We recently rented this home Christmas week, Dec 22-29, 2007. This home is very cabin like inside with a lot of wood walls. It is very spacious for large families or groups, and once you get the woodstove burning, it's sooo cozy and warm!! The extra's that the homeowner provides are outstanding!! From those bits of spices that you may need to paper products and shampoo samples, they have it all, even laundry soap!! We had a great time here and would definately recommend it to anybody!!

We rented this home with another family (total:4 adults, 5 kids). We enjoyed the proximity to town and story land. We expected to be able to walk to swimming on the saco river and couldnt find access withing walking distance. We drove there and to echo lake, which was great. We BBQ and loved making smores by campfire at night in the back. Good backyard for kids to play but home is on a main road, nothing is in walking distance. The enclosed porch was fantastic, we ate all our meals out there. Our main problem was that pool table and kitchen were very close to the bedroom that did not have a full wall,so it was very noisy for whoever used that room. The loft was fun for the kids to play in, but supervision was needed with the ladder and small children.
Recommended for:Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Our group had a great time and the sleeping quarters were big enough. The rental price was great as we are all families and it was a family friendly price. This helped when the kids wanted to ski all day and tube at night. It was easy to get to the slopes and nothing was more than an hour away. easy to get to King Pine and Cranmore and 55 minutes to Bretton Woods. Roomy enough for the kids to play out of the way of the adults. We could have used a bigger kitchen table but the kids ate and then the adults. My only concern was the ladder to the loft as it was not children friendly and we had ato put a set of parents there rather than 2 children. It was also nice to see some board games available too!! Our group loves board games. Would reccomend for summer or winter vacations. Terri

We enjoyed our long ski weekend at this open-concept house. Kitchen, living, and some loft space all connected, 3 other bedrooms more private. One loft has a ladder access that can be tricky. House does require more than usual maintenance as part of deal - carrying firewood, cleaning, laundry. Clean, well-maintained. Very cozy feel indoors, plenty of parking. A few miles out of town towards Maine on 302. We would go back.
