Enter a through a private gate and enjoy the exclusive use of this remodeled beach cottage and its surroundings. The living area is elevated one level and is surrounded by sensuous hibiscus flowers. The well appointed kitchen welcomes the ambitious gourmet with granite tile counters and upgraded appliances. Indoor dining accommodates four and outdoor dining accommodates six. The living area offers air-conditioned comfort, a flat panel TV and queen sleeper sofa. The large bedroom offers repose in a king bed and the second bedroom has a queen bed. Both bedrooms have dual pane windows, air-conditioning and top-quality linens. The home has a special safe for safe keeping of valuables.
The bottom level has covered parking for two vehicles, a barbeque area, outdoor dining/party area, storage for beach amenities, a laundry room and outdoor shower.
If you choose to stay home for an afternoon, the top floor lanai catches cool breezes and provides a perfectly private sun deck within arms reach of a chilled drink. The bottom level provides shade for a lazy afternoon read or a quick outdoor shower after a day at the beach. In the evening, take a short drive to watch the fabulous Bali Hai sunset and come home to your private hideaway surrounded by sensuous tropical fragrances. This upgraded vacation home is located on the corner of a residential cul-de-sac and the 2 lane road that runs a few miles to a glorious end at Kee Beach and the base of Makana (Bali Hai). And it is close to one of the area's top attractions: Tunnels Beach. Tunnels Beach is great for snorkeling and is named for the labrinth of underwater tunnels through the wide fringing reef sheltering a wide array of sea life.

The location of this beach-style cottage is in one of the most beautiful and special places in Hawaii and the world. Between the dramatic mountains and the white sand, there is a sliver of development which includes low density local and vacation homes. Kauai restricts the number of vacation homes in this area. Don't expect to see condominiums or commercial development. All of the nearby activities take advantage of the beauty that is the north shore of Kauai.

For the price of a resort condominium, you will enjoy a vacation home with private deck. There is not another rental on this corner, cul-de-sac lot. Enjoy one of Haena's more affordable vacation homes within a short walk to the beach. We live on Kauai and lovingly maintain and update this cottage. Guests give us positive feedback and we are happy to see them refer our vacation home to their friends.
