Casa Paloma is centrally located in the most desirable part of town, Centro, in the sub neighborhood of Ojo de Agua, on a quiet cul-de-sac, composed of colonial homes designed by the best architects in town. It is a flat 6 minute walk to Parque Juarez, the largest park in San Miguel, and 15 minutes to the Jardin, the central plaza. The primary shopping street, Ancha de San Antonio, and the Instituto Allende Art Institute are a 10 minute walk.
This charming, light, colorful, and gracious floor plan features, on the first floor, a large, stunning central patio with fountain and weeping wall, and an electric sliding glass roof, which allows natural light to flood into all of the rooms, and gives you the ability to regulate the air flow and elements at will. Also facing the central patio is a master bedroom suite including a queen size bed with a body contouring mattress, large bathroom with whirlpool tub, separate shower, and two sinks, fireplace, and an enormous closet, the living-dining room with fireplace and wrought iron chandelier, and a well appointed kitchen with all new appliance. Also on the firts floor is the guest bathroom, laundry room, and garage with electric garage door opener.
Ascending the curving staircase past an oval window, you arrive in the family room equipped with television, internet service, a Vonage telephone for free calls to the US, and leather sofa bed. Two additional bedrooms, one with fireplace, each sleep two and feature their own terraces with wonderful views. One beautifully tiled bathroom serves this floor. The third level reveals a large terrace with magnificent views of the center of town, five churches, and all of San Miguel.
The home is a feast for the senses with warm tones of paint, wrought iron rails, Mexican style light fixtures and mirrors, columns, all wood cabinets and doors, artistic tile, terra cotta floors, and luscious landscaping with bougainvillea and local plants.
Maid service three times a week is included. She can also cook for you (extra charge).
