  First of all, for those who have not visited Rosemary Beach - do it. This was our first time, and we will be back. And when we do come back, I would want to stay at this house again! We had 2 couples and 5 kids - and we had room to spare. The house is georgeous - from the large gourmet kitchen to the wrap around balcony - we enjoyed every bit of it. The house is perfectly equipped with all cooking utensils, etc. Very close walk to the beach, and even closer for the pool. And the owner was a pleasure to work with - Gayle went above and beyond to make sure we knew everything about the house beforehand. We look forward to future stays.   We stayed at the Creole Plantation in April 2011. The weather was great and the home is well located within Rosemary. It is on the South side of 30A and is a couple houses from the playground and less than 50 yards from the pool. The beach and tennis courts were probably 75 yards from the house. The home was well appointed and had all of the kitchen gadgets you can think of. We rented the main house only and it had plenty of space. The porch was great. I would recommend contacting Gayle prior to making your Rosemary beach reservation.

  We first rented the Creole Cottage about nine or ten years ago, and we have been back five times since - three times at the cottage and twice at the Plantation (main house). Both the house and carriage house are impeccable, with the high-end features you'd expect in an upscale community like Rosemary Beach. Despite being very upscale, the "beach chic" decor makes one feel right at home. I might add that the owner recently redecorated, making the place feel even "newer" than it already did. The property is south of Highway 30-A, which is a plus for families with small children, and it's only a (very short) two minute walk to the beach. It's also quite close to the Coquina pool, which is our daughter's favorite among the four pools in town. Actually, it's pretty close to everything in Rosemary. In addition to the benefits listed above, we found the Plantation and Cottage to be a bargain, compared to some of the other properties you might rent through the R.B. rental agency.

  Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

  Our family stayed at the Creole Plantation for the last two years and we LOVE it. The location is perfect...gulf side, close to the Coquina Pool and playground. The house has incredible deck space, large enough for our children to use riding toys! The outdoor shower has hot water, which is great for kids! The house is always superclean and kept updated. The kitchen is amazing and has every conceivable item needed. (We have stayed in other places before and been unable to cook everything we wanted due to lack of cookware). The owner provides excellent directions and instructions for household items, including wireless internet use. I would definitely recommend this property. It is a hidden gem in Rosemary Beach.

  Our friends rented Creole Plantation 6 years ago and we were so jealous because our rental was a Motel 6 compared to the Creole. The next year we were able to stay here and have been back every year. We've seen a dozen homes that our friends have rented and none compare to the comfort, style, location and amenities that Creole offers. The owners have been wonderful. We had a minor problem with an appliance once and there was a repairman there in 30 minutes; on a Sunday night. The furnishings have been updated/upgraded nearly every year. We wouldn't stay anywhere else in Rosemary.

  After 10+ years of vacationing in Destin, my family has stayed six times in the last four years on the south side of 30-A in Rosemary Beach - twice in 2010 already! Rosemary is the best quiet family vacation spot on the Gulf Coast. We have rented a variety of houses through VRBO and the Rosemary Beach Cottage Rental Co. We have always searched hard for the best value on the S. Side of 30-A (not the cheapest, but the best house for the money). So far, the Creole Cottage has been the best value we have found in Rosemary. In the past, we have sometimes been disappointed with the maintenance of the properties we have rented in Rosemary. This is not the case with the Creole Cottage. It is very apparent that Gayle and her family take great pride in their beautiful home. The pictures above are out of date. The entire home appears to have been repainted recently inside and out. There is a brand new 50 inch plasma TV in the living room (no missing remotes or dead batteries!). The high-speed wireless internet worked seemlessly, which has never been the case with any house we've rented in Rosemary. The AC nearly froze us out the first night! The Creole Cottage is located in an ideal part of Rosemary - on the S. side near the best of the four community pools (IMHO) - the Coquina. For those of you like me who end up being the family "pack mule" lugging coolers, water toys, etc., you will really appreciate the convienent location of the house. Every day we would make multiple round trips between the beach, pool, playground, and house. Some evenings we walked to dinner at a nearby restaurant and the kids would ride their bikes/scooters. (Tip: Go early before 6:00 to Destin Chops 30-A or Paradis for half-price entrees). For those that like to cook like we do, the Creole Cottage has a professional grade kitchen and a new Weber Gas grill in the courtyard. One evening after dinner, we invited a couple of friends over for a drink and both couples commented how much more they liked the Creole Cottage than their rentals and they paid more than we did for the week. This really made us feel good about the house being a good value. I know everyone is worried about the gulf oil spill (we weren't effected at all), but there is so much to see and do along 30-A. Don't let it ruin your vacation plans on the Emerald Coast. Stay at the Creole Cottage. You won't be disappointed.
