  We stayed at Birgitta's lovely Swedish chalet as part of a 50th birthday celebration for my brother. There were 13 of us (3 couples with 7 children total - 4 boys and 3 girls - ranging in age from 10 - 30), and we fit perfectly. The home is so cozy, yet it's deceptively large. We had 14 people at dinner on July 4th, and we fit in the dining room with room to spare. The house is well-equipped with everything you'd need, from a well-stocked kitchen to puzzles, board games and movies, and just about everything in between. We especially loved the dishwasher and the trash compacter! The steam shower was a big hit -- I can only imagine how awesome it must be after a day in the snow! Downstairs, there is a large storage area with inner tubes, rafts (and a pump), paddles, beach chairs, folding chairs, etc. The main deck has lovely lake views and a large gas grill, and it's the perfect spot to enjoy your morning coffee or an afternoon nap -- so peaceful! The Dollar Point neighborhood is awesome -- the pool area is gorgeous. In addition to the big, beautiful pool with plenty of chairs/chaises, there are 3 tennis courts, bocce ball, shuffleboard, and charcoal grills/picnic tables. It's surrounded by lawn and trees for lots of shade if you've had enough sun, and the building with the restrooms and office looks brand new. In addition, the private beach and pier are also fantastic (and there are more tennis courts there), and the people that work there are extremely polite and helpful. The Dollar Point location is close to Tahoe City, Tahoe Vista and Kings Beach, for shopping, restaurants, jet-skiing, paddle boarding, kayaking, rafting down the Truckee, golf, etc. It was an absolute pleasure working with Birgitta -- she patiently answered all of my questions and generously helped with a concern that we had. She is also a wealth of knowledge for local information, including where the best places are to watch fireworks on the 4th! The house was extremely clean when we arrived, and we enjoyed every minute of our stay there. We were sad to leave, and are hopeful that we can all make a return trip again very soon.   We live in Reno and like to take quick get aways to Tahoe. Stayed a week starting with Father's day weekend. Well located 1/2 way between pool/tennis and the private beach area. Had the kids and grandkids and everyone had a bed. Three full baths makes the number of beds work. This was the best stocked kitchen including condiments etc that we have ever experienced. This was a warm, truly family house and not just a market rental.

  Recommended for: Families with young children, pet owners, age 55+, families with teenagers.

  Hello Birgitta, We had a wonderful time at your lovely cozy chalet. We definitely enjoyed your fully stocked kitchen, the big warm fireplace and the long dining table was just perfect for all of us. t was smowing a little bit when we got there, so the kids enjoyed watching the snowflakes coming down through your big glass windows. Although we were not able to go swimming (too cold). We did still had a fun time walking on the nice clean private beach and pier. The location of the house is just perfect. It's close to everything.....Safeway, Savemart, Restaurants, Video rentals etc. Overall, we were all happy that we stayed at your vacation home and we will definitely be back

  We loved our week at your beautiful home. Dollar Point proved to be perfect and with the pool a short walk in one direction, and the private beach three blocks in the other, the house is ideally located. The view from the deck is magnificent, with morning sun over the lake with the snow topped mountains in the background. Lots of room and comfortable beds. Well stocked kitchen (we celebrated a birthday while there and found the cake pans for the requested Red Velvet Cake)and games and books for our youngster. It was very hard to leave!

  Birgitta, We had a wonderful stay at your beautiful home. Everyone had a great time and enjoyed the beach and the pool and the many water sports that Tahoe has to offer. It was a great family reunion in a wonderful location. We really enjoyed the size and layout of your house and all the special decorations that made it unique and homey.   Ski Lease January through April , 2011 Birgitta - After a long and glorious season, our team has tearfully said goodbye to the beloved 57 Tahoma Ave. We all very much enjoyed our time at your home and treated it like our own. We would very much like to consider renting the place again next year. Thank you very much for sharing your home with us. We are all a bit sad that the season has come to an end, but we anxiously look forward to next year.

  Birgitta Thank you so much! It has been a most amazing Thanksgiving weekend. The house is a beauty and the whole thing felt like a Christmas carol came alive with all the snow around. We followed your instructions - windows are shut as well as the deck door. The thermostat is on low 50 and the dog's karaoke machine is on. Our dog had enjoyed her karaoke moment - as a farewell.   Hi Birgitta, We had a wonderful time in your Tahoe house. The house itself was great and the location was perfect for us. The bedroom configuration was also perfect for our family, since we had 4 couples and 5 kids. The kitchen was well equipped and it was nice having the inner tubes and assorted beach gear available. We had a wonderful week an the entire family enjoyed the time together.

  Hi Birgitta, The house is great. We are really enjoying our stay. We have occupied every room in the house and it is working beautifully for our stay...... Compliments have been heard from all on your nicely stocked kitchen, beautiful plates and settings! The weather has been colder than expected. With a projected high of 58 degrees today, this morning is the first without a morning snow in 4 days!

  We absolutely LOVED your beautiful cozy home! It was so warm and comfortable, and such a nice change from modern built homes, which can feel cold Your lovely flowers and welcome note were a special touch, thank you so much. We will definitely be back - we loved everything and the Dollar Point community is perfect. I left you two "Great Reno Balloon Race" wine glasses in your cabinet to add to your collection.
