Why the Owner Chose Hanalei
I designed and built this home (with the help of many many people of course). I love it and really put attention to details and comfort into it. We own the home directly behind it as well otherwise I would live in it myself! Enjoy.
The Unique Benefits at this House
The location and value is unparalleled here. You can walk to the beach, to town, to the river for kayaking. I have made every effort to make it your home, not just a vacation spot. We have bikes, surf and boogie boards, loads of amenities for kids, linens, towels, ping pong, everything you need for the beach, you name it. I am a full time resident of Kauai and am here to help out with whatever you need to make your stay memorable and comfortable. Aloha.

Kauai, Hanalei, NamiNori--perfect getaway. We've spent 12 summer vacations in Kauai. Last two at NamiNori. It's beautifully equipped, and the perfect location for morning beach walks, north shore snorkeling and all the quirky stuff that comes with Hanalei. We're doing it again this summer.

NamiNori is the sixth house we've rented via VRBO & HomeAway, and we have yet to be disappointed. The location is the greatest asset of this house. We thoroughly enjoyed being so close to Hanalei's pier and Black Pot Beach. We spent each morning at the pier photographing the sunrise, and each evening at the pier photographing the sunsets. We really loved the pier and park, as you can tell. The house is very private and very comfortable. The tall hedge fence and lush gardens provide a peaceful sanctuary. We enjoyed having a separate master suite and loved the lanai area. The kitchen had plenty of dishes, pots and pans, however we would love to see the owners stock the basics like salt & pepper, oil, sugar, etc. that other rentals have provided. We literally had to buy every little thing to be able to use the kitchen properly, and at Hanalei prices that can get expensive very quickly. Air conditioning in the master suite is listed as a selling point in all of the listings we found for this house, however the air conditioner was broken and could not be repaired while we were there. Was it a vacation killer? No - the trade winds are very pleasant and keep the house cool, and the daily light rainstorms helped, too. We loved the gardens, and it's obvious the owners take great pride in them. We enjoyed fresh limes right off the tree, and saw green bananas that will make a future renter very happy. We even had a family of chickens in residence while we were there. The house does provide unsecured wireless access for the internet, and a printer was available in the living room, although there was no paper for it. Overall, we found the house very clean, very comfortable, and very pleasant. The location is unbeatable. Weke Road is a beautiful, quiet street and Hanalei shopping and restaurants are an easy walk or bike ride away. The owner is very friendly and accomodating, and returns phone calls for assistance very quickly. We spent 8 days checking out all the beaches & towns on the island, but Hanalei Bay was by far our favorite. We loved the laid back vibe of NamiNori House, Hanalei town and it's people. It was the perfect place for us, and choosing the right house and location made our vacation even better than we imagined. We would definitely recommend NamiNori and Hanalei Bay to other renters. I cannot imagine anyone being disappointed with this little corner of paradise. It was heaven for us. Mahalo, Nikki.

We stayed at the NamiNori house in October 2009 and had a wonderful time! We traveld to Kauai to elope, and stayed for two weeks. The location of the house was perfect! We could walk to the beach and ride the house bikes to town and the farmer's market. Although the house had 2 surf boards, we rented stand up boards from the very local surf company for the week and enjoyed paddeling the river and catching a few waves in the bay. I travel alot for work and the bed in the master suite was the most conformtable bed I have slept in! We can not wait to come back to celebrate our 1st Anniverey and will look to stay at the NamiNori House again but will bring some friends along this time! Thanks Nikki!

It has been over a month since our stay at the NamiNori House and all I can say is that we miss it so much! Our stay was just perfect. From the start, it was a pleasure to correspond with Nikki and upon arrival we were beyond happy with what we saw. I agree with one of the previous reviews...the photos really don't do the property justice. The NamiNori House has everything you could need for a tropical stay and more: well appointed home (simple, clean, tastefully decorated), hammock, beach amenities, outdoor shower, beautiful lanai, games/toys which made the stay for our 5 year old a blast...the list goes on and on! And the beach cruisers made getting to and from Hanalei town a fun excursion. The super close proximity to the amazing beach was also great! I look forward to coming back and would recommend the NamiNori property without hesitation. It would be a perfect set up with the master suite for family vacations too. What a find! Thank you Nikki for a wonderful stay! Pauline, Jennie, Kate & Meredith - San Francisco, CA / Oahu

W have rented numerous houses for vacations and this is by far our best choice yet. The house itself is fantastic as are the landscaping, the location and the owners. There is plenty to do onsite with the beach and river only steps away. There are all kinds of beach toys to use and bikes to ride into town. There is a pingpong table and an exercise room complete with a pilates table, treadmill and spinner bike. The house is nicely decorated and very clean. There are lots of spices and condiments to use if you are cooking or grilling. We can't say enough good things about this rental.

Dear Nikki, What a dreamy time we had staying at your beautiful house. Thanks for everything you did to make our vacation, which was so desperately needed, so seamlessly enjoyable. Our son did his first sea swimming and ate his first few handfuls of sand, Britt practiced his surfing, and I learned to surf and paddle! Not to mention all of the unforgettable walks, hikes, and bike rides we took throughout the green wilds of Hanalei bay and Kauai.

We stayed at the NamiNori House in May. When we arrived it became immediately obvious that the pictures had failed to do this home justice. From the beautiful gardens to the house itself evrything was perfect. Hanalei bay and the fishing pier are a minute away. From the crystal clear water of the bay to the beautiful sunsets to the green tropical mountains that surround you, you're in paradise. This was the best vacation ever. Staying at the Naminori House was the highlight of the trip. We are plannig to return next year.

WOW! The pictures posted on VRBO just don't do justice to this home in the most beautiful vacation spot in the world. The accomodations were absolutely first class. It's just across the street from the Hanalei Pier and the lot across the street is vacant. You have a gym, but come on, just jog down Weke street and enjoy the beauty. Relax on the beach at Hanalei or hop in the car and take the 10 minute drive to Tunnels beach and snorkel with the sea turtles. We've rented through VRBO for the last 6 years and Nikki's house and hospitality have been the best we've ever encountered!
