The town is situated just over one hour's drive west from Calgary and five minutes east of Banff National Park. Canmore came into its own after hosting the Nordic Events at the 1988 Calgary Olympics and since then the town has grown steadily and has attracted quality restaurants, bars, shops and galleries, making it a vibrant place to visit. Canmore is well known for winter sports, being located close to Banff and all the world-class, spectacular ski resorts within the area. As well as the boarding and skiing, you can find dog sledding, ice fishing, ice climbing and cross-country skiing all within Canmore or area. The kitchen features a breakfast bar and is fully appointed with dishwasher, electric washer and dryer, side-by-side fridge with ice maker and water cooler, waste disposal unit, electric oven/range, and microwave with hood fan. The living area is sumptuously furnished, with a large flat screen TV with satellite dish. The building also features heated underground parking and an elevator, as well as no-stairs easy access.
