The cabin was exactly as described and pictured, and very clean and well maintained. I highly recommend this cabin for families traveling with preschool age children. Our children loved the toys and movies in the loft area, and enjoyed playing air hockey and riding the roller coaster in the basement. It was easily accessible via a narrow dirt road just off a main highway. It was very private, but not in a remote area. It was convenient having a grocery store nearby, and Boone and Blowing Rock 20-25 minutes away. It was also nice being so close to the BRP. We look forward to future stays at this cabin!

Thanks for letting us stay at your mountain house. We found the home to be cozy and warm. The two large master suites were very nice and the king beds in both were very comfortable. I usually don't sleep well when out of town, but the bed was so comfortable I slept great! I loved all the big windows in the house. I couldn't resist opening some of them and letting the fresh air in. This home is very private and in a quiet location with great views. I hope to plan another stay in the spring. The whole expereince was great.Dealing with the owner was easy and when we got to the cabin all of our expectations were met and then some.The views were amazing and the game room donstair was a highlight for the whole family.We would definitely stay there again

The property was just as described. Very Very kid friendly. There was more than enough to keep the kids occupied so that we could enjoy a good movie downstairs by the fire place. The view off the back deck was breath taking. Lee Ann made the overall arangements for our stay very easy. i would definetly recommend this property to anyone with children. We will definetly return here on our next mountain vacation!

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. We recommend it to anyone traveling to the area. We moved here after staying at their other cabin because Overlook was booked for the rest of the trip. The good news is that we were able to stay at two wonderful cabins. When we arrived, we instantly noticed how clean the cabin was. No dust, perfectly made beds, silverware lined up, toys organized. We could tell that the owners and cleaning people really care about the cabin's appearance and take care of the items. The towels and linens were high quality - not your typical hotel towels. It was wonderful to arrive late night and to have everything completely ready for us. We were ready to relax and unwind and the cabin's ambiance was the perfect greeting. The toys are so much fun! The owners have board games, dolls, Thomas the train, books...everything you could imagine. Plus electronics (karaoke and XBox, movie collection). I feel like they made it easy on me since I am the one who packs for the children. Thank you! Cabin is spacious, a beautiful afternoon view. The sunlight keeps the cabin cheery. The neighborhood is quiet and very calming. We walked the roads and trails every day. Thank you for the escape. I cannot tell you how much it meant to us. We really needed this getaway as a family trying to reconnect after all of the hustle and bustle. We look forward to coming back soon. We feel like we were very spoiled and the cabin's rates are more than reasonable. See you soon.

We enjoyed our visit over the holidays! Thank you to Lee Ann for helping us plan our trip. She even checked on our roads with all of the snow to make sure that the neighborhood had scraped for our arrival! Parkway's Edge is so much fun! We enjoyed our comfortable stay in this cabin! The bedding and towels were top of the line. The furniture was tasteful and new and really completed the luxurious feel of the cabin. These owners did everything in terms of decorating and providing extra luxury items for guests. Even handmade soaps and coffee mugs from Seagrove! We loved all of the artwork, books, movies abundant at the cabin. Thank you for a great stay! It is the perfect cabin for us (my husband and myself) and our close friends (another couple). We cannot wait to visit again! We highly recommend this cabin to other couples and families!

Wonderful Cabin for two couples!

We stayed at A Parkway's Edge in November and had an wonderful time! The house was perfect for two couples with two master bedrooms and private baths. The kitchen supplied all necessary items, as we cooked meals 3 nights of our stay with ease. All the amenities the cabin has to offer makes it a perfect vacation get away. No need to leave with a cabin and scenery so beautiful! Another great aspect of this cabin is the beautifully long driveway that gets takes you up the mountain...however, the driveway is right off the highway; perfect location! Privacy and convenience at its best! Grocery store is only a few miles away, and Boone is also very close. Overall, this was a relaxing vacation in a very nice cabin with a beautiful setting. We will definitely stay again!

Parkway's Edge is a beautiful, fully equipped cabin on the side of a mountain just a few miles from Boone. It was immaculately clean and contained just about anything one might need in a mountain get-away. We recommend it unequivically.

My husband and I just returned from a long weekend at the Parkway's Edge. What a wonderful place to stay! Even though it rained from the time we arrived until the time we left, with the clouds closing in all around us, there we so much to do at the cabin that it really didn't matter. We watched football, shot some hoops, played ping pong and just had time to relax and enjoy each other's company. No detail was overlooked, and we're already talking about our next trip to the cabin, when we just know the sun will be shining and we'll get to cook out on the grill and build a fire in the firepit and enjoy sitting out on the deck soaking in the view of the mountains in the distance. At least the rain didn't keep the deer away, and we got to watch them through the windows as they munched their way down the hill. Thank you so much for opening your home to us; we can't wait to come back!

wow, what an awesome stay we had in july. low humidity, cool nights and the cabin was perfect for us! we hated to leave! there was absolutely nothing we could have asked for at parkways edge, it was well stocked from the kitchen to the toys to the basement games (hours of fun!). thank you for making our vacation a relaxing and "at home" time.

The cabin is absolutely beautiful with lots of homey touches and mountain themed decor. We will definitely try to come back again. The games were a huge hit with the kids but they loved playing outside, too. We were so comfortable "at home" we decided to stay in for dinner instead of going out. Perfect location - close to Boone but still a cabin in the woods.

We (2 families with small children) stayed at Parkway's Edge twice already and had a great time! The cabin is fully equipped and has tons of games for kids. The playroom also has many options for older "kids". The location is wonderful in the middle of a forest and we hiked for 3 hours in the surrounding trails. We'll be back and highly recommend it.

Our family took a mini vacation this spring. We LOVED the cabin and the secluded yet not too secluded area. We loved to hike in the woods. The views were amazing. My husband and I, with our kids, 5 and 7 months, had a great stay at Parkway's Edge over New Year's. The cabin was very nice and well equipped. It is also tastefully decorated and safe for kids. The location is convenient, up a curvy gravel road from the main highway. You feel like you are in a remote area, but it is easy to get to - the best of both worlds. We had a great trip.

We had a wonderful time at your cabin. The location was perfect, being so close to the Blue Ridge Parkway. We loved going into Boone and Blowing Rock also. It was a special treat to see deer in the morning on the property. The game room was also a wonderful time had by all(little ones and their parents and grandparents.) :) Your cabin is on our list as the number one place to stay in that area. We had a great time, the cabin was perfect and in a quiet secluded spot,but near everything.It was so much fun to watch my 80 something parents play games in the basement.the ponds near by with giant fish and lots of deer made for great walks. loved everything.one thing you guys might think to add to the many amenities you have is a small cooler or picnic basket other wise you have everything we could think of..thanks for all your help and that of your birthday helper it was perfect!!!hope to return again.

Our visit to Parkways Edge was super! My grandchildren (5 and 3) LOVED the toys. The microphone allowed those talented two entertain us for quite a spell!!! The outside firepit was a definite hit. Somehow 1/2 of a bag of marshmallows disappeared. Such a great experience... I'm just sorry we couldn't stay longer this time. Thank you, Lee Ann, for great customer service!

This cabin was so great we didn't want to leave after a whole week away from home! All we had to pack was our clothes, even with a 2 and 3 year old. It had everything. Although we had a blast at all of the tourist attractions (especially Tweetsie), we had just as much fun when we were at the cabin- the adults and the kids! It is so comfortable, inside and out. We were really lucky with some cool weather in August. It was great to escape the heat and humidity. Thanks so much for a great family vacation:)

We had a great time. Even though our trip was in late July the mountain air was cool and comfortable. The views from the back deck were awesome and I saw deer every day we were there. The cabin was well-equipped and very comfortable. Importantly, for me, everything was easy to operate. The game room in the basement provided hours of fun. We just got home from a long weekend at the cabin. We were there visiting Thomas the Tank Engine at Tweetsie Railroad. We had a very nice time. We had a wonderful time at your cabin. It was just me and my husband and we had such a relaxing time. I loved the decor, and the cabin had everything. Loved the basement games. we spent a long weekend at parkways edge with our family (1 and 3 year old) and a friend's family ( 1, 4 and 6 year old). everyone had a great time -- and we certainly enjoyed all the toys, especially the train table in the loft, and the air hockey in the basement. the weather during our visit in april was extremely foggy and cold, and it was sort of like living in a cloud, but we didn't mind. still made it to grandfather mountain and blowing rock, linville caverns, downtown boone and town of blowing rock and lots of great area playgrounds. it was always nice to come "home" to our cabin in the woods, cook dinner and relax. thanks to lee ann for being a great hostess and all of her suggestions. we would definitely recommend this cabin to families (even with just two bedrooms, we felt comfortable with the size) looking for an easy get-a-away. we'll be back! our only concerns -- another babygate at the bottom of the stairs would be great and perhaps to sand and finish the trim, especially along the stairs (we got a splinter on the railing).

We have just returned from a weeks stay at Parkway's Edge and could not have had a better vacation anywhere! My family and I fell in love with this cabin from the moment we walked into the door. We found the cabin to be exceptionally clean and stocked with everything (and I do mean everything)we needed for our stay. We only had to pack our personal clothing and groceries and we were more than set for a wonderful stay! My older daughters and I enjoyed "down time" watching the numerous deer out back, sunrises and sunsets, starry nights, and the total eclipse (bonus!) and listening to ...well...SILENCE! My 10 year old son and 4 yr old granddaughter stayed occupied the entire stay with the playloft and rec room in the basement. I even won a few games of foosball and air hockey just to proove Mom still has "it"! While we had plenty of area attractions to visit, I was surprised when my kids just wanted to "stay home" and hang out. So, we had a PJ day, and a Popcorn and movie night, and baked and ate..and ate! What FUN! As we left, I couldn't help but notice that my 10 yr old "man" was trying very hard to hide his tears! This cabin has quickly become "our mountain house" and it is primarily due to the wonderful owners. From decor, to stocking and comfort measures to directions and help with planning, you couldn't ask for more anywhere! Thanks for a memorable stay! The Morgan family

My family of 5 plus my mother enjoyed our weekend stay at Parkways Edge. The cabin is truly a classic beauty. It is rustic, yet comfortable. It is extremely well stocked and has plenty of emenities. The location is also a major plus and boasts of both beauty and serenity. The only negatives I could think of would be that the breaker for the basement did trip a few times and a couple of the interior doors were difficult to close.... both easily repairable. Back on the positives, I would be remiss if I didn't give honorable mention to Lee Ann Harrison who was awesome as an agent and helper in every way.

The place was fantastic. The Game room downstairs and toys in the loft were a life saver. My kids especially loved the karaoke machine. I think they sang songs for 2 days straight. We had a wonderful weekend stay at Parkway's Edge! The cabin is just gorgeous, and had all the amenities we could want. It was clean and luxurious. We stayed in the cabin with another family - all our children loved the fabulous toys and games in the basement and loft. The surroundings are just breathtaking! We just returned from our SECOND visit to Parkways Edge cabin within 6 months. We took friends with us each visit and all thoroughly enjoyed our time in the cabin. We have owned a rental cabin which we also rented through VRBO and therefore are appreciative of the efforts the owners have taken to be sure the guests feel like they are in their own home rather than a bland motel room! Unlike so many rental cabins, Parkways Edge is exceptionally comfortable, beautifully decorated, completely stocked with the basic necessities and located in a very peaceful, secluded setting. Location of the cabin is ideal for trips to all the sights in the area, including Blowing Rock. Although we had no children with us, children would NEVER want to leave because of all the many toys and games in the cabin. No one would be disappointed by a visit to Parkways Edge cabin. We look forward to our third visit in the very near future!

We had the most wonderful time in your beautiful cabin. It had everything we needed and then some. Our 1 year old had a great time playing in the loft upstairs. Since I am a travel agent myself and book other peoples vacations all the time, I was impressed with Parkways Edge cabin. It in a good location to all the surrouning areas of Boone,it is right next to the Parkway , we went to Sugar Mtn. Blowing Rock,Banner Elk drove thru Valley Crucis - beautiful drive and even went to the top of Beech Mt. and walked the ski slopes! The cabin is great for families , plenty of room for everyone, and all the games,toys etc. for the little ones as well as the grown-ups! The kitchen is well-equipped and easy to cook in,I baked chocolate chip cookies and one morning I made belgium waffles, and of course my 3-1/2 yr.old grandson had to help me bake! Our family - myself and husband alond with our son,daughter-in-law and 2 grandsons (3-1/2 & 2 yr.olds) would highly recommend this cabin to other families or 2 couples looking to get away from their hectic schedules! We had a wonderful at Parkway's Edge. It was a beautiful, relaxing place to be. We enjoyed sitting on the deck watching for the deer in the morning.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Parkways Edge. The cabin is immaculate, beautifully decorated and fully equipped. You can enjoy the peace and quiet of the cabin or take a short drive and enjoy a multitude of activities. The owner's have thought of everything to make your visit a pleasure. We will be back.
