We had a great stay at this location all was as listed in the AD. Great view of the water and a short walk to the beach.Kitchen was perfect as was the attached living room. Plenty of Bathrooms and that helped with 6 adults and two small children. Very quiet the week we were there but we did notice on Saturday there were more people arriving and it was still quiet. Will strongly consider this location when we come to the beach again. 10 miles from the main area of Galveston but seems short. Lots of places to eat on Sea Wall. Strongly Recomend Guido's for sea food.

Princess Jamaica was the perfect house for our family, which hailed from nj and all over Texas to celebrate some important birthdays, anniversaries, and even thanksgiving. The kitchen was spacious and well equipped for a thanksgiving meal. There is lots of sitting space for a large family, nice deck space for chilling in the balmy ocean air. Tv's, though rarely used, in several rooms with DVDs to borrow, as well as lots of reading material. The ocean is super close and the house has ocean view.the wners are super sweet and attentive and the house feels homey with lots of nice details. The dogs loved being on the deck too, and it is nice Y equipped for kids and dogs since there is a gate. We would love to visit here again. Thanks Jane and bob!

Back Again This Year and Still Great!

This was our 2nd year to rent this house and I just can't say enough good about the house and the owners. Our group of friends just love staying at this house during the motorcycle rally in Galveston. It is close enough to everything at the rally but yet a nice bike ride back to the house. There is plenty of room for everyone in our group even the single guys get the bunk room downstairs. Even our dog loves this place and even remembered being there before. I don't have to worry about him getting out onto the road because of the gate on the deck to keep him in. The kitchen is very well stocked with dishes, pots and utensils. All I had to do was go to town and buy the food and paper goods (plates and cups) so I didn't have to wash so many dishes. We'll be back again! Thanks for letting us rent and use your home on the beach. We consider it our home away from home now!

Great Beach House

We had 4 couples and 3 children ranging in ages from 9 months to Four years. We have been coming to Galveston almost every year for 31 yrs. This is the first time we have rented directly from owners of the property and will certainly do so again. The house was wonderful and we had all the room we needed. Close to the beach but not so close that we could not catch the grandchildren before they reached to stairs to the beach. Well stocked kitchen, having a large family this is the first time I can remember having a pot big enough to cook enough spaghetti or soup for the entire group at one time. We will be back again!!! Thank you, Jane and Bob for sharing your home with us!

I took my very small high school band on a trip to Galveston and had a marvelous time at this spacious beach house! The area is nice. People in the area are very friendly. The owners are the best I've ever done business with! Lovely kitchen! Very clean! I DEFINITELY would recommend this place! I DEFINITELY plan on returning!

Princess Jamaica

We rented this house as a base for my son's wedding for ourselves and out-of-town and out-of-state friends and relatives. It was perfect!!! It is the best supplied house I have ever rented. The views are spectacular and access to the beach is superb. The bride's family from Minnesota could not believe how great it is!! It is far enough from the main part of the Island to be quiet and peaceful but close enough for easy accessibility to all the fun and conveniences that Galveston offers.

Eleven members of an adult mission trip from First United Methodist Church in Billings went to Galveston to help in Ike recovery work in October 2009. We had the privilege of staying at Princess Jamaica. After long days of hard work it was a wonderful respite to return to this beautiful home in the evenings. There were 4 couples and 3 single women. The layout of the bedrooms and baths gave privacy to all. There were plenty of towels and linens for all and the kitchen is so well equipped. Thank you so much Bob & Jane. You were a blessing to us.

This was a great place. It had everything we needed and had plenty of room. Great views. Close to convenience stores. Easy to find. Property was clean and well maintained. I would recommend to my family and friends and probably stay there again. Again its a great place for multiple families.

Great Place to Stay

We arrived on Thursday evening and it was raining, but that soon went away on Friday. The house was perfect for our group of friends. Having the 4 bathrooms was a God Send! The deck has a gate on it that was very helpful in keeping track of where our little weiner dog was at all times and helped him be able to go outside like he has access at home and not wander off to the highway. The house itself was clean and well maintained. It was not too far from Galveston's main attractions and very close to the beach. It made for a great little ride on our Harley's into town and back. Sure beat waiting for the ferry the last few years. I loved the kitchen and wished mine at home was this nice. I did bring some of my own pots and such as I'm used to using my own to cook in as I never measure things when cooking so the same pots make it easier for me, but the kitchen was well stocked with all necessary utinsels. The master bedroom was at the far back of the house and my Mom had a nice quiet place to retreat. The internet access was a plus and the police and fire station is directly behind the house which our group needed on Friday night due to one couple having an accident down the road a bit, they are fine now as the EMT's were quick to arrive at the scene. UTMB hospital just opened back up a couple of weeks before we arrived so we were able to see how great a hosipital ER is available on the island. I give this place a great big thumbs up all around! We will more than likely be renting this place again if available for future stays! I would recommend this house for a larger group like ours. It worked perfect for us.

My family and I had a wonderful time. This house is great, comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen, nice appliances. Parking was very convenient. Beach access was easy. Will definitely go back. Owners are friendly and easy to work with.

Dear Bob and Jane, Monica here. I rented the Princess Jamaica beach house June 8-15. I just wanted to let you know that we had a wonderful time. Your house is very nice. We wnet to the beach everyday except one, we went to Moody Gardens and alot of shopping. It is great that people like you give others the chance to have a Great place to stay. When I get my pictures I will send you some. If we do go back to Galveston next year we will be calling for this house first. I also like that I was able to talk to you anytime I needed to. This house was just perfect for our family weekend! We had people flying in from San Diego, Denver and Virginia and everyone just absolutely loved the place. It was a great location with a great beach just accross the street which was perfect since the main public beaches were PACKED. The house itself was so nice and well maintained, I can't say enough great things about our stay. Thanks for the memories!

The house is great. It is perfect for a large gathering of friends. There is plenty of room and four bathrooms! It was great because no one had to wait to shower. GREAT VIEW! Thanks again.
