Casa Mato Serrao 33 is a wonderful family villa in a great location, close to the sought after resort of Carvoeiro. It's a typical Portuguese villa - picturesque with pretty gardens, cool and bright inside, and immaculately looked after by its owners
The villa has been very nicely decorated, mixing cooling whites with bright and summery colours to create a very relaxed atmosphere in spacious surroundings. On the ground floor there's a large open-plan lounge, dining room which is a really cool and light space due to full length window and patio doors which lead to the pool. There's a comfy sofa and armchair, a TV and DVD player showing a selection of English channels, and, in the dining area, a wood and glass table and chairs for six people. Also, on the ground floor is the fully fitted kitchen with a breakfast table and a separate laundry area, and a twin bedroom with an en-suite shower bathroom.
There are two double bedrooms upstairs on the first floor. The first double has an en-suite bathroom with double sinks, a Jacuzzi-bath and a very modern hydrotherapy-massage shower cabin within the bath. The second double has an en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower. Both of these bedrooms have patio doors leading on to a large terrace which has views of the surrounding countryside and the sea.
Outside, there's a covered terrace with high quality wooden dining furniture, and a wonderful undercover outdoor kitchen with a brick-built barbecue oven. The freeform swimming pool can be heated for a supplement, and is a non-chlorine, saltwater pool with full length Roman steps leading into the shallow end where there's also a waterfall feature. The pool is enclosed by terracing and to the side there's grass with palm trees and pretty, colourful flowers.
