Clean and Close to Town
Clean and Close to Town

Good aspects is close to town, great cleaning service, first class king bed, new washer and dryer, price, and friendly owners; the bad was tacky curtains and decor, wobbling ceiling fans, inoperable icemaker, broken switch on jacuzzi, and other small issues; the ugly was an abandoned hot tub and rusted hot water heater strewn or dumped in the yard, and severely stained carpet with runs in it (the carpet is in dire need of replacement). Overall we could not beat the price, closeness to town, the pool table and the fun of staying in a 'cabin' in the woods. In sum, it is a cute cabin overall - just needs a little maintenance and care.Recommended for: Families with young children.

This cabin appears pristine in the photographs, but the exterior was overgrown with kudzu. The windows in the front were nearly covered as well. The hot tub had been attacked by bears, and the outdoor furniture was skattered. My fiancee and I noticed that the house was listed for sale, so I guess it was neglected due to that reason. The location was great, and I love Gatlinburg. These pictures really need to be updated because the property is nearly unrecognizable. . .The interior was fine, but I probably would not stay here again.Recommended for: Romantic getaway.
