This condo was perfect for our family of 4. Comfortable, clean and it had everything we needed down to the snorkels and boogie boards. We loved being busy most of the day and coming back to the condo to rest, have a glass of wine and head to the hot tub. Of course, the kids loved the pool -- I think they went in every day. Staying in Princeville was convenient for all our activities along with being close to the grocery store. I would highly recommend this condo!
Owner response:Aloha Chip, Rene, & Kids! Your Spring break and Easter turned out to be just what your family was looking for during your Kauai trip. We were happy that you found our condo and made it your "home-away-from-home" for the 12 days in Princeville. It's wonderful that you had the time to enjoy so many fun activities that you wrote about in your email to us. Plus, you visited the beautiful beaches, relaxed, and even took time out for some massage. Now that's the way to spend a great vacation!! Mahalo for your business! :0) Jeff & Mo

We stayed at Jeff and Mo's Condo for 10 wonderful days at the beginning of April. The condo was clean and decorated nicely. We loved sitting on the lanai and having a beautiful view of Plantations. We liked being so close to the pool also. Our son (7 years old) loved having his own room. We spent a lot of out time in Kauai at Tunnels Beach. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, are hoping to come back next year, and would love to stay in this condo again! Thank you, Jeff and Mo, for providing such a fantastic place to stay!

Absolutely loved the property and the location to everything on the north shore of Kauai. Property was extremely clean, well laid out, ample cooking supplies, amenities and easy to find. We loved the neighborhood it was located in and found several secluded beaches within walking distance. Highly recommended, and hope to come back and stay again here some time. Jeff and Mo are a pleasure to work with and made the rental experience very enjoyable!
Owner response:Jeff and I were glad to have you as our guests so that you could explore the beautiful north side of Kauai. What's not to love about it, right Abbie? It's wonderful to hear that you enjoyed it so much. :) Aloha, Mo

Upon seeing this condo on our arrival, we must say that it far exceeded our expectations. The photos cannot capture its attractiveness or comfort. Our month long stay in this beautiful condo was wonderful. It is situated so that the trade winds breeze through creating a feeling of outdoor living. We never once had to use the air conditioning. The beds are comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped. The pool side gas grill is a big plus. And the attached garage makes it easy to unload groceries or load beach items. It’s nice that your car stays cool not having to sit out in the sun. A small gym is just a few minutes’ walk from your lanai. The Foodland market is a five minute drive, located in the Princeville shopping center. This condo has it all. If we stay on the North Shore again, we certainly will give Mo & Jeff a call.
Owner response:Mahalo to you, your wife, and daughter. Obviously based on your review, Gerald, our condo suited you well. That's exactly why we decided to buy at the Plantations: We love the spacious floor plan of the 2 bed / 2 bath unit, and the location is convenient to the town of Princeville for shopping, banking, getting gas, etc. Yet it's also close to the most beautiful beaches on the island. If you decide to visit the north shore of Kauai again, please do call us. You're welcome back anytime you want to escape the chilly winters of Ohio. Aloha! ~ Mo and Jeff ~

We had the best time in Kauai, and this condo was the icing on the cake. The condo itself is beautiful, and the location is perfect. It is right in the heart of Princeville, and you are a short driving distance from Hanalei and Kapaa. This was our second time to Kauai but the first time we stayed in a condo. When we go back from now on, we will reserve this condo. It is a beautiful and spacious 2 bedroom/2 bath. It was very clean and well kept. We enjoyed our meals out on the lanai everyday. There is a grill at the pool where we were able to cook out at night. We loved having a garage as well which is stocked with beach gear. Jeff and Mo were so easy to work with. They were so organized and made renting a condo so easy. They provided us with detailed information about check in, driving directions, and everything we needed. It was such a seamless process. Also, a huge binder of information is provided in the condo. It gives suggestions for activities, dining, shopping, etc. There are so many fun activities to do in and around Princeville. Our first time to Princeville a year ago, we went zip lining at Princeville Ranch. It was a blast! This trip we went on a couple of hikes. We really enjoyed the Hanalei 'Okolehao Trail. It's a 2 mile hike up hill. The effort is worth it because the view at the top is amazing. You can see 1/5 of Kauai from this location. We hiked a small part of the Kalalau Trail as well. We also spent time walking around the towns of Kapaa and Hanalei. Kalypso is a good restaurant for brunch or lunch in Hanalei. We literally ran out of time to do everything we wanted. We can't wait to return!
Owner response:Aloha Jen and Ben, Mahalo for submitting your wonderful review. Your time on Kauai was certainly well organized so that you could enjoy it to the fullest. We're really glad that you enjoyed all your activities, especially the hiking. Hopefully you got some great "photo ops" too. :) We hope that by splitting up your vacation time between Poipu and Princeville, you were able to maximize your FUN in Kauai. We particularly love to hear that you thought our condo was the "icing on the cake" to top off your AMAZING experience. We certainly appreciate your business; So just let us know when you plan to return to Kauai and we will be glad to reserve our condo for you again. Mo and Jeff

What a beautiful condo!! Enjoyed the pool, hot tub and workout facilities. It was well furnished and tastsefully decorated. We enjoyed visiting sites in the area including the caves, light house and the beaches. Our highlight was Ziplining at Princeville Ranch! We joined the locals for the atmosphere and food at Tahiti Nui's. Other restaurants in the area are the Fish House (enroute to the lighgthouse) and Postcards (very good food but a little pricey). The owners provided us with plenty of information to make our stay memorable. Having memu's of retaurants from the area in the condo was very helpful. This condo is ideal for two couples or a family of 4 to 5.
Owner response:Mahalo for your nice review and especially for your business Richard. We enjoy renting our condo to people like you who appreciate our property and the work we've put into making this a great rental. We're also glad that you were able to take in so many of the local attractions, like the ziplining and that you had time to visit the Kilauea Lighthouse, the caves, and all the beautiful beaches on the north shore. Please call us again whenever you would like to return to Princeville. Aloha, Jeff & Mo

We came to Kauai for a wedding and stayed at Jeff and Mo's condo. We were extremely pleased that the condo looks even nicer than the photos online. Everything was clean and worked perfectly. The master bath was huge and it was great to be able to put everything away and make ourselves at home. We had coffee/breakfast every morning on the patio where it was always quiet. We enjoyed the pool on several occassions and almost always had it to ourselves. We were pleased to see all the tourist information that had been gathered in a notebook and left for our use including menus and restaurant recommendations. This was a great central location to a lot of sites and adventures. The ziplines at Princeville Ranch were a blast, Queens bath is extremely close ( make sure to check the tide tables). Tunnels beach was wonderful for snorkeling, we were lucky enough to encounter a large sea turtle. Our friends got married on Anini beach which was also beautiful. Thank you Mo for all the information you provided prior to our visit and how simple you made this trip for us. When we decide to come back to Kauai you will definitely hear from us again.
Owner response:Aloha Tracy and Russ, Jeff and I are glad that everything worked out for you so perfectly and that your friends' wedding on Anini Beach was beautiful! :) It's great that you were able to take full advantage of the nearby fun activities, to include the zip lining! Also, it's nice to hear that you used the resources that we have compiled in our "Kauai Notebook" to assist you in selecting your activities and the restaurants to enjoy during your stay. Hopefully your friends, Amanda and Garick, who had postponed this particular trip, will be able to join you again next time in the near future. Mahalo again for your business! Mo and Jeff

Dear Mo and Jeff, We just wanted to let you know that our second stay at your beautiful Plantation was even more enjoyable than the first time we stayed at your place last year. Since we had prepared ourselves better, and by the way, we used a lot of the information that you included in the large "Welcome to Kauai" binder that you put together at the condo, we saved time and money. We planned our trips ahead of time and booked the tours on-line as you suggested, which was great. You were right; the Zip-Lining in Princeville was AMAZING; we all had such great fun doing it! No matter what we did, whether it was an adventurous day of sightseeing, tours, or just hangin' out on the most gorgeous beaches in all of Hawaii, it was so nice to be able to get back to your condo to relax and rejuvenate. We also made good use of the new patio set that you got for the lanai. It was the ideal place to sit and chill-out after a long day or to enjoy the sunrise and our morning coffee each day. We also appreciate the beautiful new art work, decoration, and painting that was done since we visited last year. All these minor additions that you've done truly give your Plantation a "Home-away-from-Home" feeling. We love Kauai and we love your condo. So I guess it won't be any surprise to you when we call again when we plan to return to this paradise. Thank you so much for sharing it with us. We are so glad that we discovered your listing. Until next year . . . Aloha and Mahalo! Tim and family
Owner response:Aloha Tim and Sue! It was fantastic to have you as our guests for a second time and it's nice to hear that you had another wonderful vacation in Kauai. Thank you for your compliments. We truly appreciate your input and value your repeat business. We're glad that you found our HomeAway listing also. We look forward to helping you plan your next trip to Kauai in 2012 and having you stay at our condo next summer. ;-) Mahalo, Mo and Jeff

We really enjoyed our stay at your beautiful condo in Princeville. It's a great location that is close to all the North Shore sites. The condo is so comfortable and roomy. What a great value for such a beautiful vacation home. The kitchen was well stocked. We enjoyed our coffee and breakfast on the patio each morning. The birds would visit the patio with us each morning. The pool and spa are only steps away from the condo. The bedrooms and bathrooms are very roomy. The entire condo was decorated beautifully. We enjoyed the artwork in each room. The garage had all you will need for a day at the beach. We were very pleased with your condo and hope to visit again soon. Mo was very helpful with information about Kauai. Mo and Jeff went out of their way to ensure we enjoyed our stay at their home. Don't miss out on a trip to Hideaway Beach (entrance at the St. Regis) and Queens Bath. Both locations are very close to the condo. We really enjoyed the Laua at the Mediterreran Gourmet restaurant, Capt. Andy's Sunset Cruise, Wings Over Kauai, Kilauea Lighthouse, Hanalei Bay, Ke'e Beach, Waimea Canyon, Riding a bike on the Coconut Coast Path, Lunch at Scotty's BBQ on the Coconut Coast, Kayak of Kauai for a Kayak trip down the river to the Ocean, and dinner at the Makena Terrace (St Regis hotel). Thanks again Jeff and Mo. As you leave Kauai, you will see a sign, "Goodbye until we meet again" We miss Kauai already and hope to visit again. The North Shore is certainly the most beautiful part of Kauai. Lisa Kinney
Owner response:Aloha Lisa, Ernest, & Julie :) Wow!~You sure packed a lot of activities into your 9 day stay. We realize that it is a long way for you to come from Florida to spend your vacation in Kauai, but it sounds like you enjoyed every minute of it ... at least once you landed on Kauai. So it's not surprising to hear that you're all missing Kauai already. However, we hope it won't be long before you do "meet again" in Kauai for another beautiful vacation experience! We really enjoyed our stay at your condo. It was very nice and comfortable and had everything we needed during our stay. We enjoyed sitting on the lanai and watching all of the different birds and listening to the palms sway in the breeze. Two of favorite places to eat: CJ's in the Princeville Market, great prime rib and delicious fish (Ono) the other was Duanes Ono Char Broiled Burgers, best hamburger ever (we ate there twice)!! We enjoyed our "Zip & Dip" excursion at the Princeville Ranch and we would highly recommend the Napoli coast tour with Holo Holo cruises. We went on the sunset dinner cruise that lasted approximately 4.5 hrs, had a delicious dinner and a champagne toast at sunset! The captain and crew were great making sure everyone had whatever they wanted to drink, (beer, wine, sodas) and the captain shared many interesting facts about the coastline. We visited several beaches and enjoyed watching the surfers try to catch the "perfect wave". Thanks for sharing your condo with us and thanks for all the information you provided for our trip. The book you have in the condo was very helpful! Our only complaint is we wish we could have stayed longer! Mahalo :)
Owner response:Dear Sandy and Mike, Jeff and I sure hope that you had a fabulous time celebrating your 20th wedding anniversary in Kauai. The sunset dinner cruise was a perfect way to toast to your successful marriage of 20 years. ~ Congrats again!! :D I enjoyed talking to you after you arrived on Kauai and hearing the excitement in your voices. This never ceases to amaze me: The way the "Aloha Spirit" creates such blissful ambiance for those who visit this incredible island. Mahalo Nui! Mo and Jeff

We stayed at this condo in August, 2011. It was beautiful and very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked. It had an attached garage that was a bonus! The location of the condo was perfect for our trip. We loved the North Shore area. The owners had a binder of information that was very helpful. They were also wonderful to work with. The condo was very clean and well maintained. The master bedroom and bath were huge! The beds were comfortable. We loved the "frosty" frozen fruit treats at Banana Joes. The beaches on the North Shore were beautiful. We would recommend this condo and Princeville without hesitation.
Owner response:Mahalo for your business Lesley and Lyle. :) It was nice to have you and your children as our guests for your family vacation. Mahalo for your kind review and recommendation. Please keep our contact information for your future plans to return to Kauai! Best Regards, Mo

This has to be the best deal in vacation renting for the money I have ever come across. I found this to be more than described. Slept 5 very comfortable. Very clean and in excellent condition. The overall property is highly maintained also.Located in a very upscale neighborhood in Princeville.Morning coffe on the lanai and walking the neighborhood will really be missed. Out our front door was hibiscus flowers as big as my hand! Very nice ammenities and the kitchen had everything we needed. Having a garage was terrific. It was so nice not having to haul things in and out of your car, especially beach items! Mo and Jeff were very informative and had great recommendations for our family. Just 3 minutes buy car from a small scale shopping plaza, but on the other side of the golf course. Excellent location, with a short 8 minute walk you can be out on a bluff over looking the ocean to catch the sunset.I am all ready trying to plan my next trip here and I just got home yesterday! I will recommend this to every friend and family I know without reservation.I would give it eleven stars if I could! It's that good
Owner response:Aloha John, It's great that you all enjoyed your 9 day stay in Princeville. You're certainly not alone when you say that you miss this beautiful place already, and that you are making plans to return to Kauai so soon just after you arrived back home. Also, we'd be happy to provide any information about our Plantation condo rental to your other family members and friends. ;-) Mahalo for your business and for your "unsolicited" excellent review! Your condo is perfect. Not only is it comfortable but it has all that one would need to enjoy the island. It is also decorated very nicely and clean. We used the cooler many days, packing a lunch or when purchasing groceries. We loved walking around the Princeville area...such beauty. The beaches are great with my personal favorite Ke' e. My husband did the 4 mile hike from that point and I stayed on the beach and snorkled. Lovely.... Had dinner at Bouchen's in Hanalei and it was delicious! Isihara Grocery in Waimea has wonderful fish and poke. Koloa Rum in the Kilohana Plantation is a fun place to visit and the rum is great and made on Kauai. I would definitely recommend your condo to others and will return in the future.
Owner response:Aloha Jackie and Steve, Based on your review, your 8 day trip must have flown by. We are glad that you had a great time on your vacation, and we hope that these fun times during your trip to Kauai and celebrating your 25th Anniversary in this tropical paradise will be memorable. Congrats again and Mahalo for your business. Please do come again! Mo and Jeff

Best private rental we have ever had in Hawaii--not the typical cheaply furnished an worn out place you usually find in this price range. It is clean and new with all one needs included. Will likely stay there again.

I found myself saying this over and over again. So did my sister and brother-in-law who stayed with us too. It worked perfect for both of us to stay here. We had our own space and felt very comfortable staying here together. I'm so glad we found this condo for our Kauai stay. It was clean, well maintained, open and light. I felt like we had so much space. The master bedroom/bath were spacious and had everything we needed - including a blow dryer WITH a diffuser and iron too. The living room/kitchen were awesome for breakfast in the morning and a quick lunch or dinner. It was such a bonus to be so close to the hot tub too! What a perfect way to end each day. We were super close to Queen's Bath, Hideaways Beach and shopping too. Queen's Bath was beautiful - an easy hike and stunning scenery. Hideaways Beach was amazing and quickly became my favorite spot for snorkeling - the hike down is tricky but well worth it. Food-land is just around the corner and we went there regularly we even got a few souvenirs there. Thanks for providing such an amazing condo for a fun relaxing vacation!
Owner response:Aloha and Mahalo Cindy! You're absolutely right.-- The floorplan in our condo is just perfect for two couples. Quite often we have had friends and family members stay with us when we are on-island, and it works out beautifully as the condo provides plenty of space and privacy for 4 or 5 people. We are happy that it worked out so well for you and your friends too! I had to laugh at Kendal's review when he said that our condo was. . . . "not the typical cheaply furnished and worn out place you usually find in this price range." We were a little surprised to read this, but I guess not as surprised as he was to find that we really do offer a great deal for a very nice condo rental. ;-) Thanks so much again for being great guests! We really enjoyed the condo. The kids frequented the pool every afternoon. It was great having the condo so close and the ground floor made access so much easier. We've stayed at several other places in the area on previous trips and appreciated the cleanliness and amenities with this condo. The beaches on this side of the island are so much fun - great snorkeling, easy access, and not too many people. The only additions/changes that would be nice would be an additional BBQ or two for the complex and additional/different shades for the windows for blocking light and providing privacy (especially for the master bedroom and bathroom). We would definitely go back to this condo again.
Owner response:Aloha Alyson, Jason, and family! It was great to have you as our guests and we'd be happy to have you return again. We're glad that you, as well as the kids, enjoyed the condo and the Plantations' facilities and had a lot of fun visiting the beaches on the north shore. Dear Mo and Jeff, My husband and I had a wonderful stay and we enjoyed everything about your condo. From the time we walked into the door and unloaded our bags, we told ourselves, "We definitely made the right choice to stay here!" -- Your condo is AWESOME!!!! ;-) Mo, you were so helpful to send us a lot of information about your beautiful Plantation and excellent websites to plan our trip. Since my husband's and my birthdays are in the same month of April, we decided to celebrate with a special trip to Kauai this year. It was our first time to the island and we loved it, loved it! Your condo is so comfortable and well-equipped with everything we needed to have this "dream vacation." In addition, we received exceptional customer service, which is something we value greatly: Not only was Maureen responsive to answering all my questions, but she also was professional, friendly, and so accommodating. For example, when I sent an email to request an early check-in since our flight was arriving in the morning, within a few minutes Mo got back to me to make it possible. Our only regret was that we couldn’t stay longer at this beautiful place. When we weren’t out exploring the island, checking-out so many of the amazing north shore beaches, and swimming and snorkeling, we also enjoyed just “chillin-out” by the pool or on the lanai with our morning Kauai Coffee and in the evening with our Mai Tais, taking in the beautiful landscape. The location of the condo within the complex is excellent, being on the ground floor about 45 feet of the pool and spa, and only a short distance from the work-out facility as well. We had a marvelous stay and I certainly feel like I "left my heart in Princeville, Kauai.” So I'm sure you won’t be surprised when I call you back to claim it, and ask if we can stay at your lovely condo again – hopefully soon! Thanks for everything, Erica from San Clemente
Owner response:Erica and James, It sounds like this trip to Kauai was definitely a special birthday treat, and one that you will both remember for a long time. We were happy to help you out and have you as our guests for this extraordinary birthday celebration. ;-) Being partial to Kauai ourselves, we can relate to your desire to go back to spend more time here on the island. ~ Just let us know when you're getting ready to return and we'll do our best to make that happen for you! There isn't enough we can say about how wonderful this place is--very well equipped with everything we needed, nicely furnished, close enough to pool and hot tub for our evening visits, not on the main road so very quiet, and close to the store for those early morning trips for the chocolate croissant fix. The condo was spotless and everything we'd hoped for. If you want relaxation and convenience, this is the place. We snorkeled in several places close to the condo and visited gardens, beaches and of course the local bars and restaurants. Don't miss Sunday brunch at The Westin--it was awesome. Our favorite place to be while staying here was on the lanai--drink in hand, just vegging out, or in the hot tub, again with drink in hand, vegging out. Our favorite island in Hawaii, and now our favorite place to stay on Kauai.
Owner response:Aloha Rich and Susan and friends, We enjoyed reading your review! Hey, that's what a vacation is all about: Total enjoyment -- Good fun, good food, relaxation, and enjoying the beautiful surroundings. Originally on my stay on Kauai, I was at a hotel on the coconut coast, and there is no comparison. This unit is very large and bright; clean and lots of rooooom. It turned around what was going to be a so-so holiday, into a very good one. And the price was certainly right !
Owner response:Andrew, When we first got your call from the Kappa area where you were staying at the hotel and heard that you wanted to make a move to our condo up north, we weren't sure if we could make that happen so quickly. Although, it all worked out and we are happy that our condo offered you a much more comfortable stay, allowing you to truly enjoy your holiday! We're very glad that you looked us up on-line. Please don't hesitate to call on us next time you're searching for "Lots of Rooooooom" and more comfy accommodations. Aloha! ~ Mo

Princeville is a wonderful area of Kauai - peaceful, beautiful - the condo more than met our expectations. The grounds were lush and well looked after, our condo had tons of room and we especially liked the garage - easy to bring in our golf clubs, luggage, etc. We really enjoyed spending time in Hanalei - a wonderful area with cute little shops and great restaurants (& some pretty darn good mai tai's too!) You definitely need a car on this island though as some of the best sights are 45 minutes to 2 hours away - but that's all part of the adventure, right? Definitely do the Napali cruise, Wamaia Canyon, nearby beaches and golf, golf, golf. Kountry Kitchen in Kapaa was awesome for breakfast and we really loved Hukalai Lanai as our fave dining spot. Nearby Tavern Restaurant was really fabulous too. Thanks Mo and Jeff for a very memorable holiday!
Owner response:Aloha Laurie and Glen, We're glad that you had a memorable trip! It's wonderful that you and Glenn were able to take two weeks with your good friends, Laurie and Garrett, and enjoy such a fun-filled vacation. The four of you definitely packed in a lot of interesting and entertaining activities during your stay in Kauai. It's great that you had the opportunity to check-out the Waimea Canyon and Napali coast also. Any time you want to escape the cold winter of Canada again . . . just give us a call. Jeff and I would be glad to have you return to our Plantation and welcome you back to our "little piece of Heaven." :) Mahalo, Mo

Aloha Jeff and Mo -- We have to say your condo was not what we expected, but rather it was far SUPERIOR than any of the condos or townhouses we have rented before. This was the first time we used VRBO and because we had such a great experience with renting Jeff and Mo's condo we will definitely use VRBO again since our family loves to travel. The Kleinfelter's condo was the perfect place for us to stay on the north shore of Kauai. Their condo still feels like new. It was clean and super comfortable for our family of 5. It was nice to have the extra futon sofa sleeper for our daughter to sleep on. The furnishings were high quality, the condo was beautifully decorated, and it was very well stocked. During our 5 day stay at Jeff and Mo's condo we kept very busy every day, but we definitely want to come back since our time there was way too short. We enjoyed golfing, especially at The Prince course which was quite a challenge. Our beach time was enjoyable too as we found many perfect places to swim and clear, calm areas to snorkel inlcuding Anini and Ke'e Beaches. Also, we used Mo's notebook which was helpful in choosing some of our other activities, such as ziplining and horse back riding that we coordinated with Princeville Ranch Adentures. This vacation was definitely one that we'll remember as "fun-filled" and "above and beyond" our expectations. Thank you so much for all your help in planning this trip Jeff and Mo. Yes, we would not hesitate to recommend your condo to friends and relatives . . . we actually already have given many of them your contact information. And, yes, you can count on us to pay you a visit again in the near future since we fell in love with Kauai and your condo was EXCELLENT! Dede & Cal
Owner response:Mahalo Dede and Cal for your kind words. After reading your review it would appear that you tried to pack a lot of fun activities into a short trip . . . and you were pretty successful at it. However, you're absolutely right: Anything less than a week is not really enough time to fully appreciate your stay . . . But we're glad that you were able to make the most of it. Mahalo also for your recommendations. We truly appreciate your business and would welcome your friends and family also. :) Aloha ~ Jeff and Mo

We had such a wonderful time staying in Princeville at Mo and Jeff's condo in the Plantation! Mo and Jeff made our experience so pleasant, as they had wonderful follow-up and customer service! The condo was immaculate, beautiful, roomy, and so comfortable! Really has everything you need! We spent many nights cooking on the grill and chilling out on their lanai! Our days were filled with relaxation and exploration. We saw much of the Kauai, but I have to say, I find the North Shore to be one of the most beautiful. Princeville was very nice! We were a short walk from a view of Bali Hai, Rainbow Eucalyptus trees (my favorite) and Queens Bath! Also a quick drive to one of the best surfing towns in Kauai - Hanalei. A beautiful winding and twisting drive along the coast past taro fields and a over a scenic iron bridge. We loved Hanalei!!!! Can't say it enough...cute shops, hawaiian shaved ice, restaurants, a nice walking beach, and plenty of water activities! We hope to return in the coming years to the Plantation, we wish we could have stayed forever!
Owner response:Dear Jen and Seth, You packed a lot of fun into a relatively short trip.-- A week's stay goes by quickly when you're so busy and having a great time on your vacation, doesn't it? No worries, however, you can always come back for more since we enjoy sharing this "Gem" of ours with our friends, old and new. :) Forever is a long time, but the nice thing is that it will give you lots to look forward to! Mahalo, take care, and please keep in touch. Mo

We stayed for a month in Mo and Jeff's Condo. It was everything and more than the pictures and description showed. Beautifully decorated and immaculate! The location in the complex was perfect for us, close to pool for a dip, or a run up to the BBQ. The kitchen had everything! We only ate out once for our anniversary! Having a garage was over the top especially packing up the car when there was rain! You won't believe the size of the Master bathroom!! We visit Kauai at least once every year and usually stay down on the East side where we once lived, but wanted to work on photo's for North Shore this year so decided on Princeville. Because we have lived there we weren't really doing the usual tourist activities. I did join a halau (hula school) every Tuesday at 7p up at the Church of the Pacific to keep up on my basics, they invite beginners to drop in for $10.00. We also attended the little church down in Hanalei, Wai'oli Hui'ia Church, and on Weds. I went down and practiced ukulele, then stayed to practice hymns in Hawaiian. It is open to everyone! One of our favorite activities was towards late afternoon, we would take the ice chest (provided) refreshments and pupu's (snacks) and go down to Hanalei pier. Drive the car down on the sand, set up the beach chairs (provided) take a dip, watch the surfers, or just take in the beauty of the island as the sun went down. Another favorite beach on that side during winter (and summer) is Anini. The Park is nice and very safe for swimming and snorkling, but we liked to go on a little further and park on the side of the road and would have a stretch of beach almost to ourselves. Renting this condo was so easy! The owners more than gracious! *They happened to be on island when we were there and wanted to come by to set up the new futon. They were worried that they would bother us, and so considerate of not getting in our way! Unfortunatley our paths did not cross, we went one way, as they came the other, but would have loved to have met them! We are spoiled now, it will be hard to find anything comparable for the price on the Eastside, so next year......Oh well you can never take enough photo's of the beauty of North Shore! Mahalo nui loa, Rees and Jenny
Owner response:Aloha "Aunty Keala"! You might not be surprised when I tell you that we just got an inquiry from a couple that you know who are interested in renting our condo in September. That was nice of you to give them a referral to check with us to see if we could help them out with their accomodations. Mahalo, not only for being great guests yourselves but also for sending us more business. We really appreciate it! <3 Mo

Beautiful clean condo. Affordable, which allows one to do other things you may not be able to afford if you stay at a pricey hotel. Beds were very comfortable. Handy location to the most beautiful beaches in Kauai. All the amenities + in that of a luxury hotel, but felt like home. Thanks Mo & Jeff! Pat from Boston
Owner response:Mahalo "Pat from Boston!" Jeff and I are glad that you had a chance to visit Kauai for the first time and that you decided to rent our condo. Hopefully it will not be your last trip to this wonderful Island, as it sounds like you may want to return again some day. If that is the case, and we would hope that you will have the time to stay a little longer than 6 days next time so that you can thoroughly enjoy Kauai, please don't hesitate to call us again. You've got our numbers. :) Aloha, Mo and Jeff

This was a perfect vacation for our first visit to Kauai. We were in Princeville on the very beautiful North Shore of Kauai and we took advantage of every perfect sunny day filled with cool breezes from the trade winds. Stunning beaches are within minutes, remarkable hiking is right around the corner and gorgeous vistas are at every turn. We all could not have asked for anything more and our hosts had a beautiful condiminium for us to call home for the week. Thank you for everything Maureen and Jeff, we will be back!
Owner response:Mahalo Mary! As I said to you in a recent email, "What's not to love about Kauai?" ~ The beauty of the north shore of Kauai is an easy place to become enchanted with the surroundings. Well, maybe you could have done without the local roosters, but they even grow on you after awhile. A week here is really just not enough time to fully take in everything that this area has to offer . . . but it always tempt you to want to come back for more. Please do call us again the next time you plan to return. We were happy to have you as our guests at our Plantation / condo. Mo and Jeff

The condo is a large, 2 bedroom with all the mod coms. I must say, it was the prefect base for a absolutely wonderful vacation. There complex has a pool, workout room and jacuzzi. The unit itself is very nice, furnished with lovely furniture and the beds are super comfortable. We traveled to the Big Island and stayed in a hotel and I could not wait to get back to the condo! There are area around the condo is stunning, the north coast of Kauai is beautiful. How much did I like Kauai and the condo? I plan on going back next summer and will stay at Jeff & Mo's condo again. They were unbelievably helpful and gave us some great recommendations for dining out and local spots to make sure that we saw. I travel a lot and Kauai and this condo are both first rate.
Owner response:Aloha Sally and Jennifer! It was our pleasure to have the two of you spend your vacation at our Plantation condo in Princeville. Of course we absolutely agree with you about staying in a spacious condo vs. a cramped hotel room. We are happy that you enjoyed your stay and had the opportunity to visit Kauai. The north shore is one of those rare and beautiful places that you simply can not go to just once! So we'll be looking forward to helping you out with your plans to head back to Kauai next summer. Our two week stay at Jeff and Mo's condo was perfect. This was our 5th time to Kauai and first time staying in this particular condo. The condo met all of our needs. It was very comfortable and nicely furnished. The garage was a huge plus for us. The garage has a good supply of beach toy's for everyone to use. We have stayed at the Plantation complex three times now and we enjoy the pool and hot tub. The complex is well kept and quit in the evening. We enjoy taking evening walks around the Princeville area, admiring the beauty! We would not hesitate to rent from Jeff and Mo again in the future. I have recommended the condo to my friends since it is such an amazing value for what you get!!
Owner response:Aloha Kim! It's great that you're "frequent-flyers" to Kauai, and quite familiar with The Plantations and the beauty of the north side of the island. We try to keep our rates down so that it is more affordable for our guests . . . and, yes, so that it is enticing for our "repeat renters" as well. Mahalo again for your business! Mo and Jeff

We (two couples) stayed here for one week and found it to be very enjoyable. The place was clean, well furnished, and comfortable. It was a pleasure working with the owners, who were very helpful and responsive. The location was convenient for visiting the north side of the island, with beautiful mountains nearby. We would stay here again.
Owner response:Aloha JC and company! Mahalo again for being great guests. Also, we appreciate your review. We're thrilled that the four of you enjoyed your time in Kauai while staying at our Plantation condo. It would be awesome to have you as our guests again during your next trip to Kauai. My husband and I returned to this unit for the second year in a row. After marrying in Kauai in 2009, we decided to go back for our 1 year anniversary. This condo was more than perfect. Everything we could possibly need during our trip is already stored in the condo. Having a garage isn't extremely common, but makes everything so much easier! We hardly left the north shore. Some of our trip highlights: hiking to Hanakapi'ai Falls. Tough physically but so rewarding. Snorkeling at Tunnels was fantastic as was the horseback riding at Princeville Ranch. The chicken tacos at Federicos were delicious.
Owner response:Aloha Bri & Gennaro, It was wonderful to have you return to stay at our Plantation condo for a second time. What a great way to spend your 1st anniversary! We're glad that you had a relaxing stay and made time for some fun activities too. I haven't tried the chicken tacos at Federicos yet . . . but am looking forward to it. Mahalo nui!! :-D P.S. If there are any future anniversary plans for Kauai, just let us now. We'd be pleased to have you as our guests for a second . . . third . . . fourth . . . fifth . . or any anniversary!

Aloha Jeff and Mo! We just have to write to say that our second trip to Kauai was just as much fun as the last time we stayed at your condo a few years ago. Last year we decided to take a trip to Cabo San Lucas, thinking we were going to save a little money and enjoy the vacation in Mexico as well as our time in Kauai. To put it bluntly-- we were wrong. Kauai has so much more to offer and the beauty is unsurpassed. We were also so-o-ooo happy to return to your beautiful condo where we feel totally comfortable and safe. Thank you so much for working with us and offering such a great deal to stay at your Plantation again this year. You two really make us feel like family. Mahalo for everything. Jason and Caroline
Owner response:Mahalo to you JP and Carol for your repeat business, and we always will welcome you back to our condo in Kauai. Sorry to hear that your experience in Mexico was a bit of a disappointment, but as they say in Espanol, "Nuestra casa es su casa." (Our house is your house.) We look forward to your future trips to the Princeville area in Kauai as we would gladly have your business again. Aloha, Mo and Jeff

Aloha, As first time VBRO users we were apprehensive about a lot of things, but working with Jeff and Mo was a real pleasure. We had contacted some others, but were left with uncertainty of proceedures, etc. The property is better in person than reflected in VRBO descripton and photos. It is unbelievable how clean and tidy this place is, it reminded us of a brand new model home. Jeff's and Mo's place in Princeville exceeded all of our expectations. Besides the awesome condition, cleanliness, and amenities all the little things were available for us to use also. We realized this while there, but really appreciated it at the next place we went to in Poipu. If you are planning on staying at more than one part of the island while on Kauai, we reccomend you stay at Jeff and Mo's last. We always like moving up in accommodations as a trip progresses and staying at the best places last to retain the best memories of our trip. Traveling with 3 kids can be more of an adventure than a journey at times. Staying at Jeff and Mo's made traveling with the kids a pleasure - lots of interior space, garage with beach equipment, very nice pool, all the little things, and the Aloha spirit. When we went to our second place on the other end of the island our kids were bummed when we walked in after being at Jeff's and Mo's Princeville Plantation. It was nice, but it wasn't awesome like Jeff's and Mo's. Our fondest memories of Kauai had been our stay at the Stouffer's Wahohai in 1992, but now it is our stay at Jeff''s and Mo's- Mahalo Aloha
Owner response:Aloha George, Yvonne, and family: What a fantastic review for us to read. Jeff and I are thrilled to take the new honors of "your vacation with the fondest memories!" On your next trip to Kauai we will gladly have you back as our guests. We are particularly happy to hear how much you appreciated our condo because we truly aim to please our guests. We have worked hard to make this condo a place that we love to stay at ourselves (We figure that if we love this place, others are more likely to as well.), so we definitely value your feedback and comments. Mahalo again for your business and, of course, your very generous response. We look forward to hearing from you in the near future. ;-) Mo

Aloha Mo and Jeff, We had a wonderful time on Kauai and enjoyed your condo very much . The condo was very comfortable and well stocked with everything we needed to make our own meals. There was plenty of room for the five of us. Our seven year old daughter had a great time sleeping on the inflatable mattress. She enjoyed it so much that our ten year old daughter thought she was missing out and wanted a turn. Our ten year old lasted about an hour on it before she wanted to sleep in the bed again. The condo has great ventilation, so we opted to not use the air conditioner and found it to be very comfortable. This is the first time we have rented a Kauai condo that had a garage and we were surprised how handy it turned out to be. It was convenient for loading and unloading beach gear and nice to leave the windows down on the rent-a-car to air out after a day at the beach. I have already recommended your condo to some friends that are planning a trip to Kauai and if things work out perhaps we can rent it again next year for our vacation. Mahalo, Ron
Owner response:Aloha Ron, It's nice to hear that everything worked out well for you, Annette, and the girls. We are glad that your niece was able to join you as well. The garage does come in handy for many reasons as you found out, and it is especially nice to have direct access from the garage to the condo. We wanted to thank you again also for your addition of the pop-up sun screen to our other beach gear. I am sure that some of our up-coming guests will enjoy using it too. We appreciate the recommendations about our condo to your friends and we will give them a good deal for their rent too. You've got our email and phone numbers, so when you're ready to start planning your next trip to Kauai we will look forward to having you back. Mahalo, Mo and Jeff

While in Kauai, we split our time between a condo in Poipu and this condo in Princeville. We loved our stay in Poipu, but I must admit that I loved our stay in Princeville even more! We were so comfortable in this condo. The central air was HEAVENLY (especially since I was nearly 7 months pregnant at the time). And the master bath was the size of a personal jacuzzi! It was so nice to be able to relax in a bath (our other condo only had a shower)! The condo was well equipped with everything we needed. We were able to prepare all of our meals, no problem, wash our laundry so we didn't return home with a suitcase full of dirty clothes, and have our own counter space in the gigantic bathroom! We even rented a couple movies and enjoyed the surround sound in the living room a couple nights! Overall, it was like coming home to us! As a side note, during the last few days of our trip, my husband started experiencing excruciating pain in his mouth, which we found out the day we got home was the result of needing a root canal, but when I emailed Mo to ask about Insta Care clinics in the area, she got right back to me with a list of all the clinics and well respected dentists in the area. Although he ended up not going to the dentist until we returned home, Mo's help was truely appreciated! Thanks, Jeff & Mo for sharing your wonderful condo and for your amazing hospitality! You truely did go "above and beyond" for us.
Owner response:Aloha Natasha and Jordan, It was nice that you were able to spend time in both the south and north part of Kauai during your vacation. And, of course, we agree with you about the best spots and beautiful beaches on the north shore. We are glad that our condo exceeded your expectations and that you appreciated the extra spacious rooms, to include the huge bathroom and master bath tub. I am sure that the A/C was especially a welcomed amenity in our condo given the stage in your pregnancy. With regard to Jordan's tooth pain, we were happy to assist you by providing some local contact information where you could seek medical attention if needed. But more importantly, it was fortunate that this did not disrupt your vacation too much. You are most welcome for the medical information; It was the least we could have done to help out. We hope the remainder of your pregnancy goes well, and maybe next time you head back to Kauai you will be able to bring your new addition to the family. Mahalo again for your business, and we appreciate your kind remarks. Mo and Jeff

We spent five days in Kauai (it was the second visit to this beautiful island) and it was a good decision of my wife (we booked it per internet) to stay at the condo from Maureen and Jeff. The house is perfect, clean, you have all that you need, Princeville is a nice place. This time we brought my father to the island and we visited the Waimea Canyon, Kalalau Lookout and for the first time at our lives we flighted with a helicopter and could see the beautiful Napali Coast. It was great! To Maureen and Jeff, thank you very much and sorry for any inconvinience!
Owner response:Dear Fabio and family, What a wonderful trip you had, coming to Kauai all the way from Germany. You were able to see quite a bit of the island in your short time there, and the helicopter tour is certainly an exceptional way to get the "big picture" of Kauai and all its beauty. Please don't worry about any inconvenience on our part. We were just glad that everything worked out and that you and your wife and father were able to have a fantastic vacation! Mahalo again. The listing was accurate, with helpful photos and a virtual tour, and the property was very clean and well maintained. Mo was professional and helpful and answered all our questions, and the informative book she compiled was excellent. We decided on many of our activities and restaurants based upon her book. Our favorite excursions were the Blue Hawaiian Helicopter tour (which departed from Lihue) and the UFO boat tour up the Napali Coast (which leaves from Hanalei Bay). Tunnels, Ke'e and Hideaway Beach each proavided good snorkeling, with Hideaway Beach being our favorite (beautiful fish--and a seal that spent several hours with us)! The short drive (and short hike) to Queen's Bath is well worth it, as is the short drive to the St. Regis, where we got all of our great shots of the sunset. Our favorite restaurant was Postcards Cafe, which was recommended by Mo & Jeff. We ziplined at Princeville Ranch, which was fun because we had never ziplined before--Dave got a good video of me! We spent one day driving to the south side of Kauai and drove up to the top of Wailua Canyon. You can definitely see why they call it a miniature Grand Canyon. Would highly recommend this property to anyone planning a stay in Kauai, and after driving around the entire island, we were quite satisfied with having chosen the Princeville area (and this condo) for our stay.
Owner response:Aloha Dave and Shelley, By the sound of it, you were pretty busy while on Kauai. It was our pleasure to have you as our guests and we were happy to accommodate you while you were there celebrating your 40th Anniversary ~ Congratulations!! ;-) We were also glad that the information we provided to you, including the guidebook that I put together, was helpful. It's great that you made it to go ziplining and had a chance to see Wailua Canyon and the Na'Pali Coast. Both are quite spectacular and make for a phenomenal trip that you're sure to remember! Mahalo again for your business and please come back again on your next trip to Kauai. Mo and Jeff

We highly recommend this condo!! It was in an excellent location and stocked with everything we needed for our stay. It was nicely decorated and extremely clean too. What really stood out was how accomodating and helpful the owners were. We asked them where we could find a stroller and they not only gave us suggestions on where to purchase one but included directions, price and the web sites for the stores. This was very considerate. If we return to Princeville we definitely will stay there again.
Owner response:Mahalo for your business. It is always great to hear that our guests enjoyed staying at our condo and loved the Princeville area. My husband and I brought our two kids with us on this, our favorite, trip to Hawaii. We spent two weeks on two islands, starting off on Maui for a few days and ending in Kauai. While on Kauai, we stayed in Poipu in the southern part of the island and then the last 7 days, and the best part of our vacation, was spent on the north shore in Princeville at Jeff and Mo's wonderful condo at The Plantations. Their condo exceeded our expectations -- By Far! The moment we walked in their condo, we wished that we had planned to stay our entire time here. Their Plantation unit still looks and feels new. It was spotlessly clean and we felt like this was the dream vacation that we had wanted. Our kids enjoyed the easy access to the pool and spa, while we also liked the convenience of being able to barbecue here a few nights and enjoy dinner at home. The kitchen was well furnished, making it perfect for dining-in. Plus it was handy having the local Foodland Market just a few blocks away. However because we planned to eat out about half the time, we found many of the local restaurants to be great in quality and value. Besides our luxurious accommodations, we really fell in love with the wonderful beach areas on the north shore: We did a lot of swimming and snorkeling at Anini and Ke'e Beaches. Also the kids loved taking a dip at The Queen's Bath, but my husband and I found Hideaways Beach to be our personal favorite. This two week vacation really flew by . . . although thanks to Jeff's and Mo's hospitality, we'll remember the last part of our trip as the best. We would highly recommend to all of our family, friends, and coworkers that they stay in Princeville at this condo. We also suggest to them that they plan ahead to get their condo reserved early since, as their calendar would indicate, the condo gets booked up quickly. What a great value it is for the best rental that we've ever stayed at! Mahalo to the Kleinfelters.
Owner response:We were happy to have your family stay at our condo during the last week of your vacation. As you found out, Princeville is a great place to stay and, of course, we agree with you that The Plantations resort is a beautiful spot for vacationing on the north shore of Kauai. I think that I mentioned to you already, but the fall is actually our favorite time of year to spend time in Kauai, since the weather is slightly cooler and the beaches are virtually empty (not that they ever get crowded). Please let us know if you are interested in returning during the fall some time, as we do still have some openings and that is the time of year that we offer our best "Rock-Bottom" Rates. Please keep in touch and Mahalo for your business! Mo and Jeff

My wife and I visited Kauai in April 2010 with my parents. We've been to Kauai a few times before and this was the nicest condo that we have stayed in so far! The unit is very clean and well appointed. As soon as you pull into the complex you can tell that you rented the right place for a great stress-free vacation. My wife and I are surfers/snorklers and Princeville is a great/affordable home base for daily adventures. The pool/hot tub are very nice, better than most. The garage is perfect for storing your gear out of sight, but not inside your unit. Queen's Bath is just a couple of blocks away and was quiet and calm while we were there. Definitly a must see if you are in Kauai during calm seas on the North Shore. Hanalei Bay is only a 5 minute drive, so surfing, shopping and dining are close by. The Kleinfelters are really nice people to deal with. They will make your whole process a comfortable and pleasant experience. We look forward to our next trip to Kauai and our stay at their condo.
Owner response:Aloha Paul and Marika-- "Cold Weather Haters." Just let us know when you want to return to Kauai to take the chill off your bones. ~ Ha! As you know this is a wonderful place to warm up to. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed our Plantation condo and that this was a stress-free vacation. We aim to please. It's great that you were able to fit in the time for some awesome surfing and snorkeling too! Mahalo for your business and for being very gracious guests. Mo and Jeff

Mo and Jeff's condo was first class all the way! My wife, mother-in-law, daughter, and I had a fantastic vacation in Kauai. We had the convenience of everything we needed such as the washer and dryer, an attached garage, and fully equipped kitchen. The location of this Plantation condo was perfect for us. Being an end unit on the ground floor made for easy access to the condo for our mom since she was just recovering from an ankle surgery. This is not your typical condo rental. We were pleased that the description was accurate, but honestly the pictures don't do the condo justice. It is a true gem: With many large windows throughout the condo and a lot of space, the condo has a nice open feeling. It's also beautifully decorated, clean, & comfortable. We enjoyed being close to the pool and having the workout room on the site . . . where we at least made an attempt to burn off some of the extra calories we consumed from so many wonderful restaurants. The beaches on the north shore were some of the best Hawaiian beaches that we have been to compared to many of the other island beaches. We enjoyed the snorkeling at Ke'e and Anini Beaches, and the quaint town of Hanelei Beach. But my wife's and my personal favorite beach was Hideaways Beach, where we spent a few hours at this secluded spot -- just the two of us for quite awhile. This was the first time we stayed on the north shore and we loved it, so I must tell you for certain that "I'll be back . . ." or rather, "We will be back." So please consider this a fair warning, Mo & Jeff, since we will be calling you again for our next Kauai trip. Mahalo for everything!
Owner response:Hey Carl and crew-- In this case, it's good to hear those words, "I'll be back," since we always welcome back our favorite renters. ;-) You're right about the wonderful beaches on the north shore of Kauai. They are some of the most beautiful of all. If you did not get a chance to make it up to the Na'Pali Coast yet, next time you're vacationing on Kauai you should take a trip to see this most "majestic" shore line. It’s incredible! Mahalo, Mo

I stayed for 2 weeks at Jeff and Mo's place in Princeville, Kauai just this past February (2010). The condo is a well-maintained, comfortable, 2 bedroom, 2 full bath condo. The lanai is steps away from a gated pool and hot tub (with a waterfall!). The amenities in the condo made my trip so much better - little things like a hair dryer, towels, etc were included which meant one less thing for me to haul across the ocean to Kauai. The area is quiet, but not so quiet that you felt like you had to go to bed at 8p. Princeville is an incredibly convenient area. Shopping for the essentials, eating at restaurants and sight-seeing areas are minutes away. You walk outside and see mountains or you can walk just a few minutes from the condo -- as we did every morning -- and view the crashing, blue waves of the North shore. I have over 4000 pictures of my 2-week trip and could go on and on, but I will try to keep this brief. I was mostly excited by the marine life and birds of Kauai. I saw a monk seal sunning himself, I swam with a sea turtle (totally chill old guy just floating beneath me as I snorkeled), I captured a humpback whale breeching 50 feet from catamaran during our Holo Holo Charter Na Pali coast tour and captured the BEST pictures i have ever taken in my life. We kayaked, hiked and biked along the numerous trails that Kauai has to offer. We went to Waimea Canyon and stared in awe across green, rolling hills, cliffs and canyons. We hiked along the Na Pali coast. We saw the lighthouse and so many birds there at the wildlife refuge. We hiked the Pihea trail and took some great pictures of the many trees within the "inside" of the island. I loved the little town of Kapaa. The Olympic Cafe was my favorite place to eat -- happy hour made the drinks just a little better! We also had a great meal at Lemongrass -- totally delicious BBQ ribs! We visited several beaches -- Ke'e was my favorite because that was where I saw the monk seal sunning himself. The sights and activities that Kauai has to offer are numerous and you truly will enjoy yourself no matter what you are doing while you're there. However, staying at Jeff and Mo's condo took it to the next level -- it was like having all of the comforts of home WHILE LIVING IN PARADISE. I cannot thank Jeff and Mo enough for opening their condo to us and making this a truly special, comfortable and RELAXING 2-week vac
Owner response:OMG! What an amazing mini-series!~ LOL! Your descriptions of Kauai are as captivating as your photography is Amy. (Please email more photos, when you get a chance.) We enjoyed reading about your Kauai adventures. It definitely sounds like you found your "piece of paradise" on Kauai. Please DO call or have your parents call us again, as you'll be welcomed back with open arms. Kauai awaits you . . . Mahalo, Mo and Jeff

My husband and I always planned to go to Hawaii, but when we decided to finally go we had no clue what island to visit. By sheer luck, we found this condo in Kauai, and so glad we did. It was so worth it. We found the condo to be very clean, comfortable, and so well equipped for our one month stay. The owners were helpful from the time we signed our contract right up until the very last day in Kauai. They kept in touch with us--making sure all was going well. At the end of our vacation, our flight was unexpectedly changed from a morning flight to a late evening flight, so they worked very hard and diligently to make sure our last day there would be convenient for us by extending our checkout time. They went out of their way and we appreciated it so much! Jeff & Mo put together a very useful book which included information on the best places to go see and what to do in Princeville, as well as all of Kauai. They included some of their favorite shops, restaurants, and beaches. Princeville is a very convenient place for shopping, eating, or just taking in some awesome sites while walking. The quaint town of Hanalei was a great place to shop and eat some shave ice. The Waimea Canyon is a must see -- traveling there is a bit of a ride, but so worth it. Another great spot is the Spouting Horn. The town of Kapaa was nice for shopping and great for lunch. But our best and most memorable part of the trip was the Na Pali coast sail. Our daughter captured some great shots of a breeching humpback whale, which she’ll remember for a lifetime. After biking, hiking, kayaking, snorkeling, or just relaxing on the beach, we could come home and sit on the Lanai which was a great place to discuss the adventures of our day, or jump in the cool refreshing pool which was steps away from the condo. The grounds of the plantation were always neatly manicured and lovely to admire. Jeff and Mo's condo has, by far, exceeded our expectations in a rental property. Thanks to Mo & Jeff, and their lovely home, this vacation will be one we will remember for a very long time. We would recommend this property highly to all our friends and family, or to anyone thinking of visiting Kauai in the near or distant future. Aloha and Mahalo Jeff & Mo, again, thank you for your great hospitality. Hopefully we’ll return to Kauai, and if we do, we'll be in touch Dave & Peg, Southern, N.J.
Owner response:Aloha Dave and Peg, In our opinion, you were ideal renters. Being first time visitors to Kauai, you were in awe of the amazing beauty of the island. It is so nice that you were able to stay for an entire month . . . but I have to admit, I am a little jealous! ~ :-) You were able to take advantage of your time and see and do so much to experience the Hawaiian culture, and not only see but feel the "Aloha" spirit of Kauai. This goes without saying, but you know that you are welcome back to stay at our condo anytime. Please keep in touch. Mahalo for everything! Mo and Jeff

From the very start when we began our search for a place to stay on the north shore of Kauai, we felt very comfortable with Jeff and Maureen. Since we had only been to Oahu and Maui prior to this trip, Jeff provided us with all kinds of helpful information and many websites that were great for us to learn about the Island of Kauai. In addition, Jeff emailed us lots of photos not only of their gorgeous condo, but also of the Plantation grounds and the nearby beaches. We had a wonderful vacation in Kauai and did a lot of fun activities that we had not done before. The Zip-Lining trip was definitely a high-lite among these outings. We also enjoyed some local horse back riding, and saw some of the most beautiful sea life ever while snorkeling at Anini and Ke’e Beaches. We highly recommend renting from Jeff and Mo. Their new condo was comfortable, well-appointed, beautifully decorated, and perfect for our party of 4. Our 2 children loved the local beaches and when they weren’t swimming in the ocean they loved having the convenience of the Plantation pool and spa so close to the condo. Thanks to Jeff and Mo this was the best trip to Hawaii that we’ve ever had! The only regret is that we did not plan to stay longer. Our vacation of one week went way too fast, and even though we tried to take in all in, we ran out of time. So for our next time in Kauai, we will check to see when you have at least 10 days available for us to return to paradise. The fan club from Arizona
Owner response:Dear "fan club," It's wondeful to hear that your first trip to Kauai was so much fun for you and the kids. Just email or call us when you're getting ready to plan for your next, longer stay in Princeville. We are always happy to have our special guests return again. Mahalo! : )

We had a wonderful time in Mo and Jeff's condo. The Princeville area is very nice and beautiful. We were there for Christmas and stayed 9 nights. The weather was beautiful everyday except two rain days. The temps were in the 80's. We enjoyed going to Anini beach because the surf was very calm. The condo had everything you could possibly need. Mo was so helpful and you never feel like you are bothering her with questions. She is happy to answer anything. She also organized getting my daughters clothes shipped back to us that we had left in the condo. She went out of her way to be helpful to us. Thanks Mo for all your help and the wonderful stay in Kauai!!
Owner response:Mahalo to you. We were happy to have you as our guests for the '09 holidays. I know that it may seem strange at first hearing Christmas music playing in Kauai when it's 80 degrees outside . . . . but I guess that it doesn't take too much to get used to it! We were glad that you had a great time, and were happy to help in returning your daughter's clothes. Please keep in touch, and remember that you're welcome back anytime. ;-) Mo and Jeff

The condo is amazing! Warm and welcoming, so comfy! This was the perfect place for my daughter and I to celebrate her 24th birthday, and for me to relax, sit in the hot tub and explore North shore Kauai. The propery is beautiful, Jeff and Maureen were awesome. We spent a lot of time in Hanalei and had coffee on the lanai every morning. I can't wait to come back!!
Owner response:Mahalo Kelly. Jeff and I are happy that you and your daughter enjoyed a wonderful birthday experience. Whatever the occasion is that you're celebrating . . . just email or call and our condo can be your "home-away-from-home" again!

Our vacation at the Plantation condo was great. Everything we needed was right there at are finger tips, from the perfect directions and instructions to the beautiful pool and spa that we used every night after a busy day of boggie boarding, kayaking, tennis and touring the Island. We will definitely be booking again, but for a longer stay!! Aloha, 'Barry & Eileen
Owner response:Aloha to our fellow San Diegans-- You sure sqeezed in a lot of activities during the short time that you were in Kauai. We know that you had a terrific vacation, but the time just flies by when you're having that much fun, right? Next time you book our condo we will be sure to give you a fantastic rate for your "extended-stay," hopefully for 10 to 14 days! ;-)

Our stay at the Princeville Plantation for my niece's wedding on Labor Day weekend 2009 was pleasant and remarkable. Jeff and Mo have decorated their spacious sparkling clean condo with beautiful furnishings and the spotless kitchen has every amenity. The pool and jacuzzi were just steps away and sitting on the lanai every morning included a visit from the Brazilian red-headed cardinal. We walked over to the Westin and followed a path down to Anini Beach and you can walk along the beach quite a ways. Or there are walking trails if you prefer. A short drive and we were in Hanalei where there are many fantastic restaurant choices- a book binder in the condo helps you with that! Mo and Jeff answered any questions I had before we even arrived. Mahalo Mo and Jeff for being great hosts! I will recommend your home to all my friends and family fortunate enough to travel to Kauai! Aloha and Mahalo! Linda and family
Owner response:Aloha and Mahalo Linda and family. We enjoyed the photos that you emailed to us. I am sure your niece's wedding was beautiful. We appreciate all the nice comments that you submitted, but mainly we were glad to hear that you had such a memorable trip. Mahalo also for the recommendations to your friends and family. Mo and Jeff

After much internet searching we decided on this property. I had been to Kaui before and know you cannot go wrong with the Princeville area. It is close to the charming town of Hanelei and all the spectacular beaches of the north shore. This wonderful home WAY exceeded our expectations. It is big, clean and comfortable. The price is very reasonable considering the high quality of the accommodations. Jeff and Mo were so responsive to my emails and any questions, they made it all really easy. We loved having a pool and hot tub to jump into even after a day at the beach. The kitchen is big and has all you need to cook up some wonderful local fish from the fish market in town. Also there is a foodland within walking distance where you can get all you need to stock up. It was nice being able to cook and prepare our lunches in the roller cooler (stored in the garage) and head on out for the day. Everyone seems to have their favorite beach on the North Shore, and this home is a great place to find yours!
Owner response:Aloha ! We appreciate your kind comments, but more importantly we are glad to hear that your vacation time in Kauai was a lot of fun and that our condo exceeded your expectations! Just let us know whenever you, your family, and/or friends want to return and we will gladly make your reservations for you to stay at our Kauai condo again. Mahalo, Jeff and Mo

Having visited 49 states with Hawaii as the last one on the list, I consulted friends that had lived in Hawaii for many years and asked, which island we should visit. They said Princeville, Kauai and I found Mo and Jeff's place. They were very professional, attentive and available the entire process. I live in Dominical, Costa Rica much of the year and many people have compared the two areas which we did throughout our visit coming to realize why people would be attracted to both areas. We enjoyed all the actiivities and beauty the area has to offer with our five-day visit going by too fast. The condo was as describied and very well stocked with everything you would need for an enjoyable visit. Attention to detail by the owners was very evident and I would recommend this property to friends.
Owner response:Aloha Dave & Deb, We still can't believe that you saved the best state for last! You're so fortunate to have had a chance to visit ALL 50. It would appear you agree that your friends gave you some good advise when they suggested that you visit Kauai and stay in Princeville. And we are happy that you looked us up on VRBO and HomeAway.com We hope to keep in touch with you for future vacation planning. Mahalo, Mo

We came on vacation to Princeville to attend our neice's wedding on the beach, and what a nice trip it was! We give it an A++. A few other family friends rented at the Plantations. This is a beautiful place to stay. Jeff and Mo's condo was even more than we expected. Their new 2 bedroom condo is comfortable and clean and it had everything we needed to feel right at home. We really liked the location of this unit and the large open lanai made a great place to meet with our other friends and family while relaxing and enjoying the gorgeous landscape, pool view, and peaceful sounds of the waterfall. We have already recommended this condo to many other friends and neighbors, and we'll be sure to make our reservations early again for our next trip to Princeville when we hope to stay even longer. Thank you both so very much! Kasey
Owner response:Aloha Kasey, We're glad that you were able to make it to your neice's wedding and spend some time in Kauai with your family and friends. Thank you for your compliments and also for the referrals. We really appreciate it! Please let us know when you've decided on your next dates to return to Kauai and we will gladly put you on our calendar. :~) Mahalo, Jeff and Mo
