Lae Nani's best location! On the quiet side of the resort, you will have a ground floor, corner unit with true 'unobstructed beachfront' (no swimming pool, or sidewalk, or other building between you and the water). And NO parking lot behind (see complex map).
This is not a business but like our island home, so there are lots of extras! your own washer/dryer, high speed internet, flat rate long distance. New bathrooms with granite counters, spacious living room with new furnishings, flat screen tvs, a kitchen that looks out over the dining room to the sea. At low tide the tide pool right outside is perfect for wading and watching fascinating sea life. We have excellent beds, twins in one bedroom and a king in the other.
Most of our guests return year after year because there is no location like our apartment. You won't believe our unique location--closest to the water of ANY apartment at Lae Nani. And nothing beats a ground floor location for convenience. You can take our lounge chairs right down to the beach, or enjoy mai tais on the lanai without any railings to obscure the view.

Why the Owner Chose Lae Nani
We have written the Kauai Underground Guide since our first edition in 1980. Our location at Lae Nani 516 gives us a perfect base for exploring the whole island, from the spectacular North Shore (but we don't have to stay there when it rains) to the South Shore and West Side--all are an easy drive from our Lae Nani base. We usually head out in the mornings on our adventures, then relax and unwind in the afternoon on our own special beach. It's the perfect combination.
The Unique Benefits at this Condominium
Lae Nani 516 is closest to the water's edge of any unit in the complex. And right outside the door is a lovely sandy swimming beach, plus a unique tidepool which harbors wonderful sea life. You can walk on our small reef, and get lost in counting the fish! You can also walk a short distance to restaurants (great Mexican and sushi) without having to drive. Golf (the municipal course has won many awards) is a short drive, and some great parks for kids. The pool, unlike most complexes, is actually next to the ocean, with a great view!

We write the Kauai Underground Guide (200,000 copies in print since 1980), and have vacationed on Kauai with our 4 children for more than 20 years. We know the island well, and Lae Nani is truly special. Our (now grown) children all love to come to Kauai and to stay in this unique apartment, so close to the beach, and yet centrally located for exploring the island.
