  • Feb. 8-16 This was the perfect rental for our family. We were an extended family coming to Laguna for a wedding and were original planning to stay at a hotel and this was so much better! EVERYONE was very pleased with the house. All of the extra gathering space this rental offers was so nice, such as the outdoor areas, dining room, 2 living rooms, large yard and patios. It was great to be able to visit and play games. Having the guest house gave more room to spread out and have more privacy. Location is perfect, walk to beach and town. Your house was very comfortable and beautiful. Kitchen was large and had everything needed. I hope to come back some day. Thank you for renting us your lovely home.

  • Cindy, We really enjoyed our month long visit to beautiful, historic Hope Cottage. We felt as though it was our home away from home. What a wonderful experience to meet some of the faces on the hallway wall and read the family history posted in the laundry room. Sitting outside in such beautiful surroundings, what more could we ask for? Thank you for sharing your home. Thanks also to Aggie for taking care of us. We look forward to a return visit.

  • Beyond our expectations!! Wonderful, welcoming home, plenty of room. The beautiful furnishings offered us a spring break full of peace and tranquility, lush flower gardens, charming town and friendly people.The location is perfect, just a quick walk to town, several markets to shop for meals every night in a kitchen stocked with every possible cooking need.   • My family gathered at Hope Cottage to celebrate my mother's 85th birthday and it couldn't have been more perfect. This is definitely a home-away-from-home vacation rental with plenty of comfortable furnishings, gorgeous gardens, original art, family photos and even newspaper articles in the laundry room about the history of this family! The up-grades are amazing with a dream kitchen (two refrigerators and another in the guest house!) and beautiful windows letting in plenty of light and offering views of the surrounding gardens. Lots of nooks and crannies are available for reading, playing cards, chatting or just relaxing. We all loved this home and agreed we will be returning soon.

  • Hope Cottage is a great place for a vacation, a down home country feel down by the beach. Excellent vacation rental with plenty of space and character both inside and out. Has a kitchen that any chef would love as well as a gas barbeque out on the patio. Two thumbs up for this SoCal rental, we loved it

  • My family and I just returned from a week in this gorgous cottage. We were overwhelmed with the quality and charming feel of this lovely magical place. We were impressed with the fresh flowers placed in the home as well as the up to date kitchen. There was plenty of room for all and we didnt know what was better- the beach or just relaxing at this perfect get away.   • Hope Cottage is wonderful. Our first stay at the Cottage was in January. We liked the cottage so much that we rented again in May and we are now going back in November. On our first stay, we took four college-age children, our 5 year old, and their Grandmother - age 81. Hope Cottage caters to the young and the old. The adults stayed in the main house and the college-age children stayed in the guest house. The cottage is located within easy walking access to the beach, restaurants and local shops. Everyone wants to return with us in January. The house is fully equipped from the kitchen to the laundry room. The furnishings are tremendous. The flowers and surrounding yard is picture perfect.   • We had an absolutely fabulous week in Laguna Beach at Hope Cottage. Here are the things about Hope Cottage we loved: 1. Garden. Absolutely huge, beautiful, private with a great combination of sun and shade. We ate at least one meal at the table every day. 2. Location. We walked everywhere in Laguna – to Wild Oats for groceries, Zinc for coffee, Main Beach, restaurants. 3. The space in the house. The 4 of us used about half the house and never really ventured into the Guest Cottage. 4. All the amenities. Having a washer/dryer was so great. And having all the basic cleaning supplies was so helpful. 5. The owner and the local contact are both very helpful and accommodating.

  • We enjoyed Hope Cottage so very much! The house is gorgeous, updated kitchen and bathrooms with plenty of space for everyone to be comfortable. The house has a charm that made it feel magical. The gardens are amazing, and our childen had many hours of play on the grounds. We were close to all the places we wanted to go. We even walked to the Pageant of the Masters. We look forward to staying at Hope Cottage again!
