Located 35 feet from the surf, our oceanfront condo in Poipu offers vacationers one of the best places to stay in Kauai. It has the best ocean views on the entire Island. Miles of beautiful coastline, crashing waves, breaching whales, sea turtles, great surfing action, and romantic evening sunsets can all be seen while relaxing in our condo in Kauai.
Completely renovated, our condo has new carpets, new tile flooring, new furniture, new art work, new track lighting, new Tommy Bahama pillow top beds, new Tommy Bahama dressers & night stands, new ceiling fans, a new 32-inch high definition flat panel LCD television, new plantation style louvered teak doors, new crown molding/wainscoting, a new stereo system, CD/DVD player, fresh paint, and much much more. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you'll need. The counter tops are white kashmere granite slabs. The cabinets are solid oak. The appliances are brand new top of the line Kitchen Aid stainless steel, featuring a convection oven. A Sub Zero refrigerator rounds out the kitchen decor.
If you plan to surf, boogie board, scuba dive, or snorkel during your vacation, you can't find a better place to stay in Kauai. Vacationers can surf, snorkel, boogie board, scuba dive, and even fish right out our back door.
The trade winds on Kauai blow directly into our bedrooms and living rooms. Sleeping is a breeze. When the weather gets warm, not many condos in Kauai stay as cool as our condo in Poipu.
Our condo is one of two ground floor corner units at Kuhio Shores. The corner units have an extra window, which creates a much more panoramic ocean view than that found in non-corner units. The extra window also makes the condo feel much larger and allows for more air flow.
Between our condo and the ocean is a beautiful manicured lawn that's perfect for kids. The lawn area feels like it's your own private back yard. It's great.
Having the best ocean view on the Island, and with swimming, snorkeling, surfing, boogie boarding, and scuba diving right out our back door, our condo is one of the best places to stay in Kauai.

Rates vary between $275 and $350 nightly, plus 13.42% tax. A
cleaning fee of $100 will be charged on all rentals. If you
wish to reserve the condo, a fully refundable deposit of $250 must be paid.
References are available. Sixty (60)days prior
to arrival, payment in full must be made. If you cancel after payment has been
made, you will receive 100% of your payment back, ONLY IF THE CONDO IS BOOKED TO
ANOTHER PARTY. Travel insurance is very inexpensive and can prevent you from
losing a substantial sum of money should you not be able to travel as scheduled.

Why the Owner Chose Kuhio Shores
Being a surfer as a young kid, I always wanted to live on the oceanfront. When I got older, I got into the real estate business, as well as the development business. In 1989, I sold a spec house that I had built in La Costa and bought two oceanfront condos in Poipu. Kuhio Shores was my favorite because I could surf right out the back door, and when I wasn't surfing, I could watch the surf action while sitting inside the condo.
I like being on the ground floor the best because you don't feel "trapped" since you can walk right out onto the lawn, which you can't do on any other floor. The lawn makes it feels like you have your own personal backyard, just feet from the ocean. And if you have kids, they can run around on the grass to burn off energy.

We spent two weeks in this unit and loved every minute. The location was perfect for us. We have a 5 year old and a baby and the ground floor unit opening right onto a manicured lawn was a wonderful place to spend time. Our daughter ran up and down that lawn 1000 times. She walked down onto the rocks hunting for crabs and other sea life. My baby girl crawled all over and it was a nice break from her eating sand. We could also take the minute walk to Lawaii Beach for sand play and great snorkeling. We saw many sea turtles, a few whales, and monk seals. My husband and I surfed the wave right out front and it was so cool not to have to pack up the boards and the family to drive to a surfbreak. The sunset is spectacular and people come from all over to watch. There's great walking/jogging sidewalks and a shopping center within walking distance with some nice restaurants. Baby Beach is a short walk away too. We only went to the main beach at Poipu once because everything we desired was right in front of us! My only suggestion would be some nicer coffee mugs, more bowls, and access to extra linens and blankets. Other than that we felt so lucky to score great weather, good waves, and a family vacation full of wonderful memories. We have already talked about returning next year!

This was the perfect condo in Kuhio Shores. We have stayed and several of them in the past and have enjoyed this one the best! It is in the perfect spot on the ground floor. You can watch the whales and sunset from the condo! My husband loved it because he could walk to the surf break and I did not need to leave the condo to watch him surf. This was absolutely the perfect place to stay! I can't wait to stay here the next time we visit Kauai!

Hey Don, Our two weeks went by way too fast. We loved your remodel. All we can say is beautiful, beautiful, and more beautiful. My wife is already nagging me to remodel our kitchen like yours! The weather was perfect this year. We don't want to go home, knowing what the weather is like in Minnesota. We plan on staying for 3 weeks in 2012. Will be in touch.

This was the sixth time that we've stayed in your condo and it just keeps getting better year after year. Your remodel is great. We loved the new Kitchen Aid appliances. We cook a lot and the convection oven worked very well. The new Tommy Bahama beds were super comfy. My mother had the vacation of her life. We'll be back again next winter.

We knew by the pictures that your condo was beautiful, but we were shocked at how much nicer it was than what we expected. We absolutely fell in love with your condo and Kauai. I told several of my friends at work about your condo. They will be getting in touch with you. We will definitely be back.
