Finca La Vinya Gran is furnished in a high quality of Spanish decor throughout with so many of the owners world-wide collection of interesting artefacts on display and makes for an interesting inspection tour if you can drag yourself away from relaxing by the pool or the tennis court.
The front door opens into the spacious open plan dining area and lounge. The lounge area has large sliding patio doors that open out onto the rear dining terrace which overlooks the garden and pool area. There is one bedroom on the ground floor, a twin, to the right of the front door and to the left is a full bathroom. From the lounge area a door leads into the spacious fully fitted kitchen with all the modern appliances one would expect. There is a study too and the villa has complimentary Wi-Fi (if you really must check on your work).
The grand, sweeping staircase leads us up to the first floor and the rest of the sleeping accommodation within the main house, which comprises of the master double bedroom suite with seating area, and en-suite full bathroom. There is the added bonus here of a relaxing Jacuzzi and a private upper sun terrace to catch those last rays of sunshine and to enjoy the magnificent panoramic views of the mountains and the sweeping bay of Pollensa. There is a further double bedroom and one twin bedroom sharing one full bathroom. There is air-conditioning in all the bedrooms upstairs.
The remaining bedroom is an adjacent garden casita with separate access comprising of a double bedroom with en-suite sunken bath/shower room. There is the bonus of another living/dining room with open plan kitchenette and sun terrace. There is a also a bright Caribbean style gymnasium with interior Jacuzzi, sauna, rowing machine, wall bars and shower room. The sauna is in use from 17:00 hours and 18:00 hours each day and the Jacuzzi is for use after the sauna so the water is cold. However the times can be changed in advance and the Jacuzzi is in use at all times.
The grounds are truly beautiful with mature colourful gardens, shaded lawns and fantastic sculptured hedges of various animals. There is a hammock to relax in and dozens of geraniums in terracotta pots.
There are plenty of furnished sun-terraces and patios with plenty of comfortable dining furniture and sun-beds. The magnificent swimming pool, however is the focal point with a waterfall feature and Roman and metal steps. For those of you with young kiddies there is a separate children's section at one end of the pool.
A splendid separate barbecue casita is also situated in the grounds and is the ideal place to try your hand at some local delicacies.
