Thanks Capt. Alex and Janet for providing this wonderful vacation opportunity for our family! We appreciated your thoughtfulness in waiting one extra day till we arrived to do the stonecrabbing expedition. It was an excellent conclusion to our marine biology unit we did with our children prior to coming. The children enjoyed naming the islands on the map you provided after we explored them. It was fun fishing and coming up with a different kind of fish almost every time and bringing back the pictures to have Alex identify them for us. We enjoyed finding many varieties of shells and seeing armadillos and a bald eagle on Honeymoon Island. Kayaking through the mangroves was also a highlight. After seeing the movie Dolphin Tale we were pleasantly surprised to discover that the Clearwater aquarium is only minutes from Captains Quarters so we were able to go see Winter there.

We have been doing VRBO for about 8 years now and haven't ever been this impressed! Captain Alex and Janet are amazing! Captain Alex took our family out on his boat to go pull crab traps but didn't stop there, he helped prepare them and delivered pictures he took on our outing to our condo that afternoon. There really isn't anything they havent thought of! The condo was immaculate and had everything there you could possibly need. We took the boat out daily to explore islands and collect shells with the kids, rode bikes, enjoyed the deck and the company of all the dolphins! Truly an amazing two weeks and cant wait to do it again! Thank you so much Janet and Captain Alex.

My husband and I along with my parents stayed here for 10 days Nov 5-15th 2011 We loved it! Capt Alex and Janet could not be nicer.we went crabbing and what a treat to eat them Having a boat available was fantastic and used regularly.trying to figure out the fish we caught was always interesting.we highly recommend captains quarters,you will love it.the apartment itself was fabulous and very comfortable. If you are planning a vacation to this area, you could not possibly have better accommodations than the Captains Quarters. We rented 5 units for our family to attend our wedding in July. We have stayed all over the area for 10 years and had the best experience staying here. The condo's were clean, comfortable with a fun tropical flare. They are very well equipped with everything you need in the kitchens and living area. Outside, they supply you with everything you need or want from boats, bikes, fishing rods and an outdoor patio with grills. You can enjoy watching bids, fish and waterfront sunsets from your deck. Best of all Capt. Alex and Janet treated us as special guests and were just fantastic all around. They were so welcoming and accommodating, we were thrilled with our experience and highly recommend the Captains Quarters for your vacation, family reunion or wedding. We hope to return soon. Thank you again for everything Capt. Alex and Janet!

Great Vacation Rental!

The Captain's Quarters rental was a great experience and we will be repeat customers. The condo had everything you could possibly need. Loved the unit and the location on the water. Having a boat to take out to the islands and just putt around in was great fun. The boat was a big plus and enabled us to go to deserted and beautiful beach that is only accessible by water. Captain Alex and Janet were most gracious host and hostess. To top things off, we participated in a fun crabbing trip with Captain Alex which resulted in a crab dinner not to be forgotten because the crab was very fresh and absolutely delicious. Many thanks to the host and hostess!

Amazing stay, LOVED having the boat

We stayed at the Captain's Quarters in January with our 4 year old little boy. Having the boat to take us shelling, dolphin watching (we saw them our first day), or just hanging out in the water for a picnic lunch was fabulous. The condo was nice as well and I enjoyed having a nice kitchen to cook in. This trip didn't break the bank and was the best family vacation we've had in a really long time!

We stayed for one week in January, 2011. It is homey. One member or our group fished everyday, with good results. For each unit, a boat, motor, and tackle is provided. It is within 50 feet of your front door. Dunedin is not a big town, but has most store types that you will need. Our condo had four units, and it was easy to blend in with the other renters. We learned that some of the other renters have visited Captin's Quarters several times, and stayed for long periods. Send Janet an email, she can answer your questions.

Just Perfect!

My husband and I spent 10 days here and Capt. Alex and his wife Janet were wonderful! The location is perfect! We took our kayaks and bikes (although they provide bikes) and really did not even have to drive anywhere if we didn't want to. We rode our bike on the Pinellas trail and kayaked the Caldesi Island Kayak Trail (a must!!) among other things. Capt. Alex even took us crabbing and showed us how to cook the crab and we enjoyed it out on our dock. Also, Janet suggested the perfect market, Harr's Surf & Turf where we got most of our stuff for grilling out. I would highly recommend!!! Thanks Capt. Alex & Janet!

By far one of the best vacations I have been on. Captain Alex and Janet were very friendly and helpful. Going out on the boat was the highlight of our vacation. You wouldn't believe the fun we had tkaing the boat out by ourselves and hopping from island to island, doing some fishing, and taking in all the sun. We have already booked our vacation for next year, and I am already counting down the days until we can return!
