This custom designed, three story, Swedish Chalet in North Lake Tahoe's prestigious "Dollar Point" is a wonderful Family vacation home, close to private beach, pool and tennis. The large kitchen features pine cabinets and is adjacent to the spacious living/dining area with a huge lovely wood burning/gas fireplace with lots of seating. Bring the kids and enjoy the large deck and expansive lake views. BBQ on the deck while watching the boats.
The kitchen is fully equipped with all the cooking utensils you need and pretty European dishes and glassware. You will be able to set a nice table in the dining room or enjoy going out to one of the many fine restaurants in the area. In addition to the traditional cooktop there is a Jenn-Air with griddle and grill and a trash compactor to ease the chores.
Two King beds, Two Queen beds, Four Bunk beds and Two Twins. Two brand new pine beds for the loft. Check out the picture One of the bathrooms has a very popular steam shower and another all-tile bath is brand new. (And nice, fluffy towels) Huge picture windows for the fantastic view, high 18 foot beamed ceilings. The ambiance and feeling in this home is the best. Our family uses it for vacations and absolutely loves it!
The lower deck opens up to a lawn and a large back and side yard.
The amenities include: Walking distance to: Private beach with swim area, restrooms and picnic area; long pier for suntanning, boating and fishing, Olympic size swimming pool, BBQ and play area and tennis courts - a favorite for locals and vacationers! River rafts available in basement for floating down Truckee River.
Dollar Point amenities are awesome. The pool area now has bocce and shuffleboard courts. Traditional barbeque Wednesdays are popular as is the Art and Wine exhibition. All this plus a beautiful pool and swim lessons. Games for kids and tennis courts adjacent.

We fell in love with beautiful Lake Tahoe when we came from Sweden and built the classic European chalet. Tahoe is the ultimate vacation spot with its majestic mountains and also beautiful beaches. We loved it from the start, and believe you will also. Our home has all the amenities and charm to make it a comfortable vacation. We aim to please and hope you will enjoy it as much as we do. The children and grandchildren have loved all their vacations and holidays there . Christmas at Dollar Point is a tradition for many years and very special in our hearts.
The Unique Benefits at this House
Dollar Point is the best place for fun and convenience. The Olympic pool and the summer programs is fantastic. The Friday BBQ and games for the kids are very special. Also, shuffleboard and bocce! The tennis courts and clinics are very popular. The private beach has volley ball games, umbrellas and is a kid's paradise. The long pier is a favorite for crayfishing, sunbathing, boating and just hanging out.

We loved our week at your beautiful home. Dollar Point proved to be perfect and with the pool a short walk in one direction, and the private beach three blocks in the other, the house is ideally located. The view from the deck is magnificent, with morning sun over the lake with the snow topped mountains in the background. Lots of room and comfortable beds. Well stocked kitchen (we celebrated a birthday while there and found the cake pans for the requested Red Velvet Cake)and games and books for our youngster. It was very hard to leave!
Recommended for:Families with teenagers, pet owners, adventure seekers, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children.

Ski Lease January through April , 2011 Birgitta - After a long and glorious season, our team has tearfully said goodbye to the beloved 57 Tahoma Ave. We all very much enjoyed our time at your home and treated it like our own. Birgitta Thank you so much! It has been a most amazing Thanksgiving weekend. The house is a beauty and the whole thing felt like a Christmas carol came alive with all the snow around. We followed your instructions - windows are shut as well as the deck door. The thermostat is on low 50 and the dog's karaoke machine is on. Our dog had enjoyed her karaoke moment - as a farewell. Hi Birgitta, We had a wonderful time in your Tahoe house. The house itself was great and the location was perfect for us. The bedroom configuration was also perfect for our family, since we had 4 couples and 5 kids. The kitchen was well equipped and it was nice having the inner tubes and assorted beach gear available. We had a wonderful week an the entire family enjoyed the time together.

Hi Birgitta, The house is great. We are really enjoying our stay. We have occupied every room in the house and it is working beautifully for our stay...... Compliments have been heard from all on your nicely stocked kitchen, beautiful plates and settings! The weather has been colder than expected. With a projected high of 58 degrees today, this morning is the first without a morning snow in 4 days!

Birgitta, We had a fabulous time.It was really special for my husband and me. All our children and grandchildren were there... pls we invited his brother and wife. We were celebrating my husband's 70th birthday. There were 10 adults and three children. The dinner table was great because we could all fit around it with the baby in the highchair.The pool area is absolutely beautiful, large pool, tennis courts, ping pong table, shuffle board, and large grassy area for the kids to run around. Plus, we had fun at the beach also. There is so much to do in the area... lake tours, river rafting, bike trails... plus much more and something for everyone. I've rented places in different parts of Mexico and all the Hawaiian Islands, but this was one of the best vacations we've had. Again, thank you! PS. The bottle of champagne was very nice of you - Thank you!

Hi Birgitta! We left your lovely home at 9:15 today after a wonderful week. The dishwasher is full of clean dishes, the laundry has one load of towels in the washer, and we stripped the beds and left the sheets. We replaced the dishwashing detergent and left some hand soap and tissues. When we arrived, everything was in good order. We used many of your kitchen pans (even the waffle maker) and thoroughly enjoyed your well-appointed home. We put out trash on Thursday. It was a pleasure doing business with you! We would be thrilled to rent your home again. Diane
