Beautiful, secluded Baja Beach House in southern Baja desert, incredible location steps away from white sand beach on the Sea of Cortez. The house is on a sandy dirt road between El Cardonál and Punta Pescadero, about 30 minutes north of Los Barriles -- buy your supplies in town and head out to paradise!

The area is tranquil, remote and beautiful, This is not Cabo. There are no golf courses. No glitz. No nightclubs. This is "old Baja."

Two large bedrooms with lovely tile floors. Master bedroom has full ocean views, air conditioning, pivoting doors that open onto a spacious patio, and a queen-size bed. Second bedroom has partial ocean views, ceiling fans, queen-size bed plus day-bed with pop-up trundle bed, private entrance into back garden with hibiscus, oleander, bougainvillea, ficus and lemon trees. House sleeps six but is more comfortable with four. Fully furnished throughout in lovely artistic/aesthetic style. Perfect for family trip, romantic getaway, small group retreat or fishing vacation. Large open-air kitchen. Front patio facing the Sea of Cortez.

Very quiet. You can easily go a whole day and not hear anything but desert birds and the sound of the sea. The night sky is incredible--it makes you remember we live on a planet.

Mexican caretaker lives very close and will stop by to make sure you have everything you need. If you don’t fish but like to eat fish, she can arrange to bring you fresh fillets.   • Some of the best fishing in the world (we can help you arrange a boat), excellent snorkeling/diving right off the beach, white sand beach, great swimming and beachcombing, hike to ancient cave paintings, incredible plant and animal life, including wide variety of sea- and desert birds, house comes with sea kayaks; there are a few other houses nearby, but the house is not in a town. It's remote, quiet and incredibly relaxing; you can fish or kayak or swim, or just spend the day reading and relaxing. See our website (link below) for lots more info and pictures.

  • Full open-air kitchen, stocked with cookware and everything you need, all linens and towels provided, air-conditioning in master bedroom, fans and sea breeze cool the rest of the house, master bedroom has pivoting doors opening onto private patio. Leave the doors open and fall asleep to the sound of the waves, washing machine and solar-powered dryer (clothesline -- Baja sun takes care of the rest!). Full bathroom (shower only, no tub) plus cool outdoor shower for rinsing off from the beach, on large, very private lot, plenty of room to park your vehicles, ATVs, boat trailers, etc. Sheltered cove, excellent for putting in unless it's very windy. Sorry, no smoking. House has electricity and hot water but no phone, no TV, no internet.

  • My husband and I had a great stay this spring (first half of April). It was one of our best vacations ever. It was absolutely great to lie on the deck with some good books, watch the birds, do a little bit of snorkeling, take a nap and enjoy a nice meal in the great out-door kitchen. Also great star-gazing. What a beautiful house! I loved the way how the thatched roof blends into the surrounding, how everything is open and spacious. Very, very nice, down to the last detail. Very cool lamp shades in the bedroom. And there were so many birds! Saw lots of orioles (hooded and Scott's), the cactus wrens were building a nest in the tree outside the bedroom window. Also found the caracara's nest in a palm tree further up the arroyo. One day an osprey was eating a fish on a large cactus on the other side of the wash. Also lots of frigate birds, slightly sinister looking, but quite the fliers. A humming bird was another regular visitor. And many more. Mark (the owner)was very helpful. When I first read the description on this website I thought it was too good to be true. But it really turned out to be just the way it is described. We would love to come back.

  • Our family of five (three grown children) enjoyed our time at this quiet, isolated, and absolutely beautiful place immensely. Highlights were the kayaking out to see whales breaching, the exciting drive to town, the open kitchen, the wildlife in and out of the water, the perfect temperature night and day (our visit was in late March), walks in the desert, the night sky... We loved all of it.

  • My wife, father-in-law, and I had a great stay from Jan 7-18. It was the perfect trip for us, isolated in the way we were looking for. The night sky was amazing (17 satellite and 9 shooting stars in one night!) We spent the weekend in Los Cabos which was also great, but by far the highlite of our trip was the warm days and cool nights at Las Tinas Beach House. Highly recommended.
