I simply cannot say enough wonderful things about Dreamy Contentment! This is the second time that my husband and I stayed here. It is truly a romantically peaceful place to visit. The bungalows are nicely equipped and are VERY clean. The grounds are beautiful and we both loved lounging in the chairs under the umbrellas on the beach that were provided and set out each day for us. The property is extremely secure and we felt very comfortable and secluded. If you are looking for privacy and relaxation, Dreamy Contentment is the place to be! By the way, DC is centrally located…a short drive to Manual Antonio, near Uvita for the Whales…and Dominical is just around the corner.

Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Private beach paradise!

If you are looking for a secluded beautiful beach to get away from all the hustle and bustle and tourists THIS is the place to go!!! We absolutely loved our four days in Carmen's cabina, just a stone's throw from the beach. She was a great communicator, and her staff is helpful and friendly. Our daughters had a surf lesson with one of her staff and had a great time. I definitely recommend this place. We took a day trip to Manuel Antonio while staying here and were so glad to be able to come home to the peace and tranquility of Playa Matapolo after spending the day at the crazy busy tourist attraction.

Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Best Beach in CR

I can't recommend this place enough. We didn't find a more beautiful beach or a more relaxing atmosphere anywhere else in Costa Rica. Joe and Julie were great. I would (and will) come back.

Happy Canadians

I had always promised my family a Christmas vacation in Hawaii. But last year that changed and we also could not get the Chistmas period. After hearing about VRBO and choosing Costa Rica as the destination, I searched up and down and around and kept coming back to Dreamy Contentment, I contacted Carmen and started the process rolling. She warned me this was not a place where a lot of activitiy happened and that in fact it was kind of out of the way. As a family of 6 plus two inlaws, we decided this was still the place to go. And one other joined us. We chose right, Dreamy was exactly as described. Just off the beach, quiet, and well maintained. Every one of us from the 4 1/2 year old grandson to the 50+ year old adults have all stated we would go back in a heartbeat. Dreamy has a young couple managing the property and they were excellent. Always maintaining the property, giving us our space, making arrangements for us, and even being there when we needed them. They even sort of became like family to us while we were there. The sunsets were beautiful, the ocean was warm, and we spent many an hour just hanging around the beach. We had Toucans, Capuchins, Geckos, even a Green Vine Snake come by a couple times. The amount of pictures we took in and around the property amounted in the hundreds. Chasing the small crabs around on the beach was a blast for the grandson. Playing in the surf for him and his Grammy and Great Auntie was a blast. We took advantage of a local cook that was set up for us. She did a wonderful job cooking us meals as the local would eat. It was so good the first time we had her back twice more and would have her cook again anytime. The local housekeeper was extremely good as well. Sheets and towels were changed every three days, floors regulary cleaned. A young local helped in teaching us surfboarding and my one daughter had him give her extra tutoring the whole time. All this made for a Fantastic vacation for everyone of us. Carmen we thank-you for allowing us the use of the premises. You are to be applauded on a great location and having great locals to make this a vacation away from the everyday life we all have back at home. We hope you would have us back!! This was much better than an all-in-one inclusive resort, and beats any hotel anywhere. Everyone we met was friendly. We didn't get out much and tour around. But when we did, it had us realize we need to come back aain to see more.
