Baddeck is a resort village on the shores of the world-renowned Bras d'Or Lakes on Cape Breton Island. The property is a great place to get away and forget about the world. Newly added 2nd full bathroom. Wireless internet has been added to allow for 24/7 connectedness- when YOU want it- and only IF you want it! Our family rental guidebook contains local information about restaurants, beaches, hiking trails and more.This farmhouse cottage is situated in the middle of a 15 acre hillside meadow and yet it is' just minutes' to the village of Baddeck, numerous golf courses, and exploring all that Cape Breton has to offer. It is a great place to use as ' home base' on the Cabot Trail-It is considered 'the beginning and the end' of one of the most scenic drives in North America.
There is a 4 bunk kids sleeping cottage on site for use- if requested, for an additional fee.
Nearby attractions; you have your own sun deck on the lake- a 5 minute walk from the house- shallow water"s edge- but good for kayaks and enjoying the summer lake views and sun! Bell Bay Golf Course is only five minutes by car, Also an easy 3 miles in Baddeck village-kayaking, boating and swimming and shopping. Trout and salmon fishing are one hour away (guides can by hired in Baddeck). Close to many fine beaches, trails for hiking,the Alexander Graham Bell Historic Site ,the Cabot Trail, Fort Louisburg and the Gaelic College.

A deposit of $500 is required when booking the rental. The deposit is held during your stay acting as a damage deposit. The funds are returned after the cottage is vacated, cleaned and found to be in good condition, usually within 7-10 days after your stay.
Funds to be paid prior to arrival in US or Canadian funds. The directions are emailed when balance is received.
