The place worked out perfectly! Being dog friend is also a plus. Thanks! We had a great time! The house had everything we were looking for and more. We were so happy to be able to bring our dog too. Thanks! We had so much fun celebrating my 30th birthday here. We will recommend the place to others. Thans so much.

We celebrated a birthday here with 7 adults and 2 small children. We had a blast and made use of all the amenities -- from the fully equipped kitchen to the jacuzzi to the large game room. The place was cozy enough to feel welcoming but spacious enough that we all had some privacy. The house is close enough to Flag that we were able to get up to Snowbowl and play around in town without much of a drive, but far enough away to feel like a retreat. We also loved that it was pet-friendly and the owners were super-helpful. We will definitely recommend the house to our friends and we hope to come back sometime.

Enjoyed our family vacation to Northern Arizona and this was the perfect home away from home. Close to the city and nearby attractions with the feel of a private retreat. Just what we needed.

"The Big Chill: Flagstaff Style" Had an amazing weekend at the Chalet. Hopefully it won't be our last. We celebrated two birthdays while we were here! The Chalet was perfect accommodations for 3 couples to enjoy the intimacy of meals together, laughs by the fireplace, and an extremely competitive foozball tournament. Also the privacy of 3 comfortable bedrooms made us all feel at home from the moment we walked in the door.

Thank you for letting us enjoy your home for the weekend. It was the first time any of us had rented a home up north and what a great experience for us all. We really enjoyed being able to eat, drink and be merry together under one roof yet have the privacy and comfort of the separate bedrooms. We took a nice trip into Sedona and toured and tasted at three of the local wineries, and then returned to the Chalet to enjoy some of our favorites of the day in front of the fire, and out in the hottub. We also had a quite competitive Foosball tournament running that I'm sure will now result in the purchase of a table down here to continue the fun.

Two amazing days at the Grand Canyon, a long yet beautiful drive to the Four Corners, Navajo National Monument, and the Painted Desert, a day in downtown Flagstaff, and 3 absolutely gorgeous days in Sedona. Arizona is such a beautiful state, and we were lucky to experience it together. As for the house/chalet, it was just perfect for our trip. We all settled in nicely. The kids just loved the game room! We enjoyed the jacuzzi, gas grill, fireplace, comfy beds, computer, and the games and books.

My husband, 16 year old twin boys, and I spent 5 nights in mid-March in the charming Chalet. The house was in a great location for our trips to the Grand Canyon, Four Corners, and Sedona. The game room was a hit with our kids. We really enjoyed the jacuzzi, fire place, "gas" grill, and comfy beds. This is our 8th trip using VRBO, and once again, we were very pleased with our "home" in Arizona. Thanks!

We woke up to several inches of fresh snow and kids really enjoyed watching the road get plowed. And I think today was the best day for sledding. The kids had fun sledding at the Chalet and then they sledded for a few more hours at our next stop. It was sunny by the time we left the area at 2 pm. Thank you so much for letting us stay at your home, your house is very nice, roomy, and comfortable. I'm amazed at how quiet it is with the proximity and convenience of the freeway. I would love to be able to return to your house someday again with my parents or friends. I don't think anybody wanted to go home!

We had a great time in this beautiful chalet. Fun was had by all. Great family games in the play/gameroom and relaxing with a cold drink in the front room. We found great sledding. All was AMAZING!

We had an amazing weekend here. Went up to Flagstaff with 2 other families (kids 4-13) to go sledding. We were able to sled just behind the chalet and never get in the cars. Very warm and cozy, clean and roomy. All the necessities thought of. Absolutely a great getaway!

We stayed for 2 weeks in August 2010. The owner's description and renter's reviews are accurate but leave out two important facts that will be important to some vacation renters. First, Interstate 17 can be seen and heard from the house and the traffic noise is noticeable. Second, there is a renter living above the garage who occasionally makes his presence known.

My family, including 2 teenagers, and a couple of close friends spent a long weekend in March at this wonderful place. This was our 6th VRBO rental around the country, all wonderful in their own right, but this one was different. It was more like visiting the home of long lost college friends from years ago, very homey, very comfortable, and very fun. The Chalet, very convenient just outside of Flagstaff, was roomy, with a good kitchen, nice bedrooms, expansive family room and was obviously a well loved family home. The owners, retired NAU professors who raised their family there, were very accommodating and gracious. We had fun looking and reading through some of their library, which contained a large and eclectic assortment of books, ranging from the Idiots Guide to Wine to Einstein's Relativity and the Quantum Revolution (both Part 1 and Part 2 of course). We felt so at home, we watered some of the plants in the greenhouse which was built onto their second floor and even pruned a couple. What a great place to stay! Northern Arizona and Flagstaff is a great place to visit. We spent lots of time visiting the Grand Canyon, Sunset Crater, and Wupatki, national park units in the area. Flagstaff has other areas of interest as well, including the incredible Museum of Northern Arizona and the Elden pueblo ruins. Exploring the historic downtown district of Flagstaff was wonderful as well, including eating (and extensive tasting) at the Beaver Street Brewery, and exploring the seemingly never-ending funky clothing, art, and other stores of this well preserved area. We wish we had more time to explore the interesting restaurants, cafes, and diners. So we plan to return, hopefully to our family home, and to Flagstaff to continue our explorations. We certainly encourage others to do so as well.

I just wanted to say thank you for sharing your home with us. We had a wonderful time! The weather was perfect and we didn't have any problems getting there and back. We spent countless hours over the weekend running through the snow, playing pool, and sipping tea by the fire.
