My family and I (8 of us - 4 adults, 1 senior and 3 children) stayed at the villa March 11-18 2012 and loved our time there. The location is fantastic for our group, as we are avid snorkelers. Right between Champagne Pond and Wai'opae preserve. Good jumping off point for visiting Volcano National Park, Mauna Kea Observatory, Hilo and driving up the coast to Waipio Valley, Akaka Falls and much more. Being on the Hilo side which is notorious for rain, we were fine here. It would rain through the night and be gone by morning. Besides, we love the green, more lush side of the islands over the drier, more desert like the leeward sides. The Villa is situated on a lovely piece of well maintained property. Although its in a gated community with houses all around, you still feel secluded in the home and are not bothered by other guests renting the homes around you. It was kitted out well, and we didn't seem to miss anything (only small complaint would be the beds are rather hard but that is a personal preference). The resident caretaker Audrey was fantastic! She was a great source of information and even brought us a couple of fish a neighbour caught and cleaned for our lunch one day. The villa is definitely a home away from home, and I whole-heartedly recommend this place to anyone and everyone!

Audrey is the best! She's there when you need her and invisible when you don't. We had 14 people between the 2 houses. Great time. The houses had everything we needed we love Puna. The real Hawaii, Wow! What a great time! I especially enjoyed swimming out front with the fish & turtles. Accommodations are clean and ecofriendly. Thanks so much!

What a fantastic time we had! Much too short, but we will be coming back! Tidepools, floating in the surf, seeing the volcano lava lake bubble and smoke, and an amazing hike across the lava lakebed in the park. Not to mention, of course, meals on the lanai and falling asleep to the sounds of the ocean. Many thanks to Audrey, a wonderful hostess & resource for seeing all we could during our short stay! Thanks!!

We had a lot of fun in the house the kids loved their bunk beds. We went to the warm ponds near here too. We had a few accidents but we were fine.

The pictures do due the property justice. From sunup to sundown it's beautiful here. If you're looking to relax this is the place. Perfect for families (2 on our trip, 4 adults & 2 kids). Gated community is a plus. The snorkeling, fishing, swimming, Champaign pond, the tide pools... everything was amazing. The house is very clean, not the most comfortable beds, but whatever! Audrey, who maintains the property could not have been sweeter!!! We look forward to going back again soon.

From sea turtles to waterfalls to volcanic eruptions, this has been quite a memorable week. Audrey, your hospitality has been truly amazing - you really made us feel welcome and at home. We've been to Hawaii 4 times b/4 stayed in a number of places, but this beats all. The access to the ocean is fabulous, wonderful & amazing. Caught some waves with my 8 years old grandson on the boogie boards, went snorkeling got up close to some big turtles. It was divine to come back here after all our days activities. Audrey was always right there with a helping instructions or guidance. Really relaxing appreciate the chance to stay here. Mahalo.

All our Kitchen needs met! Loved the house but the little swimming cove was the greatest. Great pizza @ Boogie Woogie! On the way back from the black sand beach (we saw lots of turtles & fishes) we stopped @ Pearls Bakery only open a few months - on Highway 11- great pulled pork sandwiches & all homemade pastries. Best brownies ever, as soon as we pay for this trip we will be back!

This was the perfect house for our group (6 adults, 2 kids). The house is clean, spacious, and offers breathtaking views. We enjoyed all of our meals on the huge lanai, even during the beautiful storms, which were a welcome break from the heat. We've come to the big island twice, and have spent time on both sides each trip, completely different experiences and highly recommended! We saw turtles from the property almost every time we walked down to the sea wall. The on-site caretaker (Audrey) was very sweet, welcoming, and helpful. If we are lucky enough to return to this island we will definitely stay here again. Thanks so much!!

This was really awesome! Thanks! My mom thought champagne pond was beautiful. me and my brother went boogie boarding and caught some big waves! At the last minute my dad, brother and I went fishing. The fish just wouldn't bite! Thanks you once again!
