This was our first trip the Big Island it was a well planned escape from a hectic life for my husband and me. No kids, no responsibilities. This place was just what we were looking for!! Quiet, Beauitful and all around perfect. Audrey was the most gracious hostess! Thank you for a wonderful vacation :)

We loved our time away from the hussle and bussle. Beautiful sun, ocean, fishing, amenties were perfect! Need to plan for another trip soon. Very soon. Memories were great! Much Mahalo for Audrey for her warm & loving hospitaltiy! Because of her, we will be back!

The stars are too bright, the beer is too cold, the wildlife (hawks and fishes and turtles, oh my!) is too amazing, teh water is too beautiful, Too much Fun! More than human beings should be allowed! And our whole Ohana Rocks!

Thank you for the hospitality. The house has ample room for the entire family to spread out. We loved being a swim away from Champagne Pond and a short drive away from so many sights in Puna! We hope to return. I enjoyed watching the waves. I liked seeing the turtles, also looking at the stars. The sights and sounds and people were wonderful! We are already planning our Return. Thank you!

This was our 1st Kapoho Beach House Experience. We love it too much! We are thinking of planning another stay -Soon. Aunty Audrey is awesome! This is where my family will come back again for summer. A Hui Hou! Until we see this place again!

After on year of planning, the Iwatas came together for the Reunion of a lifetime. The Family roots pine in Pahoa, but the best memories are in Kapoho. Thank you for the best Reunion.

My family and I (8 of us - 4 adults, 1 senior and 3 children) stayed at the villa March 11-18 2012 and loved our time there. The location is fantastic for our group, as we are avid snorkelers. Right between Champagne Pond and Wai'opae preserve. Good jumping off point for visiting Volcano National Park, Mauna Kea Observatory, Hilo and driving up the coast to Waipio Valley, Akaka Falls and much more. Being on the Hilo side which is notorious for rain, we were fine here. It would rain through the night and be gone by morning. Besides, we love the green, more lush side of the islands over the drier, more desert like the leeward sides. The Villa is situated on a lovely piece of well maintained property. Although its in a gated community with houses all around, you still feel secluded in the home and are not bothered by other guests renting the homes around you. It was kitted out well, and we didn't seem to miss anything (only small complaint would be the beds are rather hard but that is a personal preference). The resident caretaker Audrey was fantastic! She was a great source of information and even brought us a couple of fish a neighbour caught and cleaned for our lunch one day. The villa is definitely a home away from home, and I whole-heartedly recommend this place to anyone and everyone!

Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

From sea turtles to waterfalls to volcanic eruptions, this has been quite a memorable week. Audrey, your hospitality has been truly amazing - you really made us feel welcome and at home. We've been to Hawaii 4 times b/4 stayed in a number of places, but this beats all. The access to the ocean is fabulous, wonderful & amazing. Caught some waves with my 8 years old grandson on the boogie boards, went snorkeling got up close to some big turtles. It was divine to come back here after all our days activities. Audrey was always right there with a helping instructions or guidance. Really relaxing appreciate the chance to stay here. Mahalo.

All our Kitchen needs met! Loved the house but the little swimming cove was the greatest. Great pizza @ Boogie Woogie! On the way back from the black sand beach (we saw lots of turtles & fishes) we stopped @ Pearls Bakery only open a few months - on Highway 11- great pulled pork sandwiches & all homemade pastries. Best brownies ever, as soon as we pay for this trip we will be back!

This was the perfect house for our group (6 adults, 2 kids). The house is clean, spacious, and offers breathtaking views. We enjoyed all of our meals on the huge lanai, even during the beautiful storms, which were a welcome break from the heat. We've come to the big island twice, and have spent time on both sides each trip, completely different experiences and highly recommended! We saw turtles from the property almost every time we walked down to the sea wall. The on-site caretaker (Audrey) was very sweet, welcoming, and helpful. If we are lucky enough to return to this island we will definitely stay here again. Thanks so much!!

Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, sightseeing.

This was really awesome! Thanks! My mom thought champagne pond was beautiful. me and my brother went boogie boarding and caught some big waves! At the last minute my dad, brother and I went fishing. The fish just wouldn't bite! Thanks you once again!

This is our 2nd trip to the Oceanside Villa & it's fantastic. Carl grew up in Hilo & his parents owned a beach home in Kapoho Vacationland, so this is special to share with his family. Everything in the house was great, Audrey was an excellent host, & the ocean activities never disappoint. Mahalo

Enjoyed a fabulous island 4th of July. Lots of fishing, kalua pork, fish dinners & fun! Hope to be back. Thanks Audrey for the fishing tips to our fisherman. Wonderful Thanksgiving in Kapoho. We all enjoyed the break from Maui's paradise to majestic Kapoho. Beautiful house with ocean view, large yard for the kids to play, and of course the simmering ponds and turtles. Truly Hawaii's last uncelebrated secret. Mahalo, The Kuwahara's
