Enjoy this North Coast home overlooking Pebble Beach. The gorgeous views of the Northern California coast draw you to the windows of the home, which is a convenient base for your visit to the rugged north coast. Whales are frequently spotted during their migration from the dining room, living room, kitchen and day room.
Enjoy birding, whale and seal watching and beach combing. Just a short walk (one block north) takes you to the beach to walk on the sand or to the tide pools at low tide. One mile takes you downtown, or to the harbor. One mile north is Point St. George, which can be reached by car or by walking up the beach. From Pt. St. George there are many hiking options to choose from - on the beach, through the dunes, or by a few small inland lakes.
Redwood National Park, Jedediah Smith State Park, Mill Creek State Park and Prairie Creek State Park are all within a 30-45 minute drive. Within 30 minutes is the Smith River (one of the last “Wild Rivers”) famous for Steel Head fishing. Lake Earl State Wildlife Preserve is a short 10-minute drive from the home.
Our 1950s home is redwood throughout. Double pane windows prevent the home from having that damp smell found in many coastal homes. The kitchen and bathroom have been remodeled and provide modern convenience. The living room is open to the dining room with all windows overlooking the ocean. You can enjoy the beauty of the ocean while curling up with a good book in front of the wood burning fireplace and dry wood is provided! Games and puzzles are available or you may choose to watch our new 42” HD TV with DISH instead.
Children are welcome and there is a fenced backyard for playing. The backyard also has ample room for off street parking of fishing boats, RVs or your car.
No smoking in home. |
