. Positives: +comfortable apt. +clean +great beds +everything you need is there: towels, hangers, adapters, coffee machines, washcloths!!!, computer w/internet, t.p., paper towels, washer/drier +great location (safe; near metro &lots of Marais shops & restaurants) +nearby supermarket (Carrefour is great) +responsive owners: questions and concerns taken care of immediately +no surprises: pictures & description on VRBO are accurate. The decor is rather plain, tho. +both bedrooms have complete bathroom. +helpful apt. manager (Amele). She's fluent in English too. +lots of Paris travel books left there by other travelers (Frommers, Fodors, Steves, etc) No need to bring your own. +great map of Marais on the wall. Wish I could have carried it with me +vegan restaurant nearby (I'm a vegetarian) Negatives -in back bedroom, you can hear the footsteps of upstairs neighbors (my only reason for giving this a less than perfect/excellent score). If you're a light sleeper (I am), take ear stopples. I did -- and had to use them. Upstairs neighbor comes in quite later--around 1 a.m. -more/better instructions for washing machine needed in guest book -19 steps to apt. If you have any disability, please keep this in mind. -no dish rack to drain dishes (minor point, but it would be nice) -security deposit seemed rather steep to me. I've never had to pay so much. Maybe it's just Paris. However, it was returned in full and promptly -It's on the edge of Marais rather than the heart of it. Not a problem for me as I love to walk. Overall, I would highly recommend this apt. and would stay there again on my next visit.

Pam and Cheryl's apartment in Le Marais was wonderful. The location could not have been better for our needs. This was our first trip to Paris and we felt safe and comfortable in this lovely neighborhood. We took advantage of some of the owners recommendations and had dinner at Chez Janou (chocolate mousse for dessert!!) one evening and also tried Cafe St. Gilles on another. Both were wonderful and very short walking distance from the apartment. In fact all you could need was very close. Fabulous boucheries, a grocery store for any items needed,Place des Vosges, lovely shops a few blocks away and very easy walk to metro, although we walked our way around much of Paris and only used the metro a handful of times. The apartment itself was lovely and had everything we needed at hand. We took advantage of the well appointed kitchen and bought fresh items at the open market at the Bastille one day and cooked an evening meal. Very cozy beds, spacious living/dining room and lots of hot water made returning to the apartment after long days of sightseeing a treat. One thing to mention is that there is a washer/dryer in the apartment but are french versions and VERY slow. We ended up washing some small items in the washer and then hanging them on the heated towels racks to dry. Not a big deal and actually worked quite well, however, if you are anticipating a long stay and need to wash clothes, I would suggest a nearby laundromat. If I had the opportunity to return to Paris I would rent this apartment again in a minute!

The apartment was perfect for our family of 4. The location was ideal; we walked everywhere, and when it rained there was a Metro stop less than 2 blocks away. Everything about the apartment itself was charming and in excellent working order. We also very much appreciated the wealth of information that our hosts left for us, including two bookcase shelves of guide books. We couldn't have had a better stay, and can't wait to go back! We still talk about the chocolate mousse at Chez Janou...

This apartment was even more gorgeous and spacious than we imagined. Owners Cheryl and Pam have excellent taste and thought of absolutely everything to make us feel at home. We were greeted by their gracious Paris hostess, Adele, who had just placed fresh flowers, a bottle of wine, and a few other treats in the apartment. The bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, and living room-dining area are clean and beautifully decorated. The bookshelves were stocked with owner recommendations and guidebooks. One in particular, WALKS, was a particular delight and every day we explored a different neighborhood. We visited the nearby bakeries, local cafes, and open-air markets, cooking some of our meals in. We also made a few neighborhood discoveries of our own - the highly-entertaining Cirque d'hiver that opened on the weekend we arrived, and we explored the charming nearby street, Rue Amelot. Two recommendations: the Piano Bar Bistrot, where we had a good meal while being royally entertained by fabulous musicians and LaCuizine, 73 Rue Amelot where we ate twice because we loved the food and ambiance. The first night we visited LaCuizine, my husband accidentally left his credit card. They were closed the next two days, but left a nice note for him in the restaurant window. We retrieved his credit card, but also went back another night because they were so nice and the food was so delicious. We would definitely rent this apartment again. Thank you!

A friend of mine and I rented Pam and Cheryl's apartment for a week this past July. It was truly a wonderful experience. The apartment is tastefully decorated, clean, and has everything one could need. It is nicely located, as well. It is easy to jump on the metro there and not a far walk from the busy section of the La Marais. A bonus in the experience is that we had a chance to get to know the owners. They were gracious and accommodating, not to mention extremely helpful in assisting us with ideas of places to eat. I thank them both for renting us their unit and for their hospitality.

I would highly recommend staying at this lovely apartment. Everything was just as described and the pictures are exactly how the place is. The apartment is so comfortable and wonderfully cared for. The location is very convenient and has many places to eat close by. We stayed here as a family of 4 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Pam and Cheryl were very accomodating and helpful as well as Amele, the property manager. We LOVED this apartment and would definitely stay there again. Having the laptop and wi-fi at the apartment was an added bonus and much appreciated. It really was home away from home. We miss it already!

We had a great vacation largely en-part to the rental of this apartment. It was as described, well appointed, very clean and well cared for. The manager had added some nice welcoming touches after a long trip. We discovered the local farmers market only blocks away on our first full day, and stocked up for the week! It was so nice to be able to bring food back and have all the comforts of home. The area was perfect for us! Walking distance to so many attractions. The Metro was very close and easily accessible. The incredible restaurants in the area are a must visit, Le Petit Marche was only a block away. The food was awesome, as was the friendly staff. So much so we returned for another great experience later in the week. Another must, a nice walk through the neighborhood a few blocks away was Robert et Louise 64 Rue Vieille du Temple, 75003 Paris 3e. If you'd like a very traditional Parisian experience this was the place to be. With different grilled meats over an open flame while you watch, adds to the charm of the place. We cant wait to go back and rent the place again. The only downside to the whole trip was, it was only a week! :) We could have stayed another without question. Thank you P/C for the ease and simplicity of the rental process and a great apartment. We really enjoyed our time there and cant wait to return.

We stayed at this lovely apartment the last part of October 2010 with another couple. It was absolutely perfect!! The neighborhood is charming and very safe. We walked around and took the metro everywhere and sometimes did not arrive back to the apartment until close to Midnight. The beds are super comfortable, and the water pressure is outstanding! Apartment is well equipped with everything two couples or a small family would need. We are already planning on going back to Paris and will definately stay here again. Thanks Pam & Cheryl for sharing your lovely second home with us!

We found the apartment spacious, the kitchen was small, but had everything we needed and then some, and the location was really easy to walk to many sites in Paris from. It was also easy to catch the metro and go to the places we couldn't walk to. We ate at many of the local restaurants and had excellent food at all of them. It was a bit noisy at times, it seemed like they were picking up trash at all hours! The convenience of the location and the pleasant clean apartment made up for that. I would definitely stay here again.

We were there in late august, beginnig september, it was fabulous. The appartement is well located.Near subway, near groceries, near a fabulous bakery and many cafe... The Marais is fun to walk to, you will see many people but in the same time at night it was quiet. In the appartement what we liked the most,it's that when we were in our bedroom , we thaught that we were in a hotel, because we had our own bathroom. It was very clean, we had everything we need and more . It was great beeing there at night after a busy day of visiting Paris. Wonderful place. Plenty of room for four. Nicely furnished, simple but charming - not fussy or crowded. Exceptionally clean. Good security. Well appointed kitchen, washer/dryer, TV, computer, iron and full size board, two air-conditioning units, phone - all in perfect working order. Binder with clear instructions on how everything in apartment works that also contained lots of info on restaurants, transportation, near-by stores, etc. was labor-saving. Lots of maps and guide books in the apartment. We never heard any of our neighbors - very quiet (until morning trash pick-up on the street below!) Courtyard allows for cross ventilation - welcome in hot summer months. Marias, Arrondissement 3 is very good location - our favorite. The owner's Paris associate was very helpful and speaks excellent English. The owner's were very pleasant and professional to deal with and most generous with information. We recommend this place and these people without reservation and will hope that it is available for our next visit.

We had a very nice stay here in early summer. The property is very clean and well maintained. The apt is extremely well located--just around the corner from the metro and a bustling neighborhood (the Marais is real Paris) but on a quiet street with relatively little traffic. Sleeping through the night was no problem at all. Nice quality towels and sheets. Financial/logistical arrangements went off without a hitch, no issues with getting the security deposit back, owners were very easy to deal with. Having the phone and computer really helped with last minute reservations and travel research. Hopefully we can try Tournelles 2 on a future trip.

I rented this apartment over New Year's Eve 2009- 2010 and had a fantastic stay. I had already rented the owners' other unit, Tournelles 2, the year prior and knew of their special touches and their unmatched service! The apartment lives up -- no, surpasses -- the photos on the site and the level of thoughtfulness the owners Pam and Cheryl have put into the rental experience is unmatched. Every US/UK-style amenity you would want (wireless internet, cable, washer-dryer, DVD player, computer, dishwasher, efficient heating in winter, etc.) is available on-site, enveloped in the setting of a classic, charming Parisian apartment (high ceilings, hardwood floors, french windows, and a classic building). Each rental also comes with a starter supply of milk, butter, bottled water, paper towels, TP, etc -- such a special touch when you arrive in the apartment after a long international flight (in my case from Los Angeles)!! The location is unmatched -- prime Marais with one subway line 2 blocks away, Place de la Bastille a few blocks further... one of the best bakeries in Paris is two blocks away and a superb wine shop next door to that... a good-sized supermarket is 2 blocks in the other direction, and a 24 hour market is just one block away. Truly, you won't find a more ideal location -- or overall experience. This apartment is comparable in size and charm to the other (Tournelles 2 - see my guest comment on its web page). The units are very similar in amenities and literally next door in the building (they share the landing of the staircase). Tournelles 2 has a slightly better designed kitchen if you are planning to spend any major amount of time cooking, but I made a fairly elaborate New Year's Eve dinner for four people in this apartment, so I can attest is also very well equipped for cooking. But with so many excellent restaurants in Paris -- and many within walking distance -- chances are you'll spend little time at the stove! You won't regret your experience in either of these units!

This is a fabulous apartment -- my friend and I wanted to stay forever...In a perfect location, beautifully remodeled and decorated, and with 2 bathrooms, which is almost unheard of in Parisian apartments! My wife and I have rented other apartments in Paris a few times before. For our first trip with our new baby, we had the pleasure of renting from Cherly and Pam. I had some doubts (and lowered expectations) based on the fact that their apartment was a great deal - but it was absolutely out of this world. it had all the creature comforts of home (which helped when preparing food, and giving baths to our baby), had lots of space in the apartment, and is in a great location in the city - close to the metro and a short walk to the louvre, concorde, seine etc. It was clean, and their contact in Paris was available to help (even though we didn't need her - was great to know that someone was there). Highly recommended - and it was just nice dealing with Cheryl and Pam. I am looking forward to our next trip back (but i don't want this review to be too glowing, or else the apartment will be booked when we try to return)!

We had a great time in this lovely apartment. It is in a great location and dealing with the owners was a pleasure. We are a family of four and had more than enough room. Enjoyed our trip and would encourage anyone who is planning a trip to check out this apartment. They won't be disappointed!!

We had the good fortune to stay in both Tournelle 1 and 2 on our trip. Both apartments are wonderful and even better are the thoughtful touches like the stocked refrigerator, fresh flowers, wine and the laptops with internet access to make planning our days so easy. This was our 4th rental in Paris and by far the best experience. Great location, great space, great landlords. We hope to be back soon!

We enjoyed staying at this wonderful apartment for three weeks, December-January this year. We found this place comfortable and convienent to our visit. Taxi, bus and metro all close by, making getting around very easy. The apartment was most comfortable and pleasant, there were two couples and we each had our bedroom and bath. The kitchen and living room, along with the washer/dryer made for easy living. We could walk a block for fresh bread in the morning and within 5 blocks were wonderful places to eat lunch and dinner. We had a great time. We will be back! Thanks.

This was our first experience with an apartment rental. Pam & Cheryl made it very easy to rent the unit and all the instructions were well thought-out. Because we have a 2-yr old child, the apartment suit us very well with amenities such as a crib (in the 2nd bedroom), refrigerator, and a washer/dryer. The area we stayed was close to the metro and some great landmarks. We would definitely do this again for our next trip to Paris.

The word 'fabulous' says it all: the apartment is what dream trips are made of. It is well-located, well-decorated, comfortable, classy, with all the amenities necessary for a wonderful stay in Paris. THANK YOU for everything you have done to make this rental feel like a home away from home! I can't wait to return.

The apartment is as lovely as pictured on VRBO if not more so. It certainly suited the needs of two ladies "of a certain" age for our stay in Paris. Amele was wonderful, and we are certain everyone who stays at your place can attest to that. We are among the many of your guests who would not think of coming to Paris again without staying at Tournelles1. The apartment was so like a home and the area is just perfect for anything we needed or wanted. Thank you so much for letting us share your apartment in Paris.

We are finishing our trip here in Paris and can't say enough about how wonderful the apartment is. A very quiet neighborhood with close access to the Metro, bistros, shops, museums. Everything you could want for a rental home. The apartment was very clean and had all the essentials in working order. We will certainly stay here again and I would recommend it without hesitation

I met my daughter and her mother-in-law in Paris for a week March 22-27, 2009, and had a fabulous time. The apartment was great, very convenient to Bastille, which was walking distance, and the Metro which was about a block away. It was very clean, in a safe neighborhood and the amenities were great - having a furnished computer, free phone service to the US, a kitchen, washer/dryer, etc. were so much more than we would have had in a hotel room. We would definitely stay there again and recommend this apartment.

We would certainly recommend this apartment rental. 2BR/2BA Modern kitchen. Nicely furnished with W/D. Computer to use as well as phone(free to United States). We were welcomed with fresh flowers, a bottle of wine, and eggs & milk to get us started. This apartment has a super location, close to the Metro, but the neighborhood has wonderful shops & bakeries. Their is a book the owners have compiled with a list of neighborhood restaurants, we ate at 2 and had wonderful meals. We can't wait to go back. Steve & Sally Rothstein Shavertown, Pa

Bonjour Cheryl and Pam, My Parisian vacation was just magical, thanks to your wonderful apartments! Luxurious, best location, convenient to everything. We rented both Tournelle 1 AND 2 for our family reunion (4bd/4ba) and it was so luxurious, truly our home away from home. I checked out at least 100 rentals and yours was above and beyond my expectations. A-1 location, boulangerie, cafes, Metro & grocery store all within a block. Feels like Soho in NYC or No Beach in SF - hip, vibrant and a lot of fun. The apt decor is French chic, modern kitchen and bathrooms with great lighting, the beds were extremely comfortable. So many european rentals are grotty looking with sagging beds, beds in places that have no business being offered as a sleeping area, disgusting furnishings. I am pleased to have found Tournelle 1 AND 2. Oh, the use of the computer and cell phones in your apts took a lot of stress out of planning. We will definitely return and have recommended them to our friends. Thanks again, for making our Paris vacation a fabulous memory! Best Regards, Debbie Hemingway, San Francisco, CA

This is a wonderful apt, beautifully equipped and convenient to all of Paris! Since we were 2 couples traveling together, we enjoyed being able to meet in the living room to plan our day and relax together. One of us would run out to the corner boulangerie for croissant while another made coffee. We even cooked dinner in one night (with the exchange rate, it was a great savings and, frankly, was the best meal we ate in Paris!) We particularly appreciated the notebook full of advice and directions and all of the wonderful guide books. The use of a laptop and telephone were also greatly appreciated! The apt is in a very safe and quiet neighborhood near a several metro stops and interesting sites....don't miss the Picasso Museum! What more can we say? It was magnifique!

This is a delightful apartment less than 2 blocks from the Metro. In 3 days we were able to see the Lourve twice, Versailles, Notre Dame, St Chapelle, Rodin, d'Orsay, d'Orangerie, Eiffel, and the Arc! We rode to and from the airport with no hassle at all. Finally, a phone with free access to the states and a laptop with internet made it very convenient to stay in touch! I highly recommend.

We loved this apartment. We have rented a number of apartments in Paris, and this one was the best. Very comfortable and extremely well-equipped for a week's stay. Perfect space for two couples and great location -- we walked almost everywhere, but convenient metros nearby. Others have commented on amenities, English speaking "concierge" and ease of working with owners--we agree all of that was terrific too. Would stay again.

The perfect rental. Neighborhood, comfortable beds (each with its own bath), amenities (computer, free phone to states, Metro tickets, every imaginable kitchen appliance, utensils & cookware), welcoming (wine, flowers, eggs and milk in fridge, friendly and available local contact person), charm and modernity combined with style and cleanliness. We will be back for sure.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !! An absolutely first rate experience overall. Owners were easy to contact and responsive throughout. The Parisian contact speaks English and is delightful and attentive. When we were there during a metro strike in Nov 2007, she walked to the apt to check up on us and answer our questions (also recommended a great restaurant nearby). Apt is as it seems on the website--completelly renovated, and a good size. Very important:beds are actually comfortable; hot water never a problem. Use of the laptop is very handy to look things up on mapquest, check opening time etc. Free calls to US , Canada and France a big plus. Charming older bldg in a great neighborhood, more bakeries, cafes, stores, groceries, etc than you can visit. And a great location for metro or even walking--about 15 min to Notre Dame, Latin Quarter. We picked this apt only from the website, and did not know the owners beforehand. We have rented apts in other European cities several times, and for all the amenities, the location, dealing with the owners, comforts and price, this was by far the best rental. Stay here and know you will have a truly memorable experience in Paris.

We highly reoommend this beautiful apartment, which exceeded our expectations for comfort and style. It is perfect for two couples with its spacious rooms and two in-suite baths. Everything you could want is there, along with an English-speaking caretaker. We would love to return! Joanne, Jim, Joyce and Danny

We loved this apartment and would definitely stay here again! The location was great; quiet but convenient. We appreciated the little amenities that you wouldn't get in a hotel; the laptop, cell phone and even a few metro tickets to start us off. It was nice to be able to go out for bread in the morning and eat in "our" apt. It made us feel very French. By the way, the 2 queen-sized beds were very comfortable. Thanks for opening your home to us. Janet, Amy, Emily and Gabby

Stop searching! This is the perfect home base for your Paris adventures! From begining to (sad) end the owners and their local host made us feel like family. The rental process was the easiest we have had in 10 years of travel. The spacious apartment afforded the remarkable feeling of being "locals". The location was perfect for walking, eating, catching the Metro, shopping, etc. Be sure to go to the local "farmer's market" a 5 minute walk on Sundays and Thursdays at Bastille. Even our 14 year old daughter called this "the best vacation of my life"!!

Truly a great place to stay for two couples. The apartment was well equiped with just about every conceivable electronic gadget, and the surrounding Marais area was a lot of fun. The apartment is near two metro stations, which made intercity travel very convenient. Pam and Cheryl made the rental process easy, and provided an invaluable apartment guide to include appliance instructions, local restaurant insights and Paris touring suggestions. Their Paris representative (Amele) was friendly and available to help if needed.... it was a comfort having a Parisian contact. We are recommending the apartment to our friends, and we would definitely rent the apartment again.

This apartment is absolutely fantastic. The apartment is very spacious by Paris standards, and comfortably fits two couples (2 queen sized beds and two separate bathrooms), which is very difficult to find. Additionally, the owners (Cheryl and Pam) are absolutely wonderful to work with. Also, the contact in Paris (I forgot her name) was very helpful. The added touches, such as free calls to the United States, fresh flowers and a laptop with the internet went way beyond our expectations. When we go to Paris, this will be where we will stay from now on. Also, you can certainly contact me via e-mail if you have any questions.
