This is a completely renovated Ranch house that was originally built in the early 1900's by a Rancher and famous Rodeo rider (Jess Akers). There are still many of the original Corrals and outbuildings. The 30 acres is abundant with Oak, Pecan, and Misquete trees.
One great big Oak Tree sets in the front yard ,which is a beautiful sight when setting outside on the large porch. If inside, the central heating and air conditioning keeps it very comfortable. The wood burning fireplace is downstairs in a room that everyone can enjoy. (NOTE: To see another of my San Antonio properties go to listing #2744).
CALAVERAS LAKE is only a mile away, but there is a large Pond 200 yards from the house. The pond is about 75 yards long, 50 yards wide, and has a gentle slope to a depth of about 8 ft. With the fresh clean well water supplying it, swimming is great, and so is the fishing. The pond was built and stocked with Channel Cats, Bluegill Perch, and Largemouth Bass in July 2002. Tables are set under trees so makes for a great picnic area. Fishing gear on-site, and a bait place only a half-mile away. The very large Pavilion has electricity, water, bar-b-q, and there are two bathrooms. One of them is handicap accessible.
HOUSE LIVING ARRANGeMENTS ARE AS SUCH: Upstairs has 3 bedrooms and two and a half baths. The downstairs utility room (4th bedroom) has a door to shut for privacy, a queen size bed, and its own bathroom with shower. Downstairs living room (5th bedroom) has a door to shut for privacy, a queen sofa/bed, and its own bathroom with shower. (Upstairs has a King-size bed in one room, two Queen size beds in another bedroom, and two Full size in the third room).
NOTE: A Cabin has been built 100 yards from the main house. A spacious one bedroom with two Queen beds. A regular sofa in the Living room. This sofa can be used as a bed (though not a sofa/bed), plus there is room for one cot. It has one full bath, This Cabin is an additional cost if rented along with the main house. It will not be rented separately to anyone else.

This property is nothing short of fabulous. This is a spotless, beautifully maintained home. The owners/managers are so pleasant and helpful. My 2 year old grandson had as great a time as my teens and 90 year old grandmother. Thank you so much - would definitely like to come back for a longer stay.Recommended for: People with disabilities, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
