The farmhouse
Location: Craftsbury Common, Vermont, USA (35 miles from St. Johnsbury VT, 28 miles from Stowe VT)
Accommodations: House, 3 Bedrooms, 1 Bath (Sleeps 6)
Comfortable 8-room, 3 bedroom Craftsbury Cape farmhouse, 1 mile from the cross-country ski and mountain-bike trails of the Craftsbury Outdoor Center. Open living room-kitchen on the eastern, morning-sun side of the house. Morning coffee on the porch is a favorite activity, even on a sunny day in winter. The view from the porch is always a delight.
Office, ski-equipment room, and bathroom also on the first floor. Three bedrooms and a storage room on the second floor. Two bedrooms have full size antique spool beds. One bedroom has a queen size bed.
Summer rentals include water access on quiet Little Hosmer Lake for rowing, kayaking, swimming, etc. There are options for storage for your rowing shells or kayaks, rental of our shells, and private rowing lessons.
The house’s electricity is partially powered by a grid-tied solar photovoltaic system with solar panels on the roof of the barn.
Weeks start Friday at 4 p.m. and end Friday at 11 a.m.
