Within the charming, friendly, and compact town of Kimberley are several work-out facilities, DVD rental, all types of gift stores, above average restaurants (for a small town), grocery stores selling orchard-fresh fruits and vegetables, several churches, sporting goods stores, quaint pubs and a coffee house, a brand-new community lap-length swimming pool with steam room, and the famous vintage miniature Kimberley train which chugs up and down the ski hill during summer months. There is a depot within walking distance from Three Bears.
In addition to the Trickle Creek Golf Course which is indescribably beautiful and fun to play (just outside your front door), the pine tree lined Kimberley City Course, or the riverside Bootleg Gap Courses are just minutes from Three Bears.
During the golden sunny days of summer, head out from your backyard on foot to hike the Kimberley Nature Park, Lois Creek Trails, or to road ride or downhill bike the ski hill. It is also possible to drive only a very short distance in order to enjoy water skiing, boat rentals, kayaking, canoeing, river rafting, tent camping, rock climbing, gold panning, horseback riding, swimming at sandy beaches in Columbia Valley lakes or in pristine emerald colored alpine lakes. Additional activity ideas nearby may include hiking verdant forests, mountain biking, and fishing. The resident Kimberley deer lend a distinctly wild flavor to the surroundings.
Winter brings a further array of fresh-air sports options, including the option to night ski on lighted nordic tracks or cross-country ski through thousands of hectares of wooded heaven in the Kimberley Nature Park, skiing or snowboarding down the graceful runs and broad glades of the uncrowded Kimberley Alpine Resort, ice skating, dog sledding, sleigh rides, snow-shoe adventures, heli-skiing, and snowmobiling.
Kimberley is the sunniest city in British Columbia. Summer temperatures can reach over 30 degrees celcius with cool comfortable evenings. In the winter, many days of powder skiing may be highlighted with golden sunshine.

- Twin/Single Bed (2) : The third bedroom has two twin beds which can be made up as a 3rd king bed, with memory foam toppers, down duvets, and luxury linens.

- Cable/Satellite TV: Each bedroom has a flat panel LCD television with DVD. The master bedroom has a 27 inch flat panel TV with DVD. The lower 2nd king master has a 42 inch flat panel TV with DVD. The twin bedroom has a DVD and flat panel TV. The Great Room has a 42 inch plasma flat panel television with PVR digital cable box, MacMini computer, iPod dock, Surround Sound Stereo, Library of iTunes and iMovies!

- Shared Pool: The city of Kimberley has just launched (12/06) a brand new aquatic center. Admission fees are very reasonable - between $5-10 per person with punch cards available. It is a heated lap pool with children's play area, steam room, lockers, whirlpool, showers.

- Full Kitchen: We are especially proud of how lavishly equipped the kitchen is. Everything you could think of for haute cuisine preparation, or family meals, is stocked. Thermal carafe coffee maker, coffee grinder, juicer, rice cooker, mixer, blender, mandolin, toaster, toaster oven, food chopper, bake-ware, roasting pan, stock pot, electric griddle pan,assorted good quality pots and pans including larger stock pots, double pot and pan set, salad spinner, white wine, red wine, pilsners, champagne flutes, and many other useful supplies are provided. Guests have remarked that this is the best equipped kitchen in a vacation home they have ever experienced.

- Golf Course Front: The Tall Pines Development is set directly on the Trickle Creek Golf Course. Walk out the front door to the clubhouse. During winter the course becomes a wonderful course for nordic skiing and snow-shoeing.
- Golf Course View: 3 Bears at Tall Pines is immediately adjacent to the renowned Trickle Creek Golf Course, one of Canada's best. Walk to the club house down the 16th fairway - just steps from your front door.

- Telephone: A phone is provided in each room. The Great Room has a phone and an answering machine with a fax.
- Free Long Distance: There is a complimentary no-charge long distance North American calling plan provided as a convenience for our guests.
- Computer: A Mac desktop computer is set up in the Great Room. Guests may use this to access the internet.
- Broadband Internet: A wireless router makes it easy to surf the web or send email from the hot tub or while roasting your toes over the backyard campfire pit. An ethernet cable is provided for those who do not have wireless cards provided in their portable computer.

- Located on the Kimberley Alpine Resort ski hill, the lifts are viewable from 3 Bears! Access to legendary Canadian powder snow is just a few blocks away. You may be able to ski in/ski out depending on snow fall. From your front door head out to cover dozens of miles of groomed and cross-country nordic skiing and snow-shoeing. Ice skating is offered at the ski hill base village and in downtown Kimberley. There may be heli-skiing, snow-mobiling, dog sledding, and sleigh rides depending onthe season. During the summer, ride then antique miniature train from downtown Kimberley up to the base village, which is located within walking distance of 3 Bears. Countless options are available nearby to swim in pristine warm mountain lakes, sun bathe on fresh water "beaches", camp by free flowing rivers in remote locations, hike vast amounts of wilderness, and enjoy terrific road and mountain biking.
