'The Place' is a cozy 4-bedroom log home designed and built by our family. Everyone’s ideas were hashed out to create a home filled with modern conveniences, comfort, atmosphere and plenty of activities for everyone. Being active we wanted to be within five minutes of Jay Peak to ski/golf/hike BUT far enough away to escape the crowds. As 'The Place' is built on 4 acres of land in the Sargent’s Farm subdivision, quiet walks, long bike rides, cross-country skiing and snow shoeing are at our doorstep. Stormy weather is never a problem: the game room is equipped with pool, ping pong, air hockey and fuseball tables; enjoy TV, VCR (library), DVD in the loft; snuggle up in the living room to a crackling fire while listening to music on the stereo. 'The Place' has a fully equipped kitchen, 3 bathrooms, linens/towels and washer/dryer. Direct TV, DSL,Disc ski/golf tickets.

This spacious, clean, and conveniently located cabin was just what we were looking for. The owner made the rental procedure pleasant, quick and easy. There is a caretaker who lives close by who helped us when we locked ourselves out and even met us before our check-in time to get the family ski passes. The kids enjoyed the ping pong and the pool table while the adults hung out in the open, comfortable family room in front of the wood stove. I would recommend this property to families who will be skiing at Jay Peak where the snow and the terrain is the best.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We had a group of people that stayed at "The Place" for our ski trip to Jay Peak. Everyone had a great time and "The Place" accommodated all 12 of us comfortably. The wood stove kept everyone warm and the lower level game room provided plenty of entertainment. "The Place" is very close to Jay Peak which provided an easy access to the mountain, even in snowy conditions.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.
