Enjoy the water from the large living area, screened porch, and master bedroom, as the boats cruise by, and dolphins and pelicans feed next to you. As evening approaches, expect some amazing sunsets. The front bedrooms welcome the sunrise, with views up the river to the Historic Morris Island Lighthouse.
The beds are super comfy with 1 king and 2 queens. The condo is decorated with rich colors throughout, all wood laminated flooring,and tiled baths. The décor was created with comfort and enjoyment in mind. Both the Living area and Master Br step out onto the large sceened porch over the water. The master bath has a whirlpool tub to soak after an active day of play. In addition to a fully equipped kitchen, there is a 3 burner gas grill on the screened porch to prepare your own catch from the sea. There is something to enjoy on the water all hours of the day.
This is a complex of only 32 units to share a private pool and a private dock for fishing, crabbing, or picnicing. The public boat landing is right across from our dock. The beach is a short few blocks away and offers miles of walking pleasure. Folly Beach has a wonderful mix of casual and classic dining, a funky fun downtown atmosphere, an outdoor park, and some music playing most of the time.
There is something for everyone to enjoy. The Folly Beach Fishing Pier is 1000 feet out into the Atlantic Ocean. Fishing gear, surf boards, kayaks, jet skis and numerous other equipment are available for rent. River and dolfin cruises are avilable in season as well. For a change of pace, James Island County Park is 5 min. off the island with kayaking and a climbing wall. There are also summer concerts and an amazing light show through the fall and winter holidays.
Charleston is an easy 15 minutes away, with carriage rides, river tours, antiques and shopping for every taste. The Straw Market is a favorite where locals still craft amazing sweetgrass baskets. Depending on time of year, there are Historic Home tours and Garden tours. Spoleto Festival, which is rich in art, dancing, and theatre arrives each Spring. Many quality golf courses are close by, with the famous courses of Kiawah Island as well as several other quality courses across the Ravenel Bridge. A public course is 5 minutes away on James Island. |
