“This was the perfect place to stay for our wonderful time in Savannah!”
“There couldn’t be a more perfect place to spend our first anniversary together.”
“Truly home away from home.”
“WOW!” “5 Star clean and kept!”
“This place is very special.”
“We WILL be back!”
These are just some of the recent notes received from recent guests. Even though they have probably told you all you really need to know, let me share a bit more about the greatest hidden gem in the Historic District!
This is not your ordinary rental; this was built as a weekend hideaway for the owner (that would be me), best of friends and closest of family. I want to share it with you for the times we are not there. This cozy two bedroom cottage has it all! You can kick back in the living room while you plan your daily walking tours through Savannah, fix something special in the gourmet kitchen and then serve it in the romantic garden or at the dining room table. Then you can top it all off with a relaxing evening on the private deck with its secluded garden while listening to the fountain. And finally, after each day of your special low country visit, sleep peacefully through the night in one of the two private bedrooms, each with a queen sized bed.
Luxury furnishings, flat screen televisions in every room, free high-speed Internet access, digital cable, huge DVD library, fully-equipped gourmet kitchen with stainless steel appliances, contemporary slate-tiled bathroom and a luxurious Jacuzzi tub all combine to make your stay something special. Nothing has been left out of this cottage.
This cottage has an historically-accurate exterior restoration with an outstanding, luxury interior renovation inside. Experts were so taken by what had been done that it was featured as part of SCAD’s Vernacular Architecture tour as an impressive example of reuse of an historic structure for modern living. Built in 1906 and totally renovated a century later, you will not find anything like it elsewhere in Savannah.
This is probably the best value in the historic district. A fabulous home base for the single traveler, romantic hideaway for two or command central for up to four, this cottage is by far one of the greatest accommodations for discriminating visitors to Savannah. Located one block off Troupe Square, you are just a short walk to just about everything Savannah has to offer. Within minutes you are on Bay or River Streets overlooking the Savannah River, feeling the mist from the historic fountain in Forsythe Park or wandering through the many galleries and other attractions of Georgia’s Colonial capital. All the while, you can leave your cars behind in your own private, off street parking spaces for the entire visit.
Keep in mind I never charge you hidden fees like many of the others do – I do not do business like that. I consider all of my guests as family and treat them just that way.
I look forward to having you as my guests!
Pets. I will consider having dogs under 35 pounds and who are VERY well behaved join as guests. Sorry, no cats due to owner allergies. Please contact for additional details. A non-refundable pet deposit will be charged. Members of the Pembroke Welsh Corgi Club of America or its regional clubs do not pay a pet fee!

My two sisters and I spent a wonderful sisters weekend at this charming cottage. It is so comfortable and inviting. We enjoyed our morning coffee and evening cocktails out on the back deck. The location is great for walking throughout the historic district. We will definitely stay here again on future visits to Savannah!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

A college friend and I stayed in this cottage for a week during spring break. The location was great - was able to walk to shopping/parks/restaurants. The cottage was clean and comfortable. Michael was very helpful, left us thorough information about the cottage and the area. The beds were comfortable. We loved eating breakfast on the back deck and the kitchen had everything we needed for the week. I would definitely recommend this cute cottage!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

Perfect for me, my husband and 20 yr old daughter. Having two bedrooms was much better than sharing a hotel room, and at a great price, too. Very quiet and peaceful. Loved the back porch. Beds very comfortable. Didn't use the kitchen other than for morning coffee, but very nice. My daughter was impressed with the DVD collection! Having wireless was also great! Easy to walk to everything if you're used to walking a mile or more.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

We would certainly stay here again. Having never been to Savannah, I had no idea that I would be staying in a perfect location. The Cottage was charming and Michael was a complete pleasure to work with. There was no hidden costs and he quickly replied to any concerns we had, prior to and during our stay. The property was clean and roomy enough. I would certainly stay at the Cottage again!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

The cottage is small and charming and with great history! The location is outstanding as you can walk to EVERYTHING in the Historic District. Troup Square is two blocks down and is picturesque, serene, and beautiful. We spent several evenings just sitting in the square enjoying the nights. The cottage is extremely well equipped for just about every need and then some. The cottage has a very modern feel mixed in with the historic framework - very well done. Instructions, guides, helpful information is thorough and all provided in the cottage. Private, offstreet parking is in a numbered stall just feet from the doorway. Savannah is a wonderful place to explore - wonderful food, amazing history, great ghost tours, and very friendly people. We were disappointed that we only had a long weekend to enjoy the cottage and city. Michael was superb to work with. Excellent communication and response to any question we had. Thanks! And we will be back!!!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

We arrived to fresh cut flowers on the table, a three ring notebook full of information on the cottage and tourist attractions, restaurants and things to do. The cottage was immaculate and exactly as pictured. It was so easy to feel at home that we hated to go after our 3 day stay was over. What impressed me was the attention to detail. Michael contacted me almost immediately after my initial inquiry and responded thoroughly to all of my questions. My deposit was returned quickly. This was the first time I had tried a VRBO rental and if they are all like this, I am definitely going to do this again!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, pet owners, girls getaway.

This cottage has become my second home. It allows me to re-center and focus on myself after a year of living in the busy bustle of NYC. I am fortunate to visit when the hosts are also in town and they cannot be more hospitable. They shared our holiday dinner and always make sure that the kitchen is well stocked with whatever our needs detail in advance of our arrival. The new furnishings are fun and the beds are more comfortable than ever. I cannot wait for my next visit. My only criticism is not with the cottage but that the home and area is so comforting that I keep looking at real estate signs for the possiblity of buying my own place down there. And I am sure Michael and John would be the perfect people to help with the search should I finally decide to stop renting their place and find one of my own.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway.

My husband, mom, our 3 small dogs and I stayed in this adorable cottage last weekend. It is in a great location and was close enough to walk to both the start and finish lines of the Savannah half marathon that my husband and I participated in. Michael is commuicative and easy to deal with. We hope to be back soon!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
