Historic Home in the Heart of Downtown Beaufort's "Old Point"

Year Purchased: 2003

Why the Owner Chose Beaufort

Beaufort, SC has always been a place my husband and I would visit with our family. Our parents took us here when we were children, and we brought our children to Beaufort when they were young. We don't care for the "touristy" locations that are so crowded in SC, and we love the beauty, history, beaches, etc. in Beaufort.

We chose to purchase this particular home because we love to restore historic homes, and this home we could not pass up! This home was built around the turn of the 20th century, once the old North Street Aquarium years ago. It was so beautiful and in a great location being within walking distance of the water, shops, etc.

We had to replace porches, walls, ceilings ..... this was quite the renovation project, but with a lot of work and time we were able to renovate the home to the beautiful state it is in now. This home is truly one of a kind and a part of Beaufort's history, and we are glad that we can share this with you!

The Unique Benefits at this House

Staying in our home, you will have a vacation experience like none other in Beaufort. Our home is different than any other home in the area and a part of what makes historic Beaufort special.

Our home has three porches where you can relax, enjoy the breeze, read a book, or watch the carriage tours pass by.

Our home is within walking distance of everything downtown. Our family loves to take walks around dusk and watch the sunset over the water. You can have morning coffee at one of the cafe's on the street as you walk to waterfront park. You can shop, eat at the restaurants, tour historic Beaufort... all without having to drive anywhere. This house is one that you will find truly special!

    • My family and friends (12 of us) had the pleasure of staying in this amazing home while in town for our son's graduation from Parris Island. It held us perfectly and was in close proximity to the base. I highly recommend it to grad. families.

    • We had a wonderful stay at 608 North Street in Beaufort, SC. It was extremely convenient to downtown shops, restaurants and a wonderful water front park for children. The set up of the home worked perfectly for two families. The home was comfortable, clean and affordable. We will defintely be back should the need arise!

    • What a wonderful place to stay! This was the first time we have stayed in a vacation rental. The home is lovely, was very comfortable, and was just a very short walk to town and the wonderful shops and restaurants. The owners have done a great job. It is beautifully furnished. In fact, our daughter said to tell the owners that she wants to come back with a UHaul and take the furnishings with her. And, if she could, she would take the house too!! I certainly would recommend this home to all that are interested in coming to the Beaufort area. It is especially well suited for families coming to the area for the graduation ceremonies at Parris Island, which was our reason for coming!
