We had an amazing 11 nights in the condo. We were able to snorkle with turtles right across the street every morning and also see many beautiful fish. We watched the sunset every night from the Beach House restaurant lawn and enjoyed the pool at the condo. The location was excellent. The kitchen was excellent with enough space for all of the food we bought for the entire trip. The owners were extremely responsive and eager to help with anything needed. We would recommend this condo to anyone who is looking for an affordable place to stay in an excellent location. Thanks so much!!!

Thanks so much for the great place. We had a blast! The location was perfect it was just the unit I was looking for. The kids loved being able to catch geckos and frogs. We had two adults and two children, 10 and 8 years old. Yes the condo is on the smaller side being a studio but it handled us, no problem. The murphy bed is about full size, but it was big enough for two adults. The two kids slept on the futon, no problem. Two larger teens may not work as well. Plenty of towels. Clean. Good location. They just installed a new air conditioner in the unit and that worked well. You will hear roosters crowing at daybreak but Kauai is full of them anyway! :) If you are the type that prefers good value, a clean place, the basics (ability to cook some food, take a hot shower, fridge, etc) and central location this is a good choice. If you are like us you are not going to be in the room much anyway, right?

Recommended for:Age 55+, families with young children, romantic getaway.

Paradise - Wow had a GREAT TIME

I took my kids that were all teenageers to the island and we had a great time. We were all able to get into the condo and it was nice and clean. Julie did a great job of helping us with things to do on the island and guiding us around the island. We did just about everything from zip lining to snorkle and boogie boards. The condo is a great place to stay and it is just what we all needed. You must stay I recommend it THANKS MAHALO!!

Kauai is gorgeous; we needed another few days to get everything done we wanted to do. That being said, we will definitely be back! Your condo is excellently appointed; we appreciated all the extra supplies like the beach bag, beach towels and the cooler. The size of the condo was just right for the 2 of us. We ended up putting the mattress on the floor as we are bigger people and were kinda scared of the murphy bed. The mattress was super-comfortable though! The bathroom was nicely renovated, and clean. The kitchen was great, the pool was nice, the grounds were well-kept. We enjoyed having our rooster neighbors; they were fun to watch in the morning. The lanai was quiet and private and I thought the tiled mosaic floors inside and out were beautiful. The internet connection was perfect, we were able to Skype our kids a couple of times which was great. Thanks again for providing such great accomodations. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming back!

I was looking for a Pack & Play and the Julie at the the condo found this site for me. They really go above just a rental of the condo we were able to rent the pack and play and at a good rate. Thanks again Julie I did ask and the condo association does not have anything to rent but I found this website this may help you with the request http://www.thenewparentsguide.com/baby-equipment-rentals-hawaii.htm. It is so nice to be able to search for things and find them on the internet and help you out. Let me know if it works for you so that I can offer it for others.

There is NO WAY that 4 people could stay in this condo comfortably. Not to mention that is the most uncomfortable bed I have ever attempted to sleep on. A simple trip to Costco for a memory foam mattress pad would do wonders for everyone who rents that place. I couldn't find any 'sandy' beaches within walking distance... certainly not across the street. 'Almost beachfront' doesn't even come close. I know there is nothing anyone can do about the Roosters that crow all morning, however a warning would have been greatly appreciated. Part of our ideal vacation is getting to rest & sleep in, which was impossible with the Roosters right outside the door of the unit. They made noise before the sun even came up and continued for hours. Between that & the horribly uncomfortable bed, we couldn't wait to get to Oahu. We were instructed to obtain a parking pass immediately upon arrival, however there was no one in the office. We later found out we were supposed to just sign in, and take a parking permit. More informative instructions would have made that easier. FYI that is not covered parking. The unit did have extra sunscreen & aloe which was appreciated after a day in the sun. My fiance made the reservations, and that was a very easy process, and they were very prompt on returning the deposit.

Owner response:As the owner of the condo I would like to respond to the above comments. We have a full sized be and a futon that we can sleep 4 total. It is at your discression if they are adults or kids. The mattress has been replace and new towels have been added to the condo. The beach that is right across the street is wonderful and sandy it is right next to the Beach House resturant and you can see it in the photos of the condo. As for the Roosters well that is part of the island. We the owners have stayed in the condo and several other places on the island and this by far has been the best place that we have stayed no we are not a 4 star but we can give you a Hawaii vacation for a great rate. The condo is clean and is all tiled with granite counter tops the pool is all redone and ready for guests I hope that you will join us and not let one negative review stop you from coming. We recently stayed in a studio condo with a full kitchen, nicely equiped which made our stay very easy. As we were looking for a home to purchase, the location of the condo gave us easy access to the southern end of Kauai as well as the southern east side. We are just sorry we did not have time to really enjoy the beach.. The only little lapse was that the specific directions to the place were difficult in the dark... and there were no specific instructions for closing up the condo when were were leaving. We certainly will consider using Home Stay again when we are closer to our move.

We stayed in the condo for our honeymoon. For us, it was great to stay here as opposed to a much more expensive resort. There is so much to see and do in Kauai, you will not spend that much time in your hotel anyway. Because we had the kitchen, we were able to buy food and make most of our own meals (also saved some money). Only thing I would say is that it does not have much of an ocean view, and the facility had construction going on when we were there. Also, the description says 4 people. I think it would be very tight for 4 people, perfect for 2 though. Overall, the condo itself has everything you would need for a week. And the area, Poipu, has some of the most beautiful beaches in the world.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Good location near the snorkling beaches. Restaurant accross the street (next to the beach). VERY nice tile-floor!! But two things have bothered us a little. TV location is horrible. Maybe time for a lcd-tv!?! Second, the general information is missing al together. Not in the studio, not at a managers office. All we could do was leave our licenceplate# on a peace of paper to ensure a parkingpermit. (Most of the time we had to park out on the street because the lot was full). One day before we had to leave another tennant told us that it was allowed to park in the garage under the building next door. But overal we enjoyed staying there for the whole week and will certainly recommend to to others.

Just finished a 7 night stay in Jan. 09 and loved it. Although it seemed small at first, we realized it is 3X the size of our motorhome. Nice tile work (I loved the designs on the floor), full kitchen w/new cabinets & granite. I loved that we could park in the garage and you were just steps from the door. Many pretty flowers & plants on the property. Our very favorite thing was walking across the street to watch the sunset each evening. We talked to many other tourists most nights. It was a hoot to watch the inauguration with chickens crowing in the background. I figured we paid for a week what people paid for one night at the Hyatt, and we could fix a full breakfast in our room. Highly recommend. Yes! Judy & Larry from Colorado

The location is great and so is the place. It's very private with nothing but fantastic greenery when you look out the back patio. Very quiet, easy parking, A/C if you need it (in winter you don't), and friendly owners. Overall great experience.

We stayed for 2 nights at the end of May and had a great time. The value for the condo was excellent and we enjoyed how clean and organized the condo was. Trudy was very organized and made renting from her very easy and efficient. The location and quality of the building are very nice and if you are look for an inexpensive but nice place to stay this is a great choice!

The unit was efficient, well equipped and clean. It's the perfect getaway where you can just kick back in the condo, lounge by a tropical pool/ barbeque area or walk across the street to a fantastic restaurant/sunbathe or snorkel on the beach. My husband and I highly recommend that everyone contact Trudy to book this retreat.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the prince Kuhio in Poipu Kauai. It was a nice convenient place. The best snorkeling on the island is right there.

Two of us stayed for 2 nights at this condo. The location is great - just across the street from the beach and beach house restaurant. Although the condo is small, it is tastefully decorated and includes many amenities.

Our 2 week stay at your Poipu condo was terrific, the condo is filled with so many upgrades and thoughful touches, and the beds are comfy too! We had NO walkbys which made it feel very private, the 1st floor location with the lanai leading out to Prince Kuhio park was just incredible, our own slice of paradise! The grounds are beautiful and very well maintained. We had the pool to ourselves most days. Fabulous snorkeling, a kids beach, and surfing right across the street at 3 different beaches. so many great things within walking distance or a really short drive, we hope to stay here for a month next year, thank you for sharing your condo with us.
