Why the Owner Chose Private Homes

While vacationing in Colorado in 2006, we casually looked at houses one day. We were not in the market to buy a home at that time, but wanted to someday and thought it would be a good time to start getting familiar with local real estate. Once we saw the view from the great room deck, however, we were hooked. My wife and I have traveled all over the world together and I can tell you that we have never seen a view like the one of Lake Dillon with the Ten Mile Range in the background. We knew right then and there that this would be our mountain home for many years.

The Unique Benefits at this House

The reason we chose to buy our home in Dillon are virtually endless, but the highlights are as follows: being very close to the lake, our home is on the bikepath that goes around the lake, we can walk to the Dillon amphitheatre for free concerts in the summer, Dillon is a quiet town with little traffic, and, of course, the skiing nearby is second to none.

Owner's Map of Private Homes

My wife and I grew up in Texas and Maryland, respectively, but we both learned to ski at young ages. We now live in Maryland, but are both outdoor enthusiasts and have fallen in love with the Colorado mountains due to the year-round outdoor activities. Whether it's skiing at 7 world class mountains, hiking the continental divide, sailing on Lake Dillon, or biking around the lake, Summit County, Colorado has it all. We spend as much time as we can at our mountain lodge, but enjoy making memories for others when we can't be there.

    • This large, well-appointed house exceeded our expectations. The comfortable furnishings and amenities are complemented by stunning lake and mountain views. We particularly appreciated the hot tub, gourmet kitchen, WiFi, Direct TV, steam shower in master bath, and audio speakers throughout the home. The owners have not overlooked a thing! The great room is perfect for relaxing or entertaining, with its large wet bar and gas fireplace. The walk-out basement is a great area for kids/teens with foosball, games, sofas and TV. It is centrally located near several CO ski resorts (five within about 30 minutes), and very close to shopping and restaurants. The owners are very accommodating and a pleasure to deal with. They considerately anticipate all your vacation needs and keep the house in immaculate condition. They truly care about this home and it shows. This luxury mountain lodge in Dillon is the perfect place to spend a vacation and to experience the splendors of mountain life in Colorado. We give it our HIGHEST recommendation.

    • We absolutely loved the time we spent at the home in Dillon. It is incredibly spacious, warmly decorated and stocked with all of the amenities you'd find in your own home (only better). . .We especially enjoyed the beautiful view from the hot tub on the deck! The home is conveniently located near a grocery/liquor and sporting goods store (5 minutes) and is within 15 minutes of world class skiing. The owner was great to deal with and was extremely accommodating. We enthusiastically recommend this home and hope to return in the near future!

    • What an incredible experience!!! We spent the week of July 4th 2007 in Dillon. The house far exceeded our expectations and the location was perfect for us to access all the fun summer activities of the area. Sean was great to work with and saw to it that the place was in perfect condition and was readily available to answer any questions we had. During our stay we had as many as 10 people stay in the property at one time and never felt cramped or a lack of privacy if needed. It is the perfect vacation home.

    • "We had a superb time in Dillon. This lodge is conveniently located to I-70, close to Keystone and near the bus route for Breckenridge. This house has all that we could possible need for a long weekend or a stay of any duration. The house is well appointed with lots of additional touches to make one feel immediately at home upon arrival. The owners are very courteous and accommodating--a pleasure to deal with. Overall, we couldn't ask for anything more!"

    • 5/5 Stars "This listing only scratches the surface of the magnificence of this house. The magic is in the details; from the steam function in the dual shower-head master bathroom, to the bar's ice maker and mini fridge. The custom work throughout the house is complimented by beautiful artwork and furniture. This house gives you the picturesque views all around it, but you will find yourself mesmerized with the house itself. The layout of the house comfortably accommodates 12 guests. The well stocked kitchen has everything you could need to eat in, but if you decide to eat out, we were very impressed with the Keystone Ranch restaurant (I would recommend making reservations). Sean Butson was an absolute pleasure to deal with and I highly recommend this property to any who seek luxurious accommodation for larger sized groups!"
