This villa comes with beach gear (check out our video) and cleaning! Tired of climbing stairs? This lower unit is easily accessible and the lower height is more toddler friendly. Our villa also includes cable TV and roadrunner internet (if you're trying to keep up with your email).
Hey, you've got enough to pack. You know....those sandy beach chairs, sticky boogie boards and half sprung umbrellas? Leave them at home! We provide beach chairs, beach umbrellas, a beach cart, a grill and a cooler. You actually have room in the SUV for the kids and grandma.
Inside this luxury unit is beautifully furnished with an island décor, comfortable beds and a fully equipped kitchen. We tried to create an inviting island haven while still maintaining functionality. So....sometimes we opted for room appeal over just adding extra bedding. Hopefully you can get a feel of this from our pictures and video.
As mentioned, our villa is on the lowermost level (one above the parking level) so there aren’t a lot of stairs to climb. The elevator (great for check-in) is always available but it seems the stairs get more daily use. There's an outside shower to hose down those sand covered creatures you had to drag off the beach. Plus you have full access to the storage room on the parking level (where the beach gear is).
To the beach is easy, we're one of the closer villas to the beach. The three minute walk (you can see the surf from the front porch) places you at a beautiful section of OIB that is currently undeveloped (see the video/picture of the beach). Also, a four minute walk has you at the beach club facilities, including a beautiful ocean front pool/Jacuzzi as well as the Tiki bar and restaurant. There also is beach access at the pool and you have full use of the parking facilities, if you want to drop kids/gear off.
In the evening, enjoy the lagoon view from the deck swing. There are some incredible sunsets at OIB, primarily, because it's more of an east/west beach. The lit fountain in the lagoon is relaxing to see/hear at night. During the day, the little ones enjoy watching the lagoon turtles sunning themselves.
Want to catch up on your golf or tennis? As you probably already know, there are a lot of premiere golf courses in the area. The tennis courts are on site, part of the Islander Resort.
As far as sleeping goes, the villa accommodates 8 in beds (King, King, Queen, 2 Singles) and one additional person in a rollaway.
A little more about the beach front pool, baby pool, Jucazzi, restaurant and Tiki bar. It's a large sized pool with lots of deck space and lounge chairs. It overlooks the surf so you can kinda get the best of both worlds from there. Plus, there's beach access on both sides of the pool. This area is only available to owners and guests (like you!) of the Islander resort. There is a big parking lot that you are free to use. So....it can be a great drop off point for kids and beach gear for both the pool and the beach.
Do you miss the hub-bub of Myrtle Beach? We don't particularly. But, if you do, it's just a 45 minute drive and you can have all the shopping, restaurants, traffic and attractions that you want. Speaking of restaurants, there are lots of good ones on and off the island. We will be glad to share our favorites with you (we've been going to OIB for the last twenty five years!).
Ocean Isle Beach is a great family beach. It is wonderful for long beach walks, beautiful sunsets, great ocean swimming and fishing and some great family memories.

We chose to stay at this condo in the off-season and enjoyed the peace and quiet of its lovely surroundings.The condo is immaculate, comfortable, beautifully furnished and equipped for all our needs. We were close to the beach where we savored long walks. And it's very near to groceries, video rentals and much more. We enjoyed a day trip down Rt.17 to the historic city of Georgetown, SC. Sitting in the porch swing, watching water and lights reflect on the small waterway alongside the condo, was restful and caused us to slow down. A great get-away for all ages!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, people with disabilities, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

This condo is extremely clean, beautifully decorated and very well maintained. Four large bedrooms and four full bathrooms make it a perfect fit for a large group. It has a fully furnished kitchen, with all that you could need to cook your meals. Sand toys, buckets, chairs, etc. are available to carry across the street on the very short walk to the beach. When you return, wash your sandy clothes in the washer and dryer right there in the condo. We truly enjoyed our stay, plan to return again in the future and would highly recommend it to a friend.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, girls getaway.

We thoroughly enjoyed the condo, the beach gear and all the child friendly accessories. The beach was absolutely beautiful and we loved playing in it. We enjoyed our second stay at the condo; the first being last year. We loved the beach and seeing our friends. A trip to the Fort Fisher Aquarium was rewarded with a nice dive show and the ferry ride was fun too. We saw hundreds of pelicans on one of the small "islands" or sand bars along the way and many flew alongside the ferry. We loved the hammock chair swing and the girls enjoyed watching the turtles and relaxing in the swing. Joe and Barb, Another wonderful vacation at your lovely home. The layout is perfect for our parents with all being on one floor yet each area is great for privacy as well. We love sitting in the swing and watching the ducks and turtles. It is so nice to not have to bring beach stuff and you think of everything. Hope to return very soon. We loved staying in Ocean Isle Beach. The house was exactly as we expected and more. The kids enjoyed collecting shells and boogey boarding. And we loved that everything that we needed for the beach was already there. We loved our week at the beach!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers.

this was our second time enjoying this villa at oib. it was perfect! our party included 9 from ages, 5 to 61 and a wonderful time was had by all. 4 private bedrooms and baths present all the privacy, that you could need and want, but the rest of the condo has an open floor plan that allows for everyone to enjoy eating, playing cards, bingo, movies, and popcorn. the beach is steps away, and the condo offers beach toys and equipment to use so you dont have to pack as much (yes) !!! we had a wonderful time relaxing on the porch swing and going down to feed the turtles in the lagoon. i cant think of a better vacation than oib. the pool, beach, and condo make for a paradise found.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, girls getaway.

Wow, yes we had a great week. Your place is wonderful and we couldn't have asked for a better place to spend a week with our family. You have really put together a rental that meets all the needs of anyone staying there and I truly appreciate it. We stayed here for a week starting June 16, 2012 and were traveling with 4 adults and 4 kids between 2 and 8 years old. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Everything we needed from kitchen tools to beach gear was available to us. Beach access is right across the road and the pool and additional beach access is just a short walk down the street. All of the beach gear was in good condition and saved us a ton of room in the car. There is probably 6-8 beach chairs, noodles for the pool, boogie boards, umbrellas, a small grill, and buckets/shovels for the kids. Truly, if you stay here you can leave most of your beach gear at home. The condo itself was beautfiul, in great condition, very clean and easily accessible for all of us being on the first floor of the building. Wireless internet worked perfectly and Joe's instructions for our arrival, departure and access to the technology were spot on. About the owner: Our family has been going to Ocean Isle Beach for over 25 years. This beach is almost entirely residential and the pace is quite a bit slower than Myrtle Beach. We love the ocean and find ourselves there several times a year. Ocean Isle is a great place for R&R during any season. The fall provides warm weather but no crowds. The winter has an allure all its own. It's a fun place to spend holidays. Spring brings warmer temperatures and, of course, those lazy summer beach days.
Why the Owner Chose Ocean Isle Beach:
When the Islander Resort was built, we decided to buy one of the new villas. We loved the floor plan of these condo's and had a great time decorating it. While functionality is always important at the beach, we actually focused more on eye appeal for the rooms. We picked an island theme, got a good deal on some Braxton Culler furniture and hit the flea markets and department stores.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
For us the beach is a great place to relax. We love those long beach walks or just swinging on the back porch listening to the fountain in the lagoon. We don't play golf but there is a lot of great golfing in the area. Also, lots of opportunities for surf or pier fishing or boating in the Atlantic or intercostal waterway. You really have a lot of recreational and relaxation options.
The large beachfront pool is fantastic. Lots of lounge chairs and deck space. A large swimming area and hot tub. Beach access from either side of the pool. Not to mention the great restaurant.
One of the best Carolina beach rentals available.
