Esperanza is a new addition to Akumal's residential community. Conveniently located, Esperanza offers a quiet and peaceful setting, just steps away from Akumal Bay and central Akumal. Akumal Bay is the primary gathering spot, where you can enjoy the sugar white beaches and pristine waters of the Caribbean Sea. In central Akumal, you will find restaurants, grocery stores, boutiques, dive centers and more. Both Akumal Bay and central Akumal are a short, 3 minute walk from Esperanza.
Pride of ownership is evident throughout this hacienda style home. Talavera tile counter tops and red terra-cotta floors complement tropical hardwood doors and windows. There are two spacious bedrooms, each with a king size bed and full bath. The bedrooms are separated from the living quarters and all open to an arched terrace and swimming pool, surrounded by a beautiful garden.
The villa has a lovely living room, but most guests spend their time relaxing on the large, covered, outdoor terrace. This private setting offers a comfortable conversation area, as well as a separate dining area, inviting guests to linger from sunrise to sunset. The patio wraps around the swimming pool, where resort quality lounge chairs are situated.
The kitchen is a gourmet cook's delight. Large and spacious, it is fully equipped to make your stay more comfortable. Just off the living room, is a small terrace that is shaded in the morning, making a perfect place to enjoy your first cup of coffee. A separate study, detached from the main living area, provides a cozy retreat with a futon for an additional overnight guest. All rooms in the villa are air conditioned.
Esperanza offers the modern conveniences of home, with the charm of colonial Mexico, all in the idyllic setting of Akumal. Once you come visit, you will not want to leave. Once you leave, you are bound to return.

Enjoyed a lovely week at Esperanza in Feb 2010 with our college age sons & their friends. Excellent location. Great restaurants & beach 5 min away. As beautiful as the photos! Cooked several wonderful meals in the comfortable kitchen. Highly recommended.

The quiet, sleepy village of Akumal is a wonderful place to relax, enjoy the sun, ocean - Peace! Esperanza is so homey. I found myself comfortable just being here - no need to be elsewhere. Great day trips included Valladolid (an inland city) where shopping is plentiful. Found a fabulous leather shoe store where they were actually making the shoes in the back room. Had dinner at a wonderful restuarant. Oh, and the ruins - right outside Valladolid is an exquisite, well-kept secret - Ek Balam - few tourists and beautiful Mayan architecture. Tulum was also great. I'll definitely return for a relaxing vacation soon and for a longer time!

Akumal, Mexico is wonderful! The atmosphere here is very cozy and welcoming. Esperanza is conveniently located and has made our stay here even better. Esperanza is perfect in every way...meeting my every need. I enjoyed all the fun activities we did, whether it be snorkeling, lounging by Esperanza's pool, sight-seeing at the Maya ruins, or sun-bathing by the ocean. My stay here will be unforgetable and has created many memories. I hope to come back to Esperanza in the near future.!

This was a fabulous place for a family vacation. We all had a wonderful time. What a great location for...walks on the beach, visiting ruins in Tulum and Coba, shopping in Playa, snorkeling in the lagoon, seeing the show at Xcaret and swimming with the dolphins. We also enjoyed swimming and relaxing by the pool. Esperanza is so comfortable and beautifully decorated! Hope to return soon!
