A luxurious and elegant new villa close to the pretty resort of Cala D'Or. Finca Ses Xiquetes is in a very private place, and surrounded by gardens, with lovely views across the countryside. Set back from the road, the house has been built in the tradition of Mallorcan farmhouse design - with stuccoed walls, and shuttered doors and windows. Inside, it's full of interesting spaces filled with light.
The rooms have high ceilings, white walls, tiled floors, and large windows making the most of the country views all around. The main living rooms are on the ground floor: a full-height hallway, a sleek new kitchen, a living area and a bathroom. The kitchen is really well-designed with high-spec new appliances including a dishwasher and a large fridge-freezer. It leads out to a shady covered terrace by the pool. The living and dining room is a lovely space with a wood-burning fireplace, and double-doors opening out onto a terrace at the front of the house.
There are four stylish and spacious bedrooms with elegant new furniture and linen. One is on the ground floor - a twin room with an en-suite shower bathroom. Up on the first floor there are three more bedrooms: a double and two twin rooms. The double room has an en-suite bathroom and one of the twin rooms has an en-suite shower room. There's also a family bathroom on the first floor. All the bathrooms in the house are brand new with modern fittings.
The gardens around the house make it really peaceful, relaxing and private. There's lots of lawn, edged by fruit trees, a gated driveway and a long terrace with a swimming pool and a special shallow pool for children.There is also a heated hot tub. There's a brick-built barbecue too, under the covered terrace. The house and the gardens look out over countryside to Cala D'Or itself, and across to the villages of Calonge and S'Horta, and to the mountains of Felanitx.
Finca Ses Xiquetes is a wonderful house for a really relaxing and memorable holiday. It's in a very pretty setting, on the edge of the countryside and surrounded by gardens. And it's also still very close to Cala D'Or which is a pretty seaside resort with lovely beaches, cafés, restaurants and shops. It's a very short drive away, or an easy walk in less than ten minutes.
