We were two sisters celebrating a 65th birthday and spent 5 nights at the condo. The Ilikai is a lovely older condo/hotel with character- next to the Hilton. This unit has a wonderful view of the harbor and the Ala Moano beautiful beach. Sitting on the large lanai was great - both at night and in the morning. Although small, the walled off bedroom allows some seperation and it is much better than two beds in one room . Being a 5'11" woman, I was surprised that I slept comfortably on the sofa sleeper. The unit was very clean. and functional - and the pictures are accurate. Being up high added to the view & it was very quite - even sitting on the lanai. There are a number of full time residents who are very friendly and helpful. Only complaints -- The dishwasher was broken, but there were only two of us and there is a dish drainer. The dishes and pots and pans were better than many places - although there was nothing left behind by previous renters in the kitchen. We had to buy dishwashing soap and salt and pepper which usually condos have, but some people probably prefer not having other peoples' used condiments. The beach and the lagoon are just down the ramp by the swimming pool and a half block walk next to the fence by the lagoon. All Hawaii beaches are public -- including the lagoon. If you are a walker and shopper, the big shopping center is close by ...but better you can walk all the way to the end of the Waikiki beach. Lifeguards and better swimming at the other end of Waikiki - but this end is more peaceful... The swimming pool is great - especially early in the morning when it is reserved for adult swim. Friday nights you can see the Hilton fireworks from the back of the Ilikai .. and Friday nights they have their own Hawaiian entertainment. I would recommend renting a car for a day at at time to explore the island - but in Honolulu take tours or the bus ($1.00 for 65 and older) or walk. Parking is expensive...$25 a day valet at the Ilikai. May some free parking somewhere by the canal - but not sure where. Parking meeters are no longer 25 cents an hour - more like $1.50 & up depending on the area - and there are also time restrictions. During the week, you can park in the Diamond Parking lots at the Marina for $12 for 24 hours or $6 for 10 hours - but on weekends the price is $1.00 an hour. It was a nice place with a great location -- especially for the reasonable price. Thanks for sharing your condo!

We had a wonderful, restful week at this condo. The photos are accurate and the condo is very clean and well maintained. Fumee was such a wonderful help to us, too; she gave us great suggestions and ideas! We loved being right next door to the Hilton Hawaiian Village and their amenities, as well as the closeness to the Ala Moana Shopping Center for groceries at Foodland. Downtown Waikiki and all its shops is an easy walk as well. No need to rent a car! We will definitely stay here again and recommend it to others!

Ilikai condo is conveniently located quite near the Ala Moana Shopping Centre and only a 15 minute walk to the action in Waikiki. There is a spectacular view from the Lanai of the Ilikai Marina and Honolulu. Apartment offers good kitchen facilities for self catering.

We spent 5 nights here in Nov 2010 a week before thanksgiving. The condo is as advertised, this is one of the few condos which has a partition between the bedroom and living room, all other units are actually studio. The view from the condo is of the harbor not the lagoon (as shown in the picture(s)). We spent hours in lanai watching sun set, moon set and rainbows over honolulu. The hotel itself is located near the beach and numerous restaurants in the hotels nearby making it a perfect place to stay. We will definitely come back here again. One thing to watch here (and I noticed similar in another hotel we stayed) as well is the width between the lanai's railing's slats is wide (not sure what the legal limit is) and this might be an issue for people with infants or toddlers (like us, we had to watch our son when he was in the lanai and close the lanai door when we weren't able to keep an eye on him).

We had a great stay at the Ilikai condo. It provided all the conveniences of home but also included a great view. We stayed at the condo for about a week. It was about a 10-15min walk to the busy portion of Waikiki where the majority of the shops and restaurants are located. There were no surprises and the condo was the same as advertised down to the huge lanai and great sunset views. When we visit Waikiki again we will be staying at the same condo.

Highly Recommend!!! Beautiful Ocean View. Perfect for families traveling with children. The decore was modern and very clean, however the bedroom matress was extra firm & uncomfortable. Recommend replacing or adding a foam top matress for additional comfort. Owner was very easy and pleasant to deal with. Thank you!!! ?

I highly recommend this condo. It was clean and beautiful with quality updates such as granite countertops. It had a great view and was in a central location, yet quiet. I appreciated the very prompt refund of my deposit. I only wish that I could be back there right now, sitting on the lanai =) We had no problems or issues and found everything exactly how it was described. We really enjoyed the beach and had a wonderful stay.

We spent 7 nights in this great condo in July 2010. In this building it was one of the few condo's that had an actual separate bedroom (2 pocket doors) instead of a studio layout. Brand New washer and dryer on the same floor. The condo and views were exactly as they were shown in the pictures. Fumee responded immediately to all of our questions prior to our arrival. We had a fully equipped kitchen and all the decor was modern and it was recently remodeled. It was a close walk to the beach in front of the Hilton Property. We would definitely stay again if we came back to Oahu.

My wife and I return "Home" to Hawaii with our son every year to visit family. We like our privacy so we usually get our own place instead of staying with relatives since we live in LA now. This is what the bulk of our vacation budget is spent on...but not now! This was the first time we stayed at a vacation rental instead of a hotel or resort. Fumee's unit is perfect for us! We had our own kitchen so we saved by not eating out every night. We watched beautiful sunsets every evening from the lanai. Cool A/C during the day kept us comfortable if we wanted to nap. The Hilton Hawaiian lagoon and beach ar right next to the Ilikai building. There is so much to do in that area , we stayed for 11 days and didnt get tired of being there at all. Trust me...you are not gonna find a better deal than Fumee's condo in Hawaii. We spent half of what we usually spend on accommodations on our past trips to Hawaii, and thats with a Kama'aina discount. I just hope not too many people find this gem so It won't be booked when we want to retuen.

This is the second time we've used VRBO for a vacation in Hawaii and our recent stay at Fumee's condo didn't disappoint. The condo was great and had an impressive view that made for many awesome sunsets. It was close to everything so we kind of regret getting a rental car during our stay. It was almost a waste of money since virtually everything you could want to do was within walking distance. Thanks again for allowing us to stay in your condo. It was an excellent buy for the money we paid.

I had the pleasure of staying at this suite in the Ilikai Dec 2-8/09. It is conveniently located at the start of Waikiki beach and a 5 minute walk to Ala Moana Mall. There is construction going on in the next building, but this suite is on the 20th floor so the noise isn't much of a problem. Being on the 20th floor also provides for spectacular views. The suite is very modern, well furnished and clean. This was my first experience with VRBO and hence I was very skeptical but Fumee made this a wonderful experience. She answered all my questions promptly and provided very accurate and up-to-date pictures of the suite. I was very hesitant to provide a photocopy of my IDs and credit card thus reluctantly chose to pay the higher security deposit instead, which Fumee returned promptly upon our departure. Mahalo Fumee for making this a wonderful vacation and a great experience. Look forward to returning to your place again in the future.

Fantastic place, right on the Waikiki beach. We saw a rainbow over the marina that it overlooks and it was like something out of a movie. The place has a modern look and is so smartly designed to maximize space. My family and I enjoyed it very much and would highly recommend it to anyone staying in Waikiki. Thanks Charles!

Great condo, and great view of the sunset! Beach is just a stone's throw away (although the nicer beaches are a bit further down), and if you have kids, there's a great lagoon for them to play in right next door. Fumee was very helpful, and this condo made our stay very pleasurable. Thanks!

Thanks Fumee for providing a very convenient and comfortable unit, with a great view. The weather during our two weeks in April was very mild, meaning every breakfast and Dinner that we ate "in" was at the table on the comfortable lanai. What could be better? Just a hint for those that may be a clueless as I was, the security code that Fumee refers to is for a shiny brass keypad on the door. There is a small icon- key of an open padlock on the lower left that you press after the code. I may have figured it out if I were wearing my glasses! aloha until next time!

We spent two wonderful weeks at this very lovely condo. The view is spectacular, the unit very comfortable, and the amenities updated. Location is excellent with many nice rstaurants and shopping facilities nearby. Central Waikiki is about a 10 minute walk and the beach is but a 5 minute walk away. Fumee is very attentive to your wants and needs to ensure that you have as near perfect a stay as is possible. We highly recommend a stay at Fumee's place.

The condo was very clean and well-stocked. Photos provided by owner were accurate. The condo's location is very good with a nice view. There was some construction going on both next door and in the apartment above, but the noise wasn't too bad. Fumee was excellent about responding to questions and returned the security deposit promptly after our departure. This is a great, cost-effective option for staying in Honolulu and an excellent option within the Ilikai.

We had a wonderful stay in this apartment. We were tossing up whether to stay here or at a Hotel near Diamond Bay and after my first 6am run, I was so relieved that we had chosen this location as the other end of the beach was streaming with people, even at 6.30am ! It is located next to the Hilton so we had the choice of the Ilikai pool downstairs or the lagoon or beach which were a few steps further. This end of the beach was quiet and away from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki...bliss ! Ala Moana Center was only a 10 min walk away and it had everything that one would need, in fact, you could spend the entire day there...it's huge. Our family had a comfortable and relaxing stay and we will definately be visiting again. Thankyou Fumee !

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful condo this summer. It is nicely renovated/decorated and met/exceeded our needs. We were able to walk down to the strip for meals and to the beach. It is probably a mile walk, but we enjoyed the exercise. The Ilikai hotel was undergoing major renovations during our stay. It would have been nice if the resturant/bar were open but there are plenty of other places close.

Stayed at this condo for one week ending March 13/08. We have enjoyed many properties in Hawaii. Fumee's condo has been one of our best experiences. Good value for Waikiki. Spacious, clean, modern, well appointed & decorated. Good location next to the Hilton at the end of Waikiki beach, which is arguably the nicest. Easy walk to Ala Moana mall. Free parking at the marina behind (saved us many $$). Great sunset views from the 20th floor lanai looking west towards Pearl Harbour. Recommend.

We have just returned from the most wonderful vacation at this condo. The place is absolutely beautiful, all updated and very spacious as well as private. The views from the balcony are just awesome - the best!! Each evening we relaxed and had our cocktail hour on the balcony while watching the magnificent Hawaiian sunset. As an added bonus, we were serenaded at sunset by a terrific french horn player who seemed to live in the condo building - it was romantic. Life cannot get any better than that! We would definitely stay here again.

Our stay in the condo was great! The view is tremendous, accessibility to many locations on foot is simple, and the condo itself is quite comfortable and attractively appointed. My spouse and our toddler were very pleased with our decision to stay here, and would recommend it to any of our friends. The owner was prompt with responses to all questions...and even told us the color and brand of the paint that was used on the walls, when I inquired. The combination of location, comfort and responsiveness made our stay there one that we would certainly repeat.
