Escape to Paradise with Incredible Sunsets and Balmy Breezes direct on the Gulf of Mexico with its beautiful White Sand Beaches stretching for miles. Private and very quiet, only two units in this building. Our condo features two bedrooms both with queen size beds, two full baths, updated and newly renovated in 2005, two car enclosed garage and private balcony. The condo is bright and airy and has a fully equipped kitchen.

Enjoy days relaxing on your private deck or balcony overlooking the turquoise waters of the Gulf of Mexico and as evening approaches, enjoy your favorite beverage while watching the spectacular sunsets and if you're fortunate, you will see dolphins swim not far from shore.

Longboat Key is one of Florida's most beautiful islands. Out of the way, yet easily accessible. Only minutes away are excellent restaurants and world-class shops, restaurants, and art galleries of St. Armands Circle. Sarasota's theater, cultural district and downtown are only a 10 minute drive. At last count, the nearby area offers over 79 golf courses, and of course the Sarasota International Airport is only approximately 20 minutes away.

Within walking distance across the street and set back is the "Avenue of the Flowers" a shopping center offering a Publix Supermarket, a CVS drugstore, several banks, gas station and other small shops.

  • We have stayed at Sandpiper twice and have really enjoyed our time there. It has a private deck with lots of lounge chairs and tables for reading, napping or enjoying the views. You don't have lots of people walking by your door as you do in condo projects. We used to go to Hawaii frequently and found this to be a much more practical solution economically and time wise as we live nearby. We enjoyed the home delivery of LBK restaurants as well as going out to eat. It is a great place to have your kids and/or grandkids visit as we did this year. The sunsets can be spectacular right from the front porch or deck.

  • What a great location! We especially appreciated the comfort of the shady porch and deck right on the beach. The condo was well appointed in every way (except there was no spatula!) and the brokers who arranged our rental couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. Definitely will recommend Sandpiper Condo to others, In fact, we're giving our daughter and son-in-law a long weekend as a birthday gift in April! They'll love it too.

  • We had a bayside home on Longboat Key for 18 years, so know this area very well. This comfortable, well situated, nicely appointed, 2 bedroom/2 bath house is smack on the beach. It allows for a very relaxing vacation, and is easy to maintain (no fancy w/w carpeting or frilly furniture to worrying about spilling red wine on). Its the perfect, casual, beachhouse, with drop dead views of the Gulf of Mexico, incredible bird life, and sightings of dolphin swimming by. The owners seem to have thought of every need including an outdoor shower. They couldn't have been more helpful when making our reservation, and welcoming our kitty Miles, who came with us. Miles thought he had died and gone to heaven, and enjoyed his time there as much as we enjoyed ours. We have many friends in this part of Florida, and all were amazed (as were we) at what the house has to offer, its location, and its price. The house is excellant value, and will leave you with enough funds to enjoy the many places in the area to eat. We especially liked The Cork, in Saint Armands Circle. And for a great massage, go to Lito, in St. Armands Therapeutic Massage, 941-708-2011, St Armands Circle. We are going back to this house in 2008 for another two weeks, and plan on doing so each year for as long as the owners will have us.

  • My husband, brother, sister-in-law and I recently rented this property for one week. We had been renting a nearby house for several years so were apprehensive about changing to a new rental, but we were extremely pleased with this property. How wonderful when the real thing is even nicer than its photos! It was spotlessly clean when we arrived and plenty of room for the four of us. The garage was an added bonus for storage. The location and views are wonderful from both the deck and the condo, and although we ate most meals out, we enjoyed grilling on the beach once. I have looked at plenty of properties on Longboat Key and you can't do much better than this one.

  • We had the pleasure of this condo for my daughters wedding. The condo was perfect in every way, it is right on the water, and the owners could not have been any more accomodating. It is immaculate, very modern and has everything you could possibly imagine or need! Even my caterer is going to rent it! I can not say enuf about what a wonderful experience this was. We will absolutely rent it again, as will the newlyweds on their 1st annniversary! From family events to just a nice get away, I truly cant think of anyplace nicer!

  • This lovely home is located right on the beach. If all you want is to relax, have a glass of wine and watch the sunset, this is the perfect place for you. My husband and I with another couple stayed at this unit. We had a wonderful time. Big enough and comfortable for two couples. Very clean. We would rent it again.

  • We enjoyed this property very much. The setting is perfect, right on the beach, with porch, shade trees and a great view of the sunset. The kitchen and bathrooms are updated and the living area is very large with picture windows all around. The garage would be valuable in the heat of the summer. Publix, CVS, the Post Office and Library are all within walking distance. The bike lanes and walking/running paths are all right at the front door and run the entire length of Longboat. There was not anyone in the upstairs unit while we were there Thansgiving week, so not sure about any noise from upstairs, but we would definitely consider renting this property again.
