Just when your kids thought they were safe from school...
Creatively designed, and decorated to resemble an old classic school house, but modern, comfortable, and cozy with a touch of class. Wood flooring, ceramic tile, custom woodwork, Pottery Barn style decor, a mix of antique, and custom furniture, are just some of the homes finer touches. Enjoy 360 degree panoramic views of Upper Herring Lake, and surrounding countryside, from the 3rd floor bell tower.
The Home was also designed with the family in mind, with separate spaces for grown-ups, and little ones alike.
Located on all-sports, not all-crowded Upper Herring Lake, with 140' of private water frontage. The Home sits on 2.5 acres, on a quiet, peaceful country road. Surrounded by the perfect blend of rolling hills, woodlands, orchards, and vineyards. This 2100 sq. ft. home is in a word FUN!
You will be just minutes from Lake Michigan beaches, and the resort town of Frankfort. Near many of Northern Michigan's premier vacation spots such as The Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, and Traverse City.
Also, just down the boardwalk through the protected natural area, await enough waterfront amenities to fill a school bus... make that two school buses! There is a row boat, 2 kayaks, 1 towable water trampoline w/tow rope, life jackets in various shapes & sizes, full dock w/moorings for extra boats, fire pit w/chairs, rope hammock, chaise lounge, and as an extra bonus we include the use a pontoon boat free of charge ( a $1,000 value). Oh, and did we mention 10 gallons of free premixed fuel!

My family and I rented this house for the weekend and it was immaculate. Very clean, spacious and simply beautiful. We enjoyed a quiet weekend on the lake and kids were always entertained with the pool table, board games, chalk board and movies provided. We hope to go back in the fall! It was an outstanding experience and we were allowed to bring our pet as well. It was close to Traverse City which has an excellent place for ice cream.

We had a great time! Our kids had fun with the water trampoline. It was a blast. We all loved the pontton boat. We went kayaking, fishing and to the beach in Frankfort. The kids loved the stars and stripes bedroom. The played in the sandbox and on the swings. Thanks for thinking of everything for kids. When the kids are having fun, we can relax!! That's exactly what we did!!! Thank you!!

We had a blast here! Our family went fishing, swimming, to the beach in Frankfort, and to Traverse City. We loved all the school decoations and the bunkbedds and the tower at the top of the house had great views. And we found the best ice cream at the Hilltop Icecream Shop.

Our two families drove 8 hours from Ohio to vacation here and loved it! We took the kids to their first drive-in (and arrived two hours early thinking dusk was at 9PM). We loved the boating, fishing and fires at night. We saw a deer along our boardwalk. We climbed Sleeping Bear Dunes and had a picnic at the beach. We checked out the Cherry Festival and bought a couple of cherry pied. We had a fantastic time and really enjoyed our stay.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, age 55+, families with teenagers.
