This luxury chalet in a bright, sunny position offers 4 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (1 en suite). Built in 2003, it is rated 4*+ Luxury by the local Tourist Board. No need to hire a car for this chalet. Trains from the airport drop you just 5 minutes away. Free buses and trasin in town. The kitchen with every facility including latest cooker/microwave and hob, etc. Large fridge/freezer. Designer furnished, with Italian tiles, Danish paintings and fitted carpet throughout. Cozy bedrooms, with walls and ceilings in traditional pine. Cable TV, radio, CD, DVD + all washing facilities, including drier, iron, ironing board. Stunning views, just 5 mins walk from the nearest cable car. Access to over 350km of world-renowned ski slopes. Creche for the very young, + specialist children's ski school 5 minutes away. Babysitting may be possible too.
Klosters is justifiably world famous as a ski resort. Offering everything from beginners to black runs and huge off piste areas- no wonder Prince Charles goes there! The Ski Club of Great Britain has a rep there throughout the season. There are 5 different ski schools. But what makes Klosters so special is that it is still also a small traditional Swiss village with wooden chalets. Permanent population is just 3000. For non-skiers there are walks through glorious forests and trips to 18th century shopping towns such as Chur, and many traditional Swiss tearooms - so different from purpose built resorts!
In Summer there is a huge outdoor swimming pool, a sailing lake at Davos, walks/treks/and climbs. For children there are playgrounds, zoos, horse rides. This is Heidi Country with specially marked walks amongst the tiny villages. For adults, there is even a tour of the highest vineyard in Europe.

We have just returned from a great family holiday staying at Chalet Rhaetia. The chalet is of a very high standard and it was a pleasure to stay there. Location is great with great views across the valley to mountains (when clouds permit!!!), and trains! Ideal location with public transport working very well, especially with the 'guest cards' giving much of the local travel free of charge. Website was great for information and we did a number of the suggested walks and itineries. Mitzi too was really helpful when we arrived with plenty of local info. A week was definitely not long enough and we would hope to visit again before too long.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Spent a very enjoyable and warm week in Klosters Dorf in mid April towards the end of the ski season The Chalet is very well appointed and was very comfortable for the 2 families sharing it. The quality is typical Swiss. modern and has everything for an excellent skiing week , and the advice provided allows a fast start and trip to the slopes. The local contact was very helpful and could not be faulted. All the kids being complete I pods. phone etc fans were overjoyed to find free wifi. chalet is within walking distance of one lift and the bus stop is about 60m away with an 8 minute ride to the Gondola that leads to Parsenn For our stay travel was a bit inconvenient requiring most days for us to travel to Davos to catch lifts up the mountain as this season the snow was limited, but the resort had done a great job of keeping 2 areas open. The snow was excellently groomed and of course the slopes at this time were not busy. With the local cards provided as part of the kurtax you have access to all buses and trains so this does not cost, and during the high season clearly the transport is more frequent and the skiing allows runs down to Klosters. The chalet is pretty convenient for those arriving by train as Klosters Dorf station is only 400m walk and definitely Klosters is more scenic and Swiss than Davos. Despite having lived in CH for 3 years this was first time we had skied this area, and definitely plan to do some day trips next year For the warm afternoons the terrace is nice to sit out and enjoy the spectacular view. This seating could be perhaps more substantial : I suspect in winter you would not use it. We have stayed in several chalets and locations in Switzerland and I can recommend this as a lovely holiday location.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, families with young children, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We had a wonderful time in Mark's home. If you are looking for the perfect ski vacation base, particularly for a family or more than one couple, this is the place for you. It is a beautifully designed ski chalet. You walk into a ground floor complete with ski storage room, clothing racks that can easily accommodate 8 peoples' ski gear and a laundry room. There is a lovely kitchen where you can easily cook a delicious meal and a spacious living room and dining room and outdoor patio with spectacular views of the mountains, valley and town. The beds are very comfortable, especially after a long day of skiing. You step out the door and either walk to the Madrissa left or jump on the bus to easily access the other ski areas. Note to skiers: We found the ski options at Madrissa to be very limited and preferred to catch the bus to Klosters Platz, where you can catch the gondola to the Parsenn ski area. You can also easily catch the train to Jacobshorn. Mark's recommended ski rental shop was terrific. They had a good selection of high performance skis and happily switched them out to better accomodate our desires. Finally, the restaurant, Bargis Gasthaus, right next door, is cozy with friendly staff and good cordon blue and ravioli. The online description of the property was accurate. Mark was extremely responsive to e-mail and helpful. We have rented vacation homes and apartments in Argentina, Uruguay, Belize, France, Italy, Malta, England and the US, and this home offered among the best ratios of quality to money spent. From Grandpa Bob at 75 to the kids at 10, 12 and 14, everyone loved our vacation in this lovely home. We highly recommend it and we intend to return.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers.

A lovely chalet, with a homely feel to it, met the description given on the internet. We (children especially) enjoyed watching the train weave up the valley from the patio area, and it really was a short walk (achievable with small kids) to the station. Mitzi was very helpful, and the summertime tourist tax covers a transport pass for a huge range of cable cars. We found the broadband a bit tempermental. We would recommend this chalet. Stayed July 2010.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers.

The position of the chalet is just so convenient to trains & buses both for arrival & jaunting off to Klosters, Davos & Chur. Great skiing with the Madrisa just 5 mins from chalet & the slopes of Klosters & Davos a short train ride away. The property is particularly cosy even on the coldest day & as advertised 4 double rooms, 2 bathrooms with an extra toilet. Was clean & well maintained - a home away from home. Easy to cook "at home" meals especially if children are travelling with...(kitchen well stocked with equipment) & the Coop in Klosters is very handy to the train station. Klosters Dorf has only a few restaurants & the shops do not open Sat pm or Sunday - they also close from 12 noon till 2pm daily... I would certainly consider using the property again & would suggest it to my travelling friends. ShanRecommended for: Tourists without a car, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Modern chalet whic overlooks the valley and is very handy for public transport with bus and trains stopping less than 5 mins from the door. This means it is very easy to get around. Coupled with the local "guest card" a good deal of your transport, including several cable cars and swimming pools is free. Our kids (12 & 15) were happy to pop into town for a few hours giving us some peace and quiet. Good times indeed !Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers.

This chalet is superb! If you like trains, it's great - but not noisy, so you won't be disturbed by them if you're not interested. It's very convenient for the town, trains and lifts, and loads of superb walking all around. As a family, we would highly recommend this as a luxurious property to stay, for excellent walue, and a wonderful summer holiday. (Can't comment on winter as we haven't stayed there then, but can see great potential for skiing, if that's your thing!)Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
