These are just some of the recent notes received from recent guests. Even though they have probably told you all you really need to know, let me share a bit more about the greatest hidden gem in the Historic District!
This is not your ordinary rental; this was built as a weekend hideaway for the owner (that would be me), best of friends and closest of family. I want to share it with you for the times we are not there. This cozy two bedroom cottage has it all! You can kick back in the living room while you plan your daily walking tours through Savannah, fix something special in the gourmet kitchen and then serve it in the romantic garden or at the dining room table. Then you can top it all off with a relaxing evening on the private deck with its secluded garden while listening to the fountain. And finally, after each day of your special low country visit, sleep peacefully through the night in one of the two private bedrooms, each with a queen sized bed.
Luxury furnishings, flat screen televisions in every room, free high-speed Internet access, digital cable, huge DVD library, fully-equipped gourmet kitchen with stainless steel appliances, contemporary slate-tiled bathroom and a luxurious Jacuzzi tub all combine to make your stay something special. Nothing has been left out of this cottage.
This cottage has an historically-accurate exterior restoration with an outstanding, luxury interior renovation inside. Experts were so taken by what had been done that it was featured as part of SCAD’s Vernacular Architecture tour as an impressive example of reuse of an historic structure for modern living. Built in 1906 and totally renovated a century later, you will not find anything like it elsewhere in Savannah.
This is probably the best value in the historic district. A fabulous home base for the single traveler, romantic hideaway for two or command central for up to four, this cottage is by far one of the greatest accommodations for discriminating visitors to Savannah. Located one block off Troupe Square, you are just a short walk to just about everything Savannah has to offer. Within minutes you are on Bay or River Streets overlooking the Savannah River, feeling the mist from the historic fountain in Forsythe Park or wandering through the many galleries and other attractions of Georgia’s Colonial capital. All the while, you can leave your cars behind in your own private, off street parking spaces for the entire visit.
Keep in mind I never charge you hidden fees like many of the others do – we do not do business like that. I consider all of our guests as family and treat them just that way.

A non-refundable pet deposit will be charged. Members of the Pembroke Welsh Corgi Club of America or its regional clubs do not pay a pet fee!

This cottage has become my second home. It allows me to re-center and focus on myself after a year of living in the busy bustle of NYC. I am fortunate to visit when the hosts are also in town and they cannot be more hospitable. They shared our holiday dinner and always make sure that the kitchen is well stocked with whatever our needs detail in advance of our arrival. The new furnishings are fun and the beds are more comfortable than ever. I cannot wait for my next visit. My only criticism is not with the cottage but that the home and area is so comforting that I keep looking at real estate signs for the possiblity of buying my own place down there. And I am sure Michael and John would be the perfect people to help with the search should I finally decide to stop renting their place and find one of my own.

My husband, mom, our 3 small dogs and I stayed in this adorable cottage last weekend. It is in a great location and was close enough to walk to both the start and finish lines of the Savannah half marathon that my husband and I participated in. Michael is commuicative and easy to deal with. We hope to be back soon!

My husband and I stayed here for a quick weekend getaway. We love Savannah and everything the town has to offer. We had stayed in the cottage for a majority of the weekend instead of doing our normal walking tours of the Savannah. The cottage is stocked with everything you need including tons of movies and the jetted tub was very nice after a day of walking around the town!

We had a great weekend. The place is just as pictured: clean, neat, QUIET. The house has everything you could possibly want. Location is great. You can walk to the River or anyplace in the Historic District within 15 minutes.

This vacation rental was our first with VRBO...what a wonderful experience! The Cottage was immaculate, and much more than we expected. The history of the Cottage was fascinating, too. The photos accurately reflected the property, and we are certainly going to recommend it to friends. It was very close to historic squares and the river. We enjoyed driving to Tybee Island to see the beaches and ocean as well as eating at the Crab Shack. The kitchen was well appointed (it even had truffle oil!!), but we enjoyed eating out during our stay. It was great to have a parking space, too. Thank you, Michael, for making this trip so great. I have stayed in this cottage numerous times and have considered it my own little private home in Savannah. As a native NYer who not only doesn't own a car--I have never learned to drive and the fact that this home is centrally located and within easy walking distance to everything is a great sell for me. As a localvore the kitchen is also amazing as when I travel I enjoy shopping the local farmers' markets (Polk's is my favorite) and cooking the regional foods and unlike most rentals, the equipment is sturdy and just what I would have at home. No dull blades and thin aluminum pans without covers in this rental. How many "rentals" have Le Creuset? As a 6ft 2 tall person, the shower is amazing, there's no bending over needed to rinse the hair. Always clean and cleaning supplies readily available for quick clean-ups of the small messes I make is a small but great homey touch. Well-stocked with towels and linens, I have never wanted to stay anywhere else. Because of this rental--my annual trip has become quarterly visits "home". I would not only recommend this cottage to the first-time tourist but strongly recommend it to frequent Savannah visitors.

This was the perfect setting for a holiday get away! We came to Savannah to see family, friends, and get a break from the City. The cottage was the ideal location to tour the historic sites that this great City has to offer in abundance. The place was spotlessly clean and very comfortable; we even used the well stocked kitchen to prepare a tasty Holiday meal. Thanks, Michael - we hope to return soon!

This was a fantastic place! I stayed there with my husband and two young children (2 years and 4 months) and had plenty of space to move around. It is within walking distance of everything, and cleaner than clean! The owner is absolutely fantastic, is very helpful regarding places to go and general information. I will definitely stay here again when I return to Savannah! I wholeheartedly recommend anyone to stay here.

We really enjoyed our week staying in the cotttage. It was just the right size for the two of us and our little dogs. It was a great location. We all enjoyed the walks to the squares. The neighbors were very friendly. The parking was great. The food in Savannah was fantastic! We would love to return when it was a bit cooler. The end of June was a bit hot and humid. Thanks Michael. Your communication was terrific.
