My business partner and I rented this house to operate out of for a few weeks and it was nothing short of exceptional. Our discerning clientele was very pleased with the beautiful scenery and accomodations. As a result business was outstanding and we will be sure to use it again.Did you find this review helpful? Absolutely amazing experience! I rented the house for a ladies retreat (about 16 women) and the house was perfect!! Big enough where everyone got a mattress/bed and were not on top of each other, but also cozy enough to sit around and connect by the fire. Beautiful views of the N. Umpqua river added a tranquil feel to the overall experience. The house was a great place to connect, relax and refresh! We will be using this house in the future for sure and have already been recommending it to others that are looking for a great retreat location! I highly recommend this rental! Enjoy the beautiful Southern Oregon views!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway.

Our group of 16 attended a conference in Roseburg (about a 30 minute drive from property) and had relaxing and enjoyable times reflecting on the conference and building friendships. Large table seated all guests. Three distinct meeting areas for smaller group conversations. Beds provided for all, well stocked kitchen supplies and nice big gas BBQ on the deck for cooking our chicken and trout dinner. Arriving in daylight is best, as the house numbers are small and on a fence at the front of the property with no street light or illumination. Owner was friendly and answered questions promptly. Will recommend to friends and will stay again if we have a conference in Roseburg.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+.

This was my first rental through Homeaway and I couldn't be happier. We were meeting up for a family get-together and needed a spacious house with room for four couples and five toddlers. This house had more than enough space for us. It is elegant and well-furnished, but still sufficiently child-proofed. The kitchen is large and furnished with everything we needed, easily meeting the needs of our big group. The surrounding area is quiet and beautiful; the house has a lovely view of the river, where our kids enjoyed clambering around on rocks and looking for critters. We did a day trip to Crater Lake, which is about 90 minutes away along a scenic drive that follows the river. We would definitely rent this house again!Did you find this review helpful? We used this home as a base for a family reunion for my mothers 90th birthday. The house is large and well equipped. The big kitchen is great for feeding a group. It is 15 miles or so from Roseburg and is best if you don't need to make many trips into town. There is no yard so entertaining children or playing outside games is not an option. The river was good for a swim, the path down is steep so the old and young need to be watched. We enjoyed our stay here, this is one of the best large homes we have rented for our reunions.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We were beyond PLEASED by this home on the beautiful Umpqua River! There is so much space, breathtaking scenery and kitchen to beat all kitchens. The beds are comfortable, the house is very well maintained and sparkling clean upon arrival. The owners checked on us to make sure everything met our expectations and I can't think of anything we needed that was not provided in this house! Best home away from home we have ever chosen! Our entire family, from youngest to oldest enjoyed every moment in beautiful Oregon! Thank you!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

This beautiful home is indeed large and peaceful! Our family and extended family recently traveled to Roseburg to attend our son's wedding. We were so grateful to be able to reserve a place that was big enough for all 17 of us to stay together. During the day we occasionally added six more family members (who had their own accommodations) and there was still more than enough room with 23 of us in the house. By using the large dining room table, and adding a long folding table and chairs (available in the garage) we were able to all eat together in one room--such a blessing! The home is immaculate, the property is well maintained, and Joanne was a pleasure to work with. The setting is indeed peaceful and the views are gorgeous! We made many meals for our big crowd, and it was a pleasure in the large and very well equipped kitchen. With the home's three levels there was plenty of room for everyone to have some space, yet plenty of room (with two large sectionals in the living room) for all of us to gather together. The master suite is amazing and right of off the main living area--complete with its own sitting area and TV, if someone needs a quiet place to go. All of the beds were comfortable, and there was plenty of extra bedding. We also put the three extra twin mattresses to use in the lower level "family room"-- for the groomsmen, it was great! The laundry area was conveniant and handy, and put to good use! And our little ones enjoyed the toys, games, books and puzzles provided. I think the reviews speak for themselves--this spacious house with its beautiful view is everything you could want, and more!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

This house is truly enormous, and the views are spectacular. The kitchen is very well appointed, except for coffee on our trip. The owners were very responsive and available to help. Beds were comfortable, and every single one of us slept like BABIES every night we were there. Once we figured out how to use it, we enjoyed the steam shower in the master... Drinking water was provided...plenty of it. The only downsides were that the place is decorated like it's gotten everyone's leftover furniture over the years...and there is a bit of an odd smell. From the mouth of a child: "This place smells like old people." Not politically correct, but that was her synopsis. I imagine trying to furnish and decorate a place of this size would be a tremendous endeavor, though! I would definitely recommend this place if you're having any kind of retreat or reunion. There are plenty of beds and just a ton of space. The surroundings are just stunning and it's so private and tranquil. Our party was looking for more of a luxurious alternative to a hotel where we could all be together, so it wasn't completely the right venue for that, but we're still not disappointed we rented it! There's so many pros, we'd be plain old negative if we focused on the couple of "eh's". Condition and furnishings can be improved over time. The location, space and views are forever!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, girls getaway.
