This 5 bedroom, 3.5 bathroom lodge presents over 3,000 square feet of space for everyone. It features a large kitchen area, a full game room, TV room, wireless broadband Internet access, dining room and living room with large windows and a beautiful view.
The house is located five minutes from Donner Lake and old town Truckee in the Tahoe Donner development. You have access to all of the private association’s recreational facilities, including a private beach club on Donner Lake (with kayaks, windsurf boards and sailboats for rent), a top-notch tennis center, 18-hole golf course, a large swim and fitness center (including modern work-out facilities, steam rooms and three Jacuzzi's), three pools and an equestrian center. The Tahoe Donner area also includes many mountain biking and hiking trails. In winter, Tahoe Donner has the second largest cross country ski trail system in California. The small ski hill is perfect for children or adults learning to snowboard!
On the third floor is a large bedroom with a king and twin bed and private balcony, a queen and twin room with vaulted ceilings, and a full bathroom. The master, with a king bed, bathroom with double sink and deep tub, is on the main floor off the living room. The living room has large windows onto the wooded view, a charming wood burning stove that heats well, and a large wrap around deck. Downstairs past the game room, with a hall door for privacy and noise reduction, are two more bedrooms one with bunks and a double bed, the other with a queen. There is a full bath with shower stall. The downstairs is very open and light and has windows and a sliding door to the side yard. The house sleeps 14 comfortably.
It is perfect for three or four families, or up to five couples. Relax quietly in the livingroom in front of the woodburning stove and catch up with your friends as the kids play in the gameroom downstairs. The game room offers ping pong, foosball, and board games as a nice distraction. Or, light a fire and curl up with a book. Hosting family dinners is easy since the dining/kitchen area seats 14 people.
It is just five minutes from Highway 80, twenty minutes to Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadowsand 15 minutes to Northstar. It is 20 minutes to Lake Tahoe (via 267 to Kings Beach), and 30 minutes to the Reno Airport.
This property is located in the desirable Unit 8 section of Tahoe Donner the area closest to the entrance, providing for easier access on those snowy days and less traffic and travel time to the house. It is located on a quiet street, with quiet neighbors, a flat driveway (with basketball hoop), and only three stairs to the door. The home backs to a greenbelt, with an empty wooded lot beyond. We will allow a dog with an extra pet deposit. Absolutely NO SMOKING.

My wife and I have three children who enjoy going to Tahoe for long weekends or extended vacations. We live in the San Francisco Bay Area, and find that it's very quick and easy to visit Tahoe and the surrounding area.
Why the Owner Chose Tahoe Donner
We bought this vacation house to share with family and friends. It offers a great "base" from which to explore the many attractions of the Tahoe.
The Unique Benefits of this Cabin
The Sitzmark Lodge is just five minutes from Truckee, 15 minutes to Squaw Valley, and 25 minutes to Lake Tahoe. The Lodge provides guests (through guest past cards) with access to the many Tahoe Donner Association amenities, including a health club, beach club, golf course, ski hill, sledding area, equestrian center, cross country ski center, a large fitness center and spa, 3 swimming pools, multiple hot tubs and more. There are numerous lakes and rivers in the area, including Lake Tahoe, Donner Lake, Prosser Creek Reservoir, Boca Reservoir, Stampede Reservoir, Truckee River, Prosser Creek, Little Truckee River, etc.
