Lake Santeetlah is located on the serene southwestern border of the Smoky Mountains. It is a pristine lake with deep green tinted waters and towering mountain backdrops. Surrounded by 80% National Forest fabulous hiking trails such as Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest/Slickrock Wilderness Area are just a few miles away.


For the more adventurous, Lake Santeetlah is the beginning of the "Tail of the Dragon", a worldwide destination for motorcycle and sportscar enthusiasts. The class IV/V Cheoah River is one of the newest adventures is white-water paddling, releasing from Lake Santeetlah on October 1 and November 1.
