Lae Nani's best location! On the quiet side of the resort, you will have a ground floor, corner unit with true 'unobstructed beachfront' (no swimming pool, or sidewalk, or other building between you and the water). And NO parking lot behind (see complex map).
This is not a business but like our island home, so there are lots of extras! your own washer/dryer, high speed internet, flat rate long distance. New bathrooms with granite counters, spacious living room with new furnishings, flat screen tvs, a kitchen that looks out over the dining room to the sea. At low tide the tide pool right outside is perfect for wading and watching fascinating sea life. We have excellent beds, twins in one bedroom and a king in the other.
Most of our guests return year after year because there is no location like our apartment. You won't believe our unique location--closest to the water of ANY apartment at Lae Nani. And nothing beats a ground floor location for convenience. You can take our lounge chairs right down to the beach, or enjoy mai tais on the lanai without any railings to obscure the view.

Corner ground floor unit closet to beach of any unit at Lae Nani. We have a perfect location for exploring Kauai (25 minutes north to Hanalei and 30 minutes south to Poipu). Right out front you can enjoy early morning walks along the ocean, and playing on our baby-friendly, child-friendly beach. Or our large pool with ocean view. You'll find privacy and peacefulness, yet a short walk to dining and recreation. This is not a normal business rental but our family home with many extras that we like to use when we visit.

Why the Owner Chose Lae Nani
We have written the Kauai Underground Guide since our first edition in 1980. Our location at Lae Nani 516 gives us a perfect base for exploring the whole island, from the spectacular North Shore (but we don't have to stay there when it rains) to the South Shore and West Side--all are an easy drive from our Lae Nani base. We usually head out in the mornings on our adventures, then relax and unwind in the afternoon on our own special beach. It's the perfect combination.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
Lae Nani 516 is closest to the water's edge of any unit in the complex. And right outside the door is a lovely sandy swimming beach, plus a unique tidepool which harbors wonderful sea life. You can walk on our small reef, and get lost in counting the fish! You can also walk a short distance to restaurants (great Mexican and sushi) without having to drive. Golf (the municipal course has won many awards) is a short drive, and some great parks for kids. The pool, unlike most complexes, is actually next to the ocean, with a great view!

We write the Kauai Underground Guide (250,000 copies in print since 1980), and have vacationed on Kauai with our 4 children for more than 20 years. We know the island well, and Lae Nani is truly special. Our (now grown) children all love to come to Kauai and to stay in this unique apartment, so close to the beach, and yet centrally located for exploring the island.

We had a wonderful time staying at Lae Nani. Your place is quite perfect. The location, both within Lae Nani, and on the whole of Kauai, are excellent. I'm already thinking about coming back and staying there again sometime in the future.

We have visited Lae Nani condos several times and we love the condo complex. This condo (#516) is by far the best unit we have stayed in. It has the best location - ground floor, and closest to the beach (and furthest from the pool which can be noisey at times). Building 5 seems to be the best located building with direct frontal on the beach and perfect exposure for views, and this unit is definitely the best located unit in building 5. It has everything you could possibly need inside. We're coming back for sure.

This was by far the most amazing place we could have chosen to stay. So incredibly close to the water, so comfortable, so bright and open..... who could ask for more? The unit has all you could need - dvd player, ipod docking station, microwave, dishwasher, and one of the most comfortable kind size beds ever. It is ground floor so you can walk right out of your living room and onto the beach. Lae Nani is centrally located on the island -- we drove north and south and saw just about everything kauai has to offer. And, its walking distance to the best sushi you will ever eat (Kintaros).

This is a wonderful condo with an amazing view of the ocean right at your doorstep. Condo is warm and inviting with all of the amenities you need to feel at home. Great central location to both north and south side of the island, allowing one to enjoy all of the great excursions, eateries and beautiful beaches available to you.

I love this condo. It is located in the perfect place: great beach, great pool, and driving distance from both the north shore and the south side. It comes with everything you need: full kitchen (and blender for those afternoon cocktails), two bedrooms, dvd, comfy napping couch, and internet. It also is on the ground floor so you can walk out your living room and be in the ocean in a matter of seconds. There is a distinct family feel - not the sterile surroundings of a hotel. There are even loaner boogie boards and kids sand toys. You will love it here.

Hi Lenore, I just wanted to let you know that we did have a great time. The view from the condo was amazing. My mom just loved sitting on the lanai and watching the ocean. My Lae Nani (516) stay on Kauai was wonderful. The comfort and access to a lovely, private beach was just what I wanted. The apartments are centrally situated, the choice to go north or south and it's near the airport. Everything for a wonderful stay in Hawaii.
