This cabin was AMAZING!!!! we arrived friday night followed direction provided by renter to the lock box and made our way in to the cabin. Didn't really know what to expect. With the flick of the light we were all shocked by the beauty, coziness and cleanliness of this cabin! as you enter you walk directly in the the living and dining rooms. I went directly for the big corduroy couch that was very comfy! Accompanying the couch was a big flat panel tv with country stove (very nice) ! The kitchen was great; open concept designed into the living room, so while you cook you never leave the room ,oven and microwave, and nice set of all sizes and shapes of pots and pans. Beds were clean and comfortable, master bed room was beautiful and HUGE, with a full large bathroom! Back deck had wonderful views of the mountainas, oh soo much fun! We cant forget about the hot tub out side! Great for soaking you muscles after a long day of ski/snowboarding and hiking which we did all of! Overall great cabin, big, spacious, minutes to the slopes and near by grocery store. I will defiantly recommend this cabin to every one! (just not the weekends i would want to go up!)

I'm not one for reviews and I've only Yelped once in my life, but this past weekend I just spent in Lake Tahoe was one of the best. For my 40th birthday a bunch of my friends and our children decided to get away for a week of snowboarding and winter fun. There is so much to do at Lake Tahoe and we did take full advantage. However there was a large faction that never decided to leave the house and this is where this wonderful vacation rental really shined. It was such a enviroment to relax, cook, and chat. We gathered a lot in and around the open kitchen while meals were being cooked. Of course I didn't have to partake being I was the birthday boy : ) So not having been involved in much of the food prepping, I spent most of my time in the true gem of the house..We played pool all weekend long while the kids played in the snow in the big backyard outside. I now cannot foresee having a house without one. If I can say one last thing, it would have to be about the owner of this place. Though we never met, I fully trusted that she had our best interests at heart. Always there for any questions or trouble shooting, really pleasant to talk to on the phone, and you can tell she really loves her place, and it was super clean upon arrival and looked like the cleaning staff really cared also.We hope to visit again for sure. Oh yeah there's a hot tub, but if you go, don't forget your swim gear like I did. Bon Voyage

Thank you, thank you, for sharing your home with my extended family. The house was GREAT!!! it fit our needs and wants well. Super location...close to all. We spent lots of time just "hanging out" here while the kids sledded and made snowmen in the backyard. Our vacation was better than we anticipated with your beautiful home to stay at. The house is great. Awesome condition, super location, super nice owner. We would LOVE to stay here again. Our party of 10 had a great time. The beds were all King and totally good for us couples. The living room is super roomy, and the main bedroom is HUGE. Great rental

We have used VRBO on several occasions to obtain accommodations for vacation housing, with very good results. This house was no exception. It is spacious, it is well appointed, it shows alot of pride in ownership, and above all, apparently well managed. We have rented this house twice and both times it has been spotless upon entering. The private hot tub is large and well maintained. The views are beautiful. I love to wake up early, drink my coffee and watch the sun come up over the mountains. This house provides that opportunity. The master bedroom is large and the bed is comfortable. My kids were also comfortable in all the other bedrooms. The location is convenient and away from the hustle bustle without being so far that it becomes inconvenient. I tried to reserve this house a third time this year and was not able to because it was already booked. Surprise, surprise! Anyone who has seen this property or rented it previously would not hesitate to try to reserve it again. The owner are quite kind and caring, and actually called the unit after we checked in to make sure that everything was to our liking. Now that is unusual! If you are looking for "worry free" accommodations, I would recommend trying to reserve this property.
Owner response:Thanks Debbie. Its always a pleasure to have your family use my home. I have you pencilled in for next year!

Like many of the other guests, we also vacation with two other families. I choose this property because of the great downstairs area. We were able to relegate the teens to the downstairs with their own movies and music while the adults enjoyed music and wine upstairs and on the deck. The furnishings are much nicer than you normally find in a rental property. Beds were comfortable with quality linens. We stay in Lake Tahoe every summer and this was certainly the nicest home we have rented.

My extended family loved the home and location. It was bright, open, and had plenty of room for all 14 of us. We liked being close to the Lake with shops and casino nightlife. We all took a hike from the house and ended up at a park down the street that had frisbee golf and ball fields which was a plus. We loved the view from the deck, and would come back here another time.

And just what we were looking for. We had never been to Lake Tahoe before, and was hoping to find a nice spacious home in the woods to get that true mountain feeling, yet not too far from the action. This was it! Totally enjoyed the quiet, peaceful neighborhood, and the views of the mountains and meadow off the deck. We spent our mornings and evenings enjoying the deck, and the daytime sightseeing around the Lake. Easy access to shops and the lake at Kings Beach which we really enjoyed walking around. The web site describes the house well. We were very happy with the layout and the size which gave us all our space without feeling trapped. The house is furnished better than other vacation rentals we stayed at, and had a lot of extra amenities, and creature comforts. The kitchen was fully stocked and we were able to cook all our menus. The bedrooms were large with good bedding and comfortable beds. We needed that after all the hiking we did around the neighborhood. Sitting in the hot tub on the deck was the best overlooking the trees. It was a good trip, good experience and great home.

My husband and I took a long needed vacation to Lake Tahoe. We chose this house because we wanted a larger home, and the price was right. When we were looking at the reviews, we were a little concerned about the 1 negative review. We couldn't have been happier with the home or the Owners service. She was always available when we called with questions before our trip, and when we got there. Upon our arrival, a screen had blown off and we called her to advise. She had her maintenance man there within 1 hour. The next day we tripped the breaker box. Within 1 hour after we called, she had someone there. We couldn't have been happier with her service or the house. We never felt like we were in a dormitory style home, or even a vacation rental! The house was furnished with lots of great amenities and we felt at home. It was a great experience and we look forward to coming back here.
Owner response:John; I'm glad you enjoyed the house and glad you understand how the reviews work. Its a wonderful thing to comment on the experience of staying at my home for myself and future guests. .

We are a family of 10 that are stayed here last August. I honestly don't have enough nice things to say about the property. It is beautiful, well appointed with many unique accents, clean and the location could not be better. We walk or ride our bikes everywhere. The grill on the balcony is so nice with the spectacular mountain views.. The master bedroom upstairs, along with the other 5 bedrooms has given our family plenty of room and space. The kids also love having a flat screen tv upstairs. We have loved it so much that we are extending our stay! I highly recommend this beautiful home and know that you will be so pleased with this property. Thank you. Bill and Sue

While so much of what others have written is true (great location, nice view from balcony of the forest and hills, and lots of bedrooms), we found the house very dirty and only suitable for adults who simply need a lot of bedrooms. Additionally, the pool table was missing many balls, was covered in dust and the remaining balls were filthy, so it clearly had not been cleaned in some time and could not be used. The floors were disgusting throughout, but particularly the common rooms (living, dining and kitchen). We have small children and could leave it this way. We called Sandy the first night and it supposedly pages her (she is not living locally), and she did not return our call. We left another message the 2nd night and she did not respond until the 3rd morning. She did make sure the maid came out to clean the common room floors. Unfortunately, we left our DVD case on the pool table upon departure (which is in the living room next to the TV so impossible to miss) and Sandy did not even return our calls or emails about this. We find this very unprofessional (and very expensive for us to replace all the dvds). We would not recommend this house to friends, nor can we recommend renting any of Sandy's properties given the circumstances.
Owner response:These allegations are incorrect. The fact is a large group stayed here with lots of kids before calling me late the 2nd evening, which I responded to in the morning. When my cleaning service arrived, they found half of the pool table balls in drawers and scattered throughout the house (kids), and dirty floors that looked like an after party that hadn't been cleaned up yet. The same cleaning service had steam cleaned the floors the day of their arrival. The DVD case was not left on the pool table, and after hearing where all the pool table balls were found, we spent 2 days looking for the DVD case around the house. He refused to accept the case hadn't been found and was advised if it was, that I would contact him. I really, really, really wish it was left on the table, and we had found it. I work hard a pleasing those that stay at my homes, and know this malicious review was based on him "misplacing" his DVD case.

We have a group of eight ladies that love to come up to this home every April/May for our retreat. We have come to think of this as our second home - our home away from home. We enjoy our time together so much, but being in this beautiful home makes it so extra special. We've tried other places, but always seem to come back here. This year will be our 5th year staying here. We have all decided that this is the place we want to stay every year from now on.

This house is absolutely beautiful and in great shape. The living room and dining area have plenty of room for a large group. 2nd floor is "dormitory" style sleeping with 1 or 2 beds in every room; perfect for a large group of friends or extended family. Landlord was very personable and available throughout the experience. Couldn't be happier.

Our large family stayed in the home for a week. We found it not only to be comfortable and meet our needs and then some. To our surprise it surpassed our expectations in every area. The photos do not do it justice. It is even better in person. We will definitely stay here again and would actually consider buying it if we had a smaller family. I love the wood and the decor. I find it very inviting and luxurious. Too bad we had to leave. In addition, the entire experience was more than pleasurable, it was a delight. Kudos to the owner who goes the extra mile to address all concerns and answer any questions with the hiking trails, info on dining, ski resorts, and the best nightlife! With Northstar and Squaw Valley and the king jewel TAHOE of the sierras a short distance away...it is the perfect location, what more could you ask for! We have and will continue to recommend this fine vacation rental to those who want to get away.

As a "first timer" to beautiful Lake Tahoe, your rental home (103685) was clean and well furnished. The utensils, bedding, towels etc were clean and plentiful. The suggestions you gave us for restaurants, sightseeing, entertainment etc were so helpful and made our stay a perfect vacation. We thank you again and we look forward to another Lake Tahoe vacation, of course, at one of your fine rentals.

I have been going to Lake Tahoe every summer for 10 years, which 5 of these years I've stayed at one of Sandy's homes. All of them except 1 are walking distance to each other, and in an ideal location at Kings Beach. The quiet pocket of homes are surrounded by forestland, and great hiking trails. Just a few minutes to the Lake, restaurants and casinos, yet the total Tahoe experience when at the house. Last June we stayed at this home, and have re-booked for next June. We loved the size of the home with most of the bedrooms having a King bed. The kids were able to be play downstairs without disturbing the adults upstairs. The nice dining room table was a focal point for our group with lots of card playing. The deck has nice views of the mountains and meadow. Its great to have the open land around the home. We also have become friends with the neighbors in the area! Everyone around the homes are friendly and its the kind of neighborhood where everyone knows everyone else. We like the furnishings and comfortable beds and bedding. The pool table kept us busy at night, and the hot tub has beautiful views. The kitchen has everything needed for cooking for large family's and we cook most of meals at the house. This house will make you feel like you're at home, because you have all the amenities of home. You're able to relax here, and spend your time touring Lake Tahoe with great spot to come back to. We look forward to our upcoming trip, and I'm sure, another memorable time at this home with family and friends.

Sandy, This was our first visit to Lake Tahoe. We have been married for 54 years. So this was a big event. Your home came on a recommendation from a former visitor. It was a Thanksgiving trip that we had been looking forward too for quite some time. There is so much to say and some day we will say it yo you personally. The house was great, the service you provided everytime we called was so helpful. We will refer anyone that asks us where to stay to your homes. They are really splendid.
