My wife and I live in Noe. Recently our house was being repainted and the fumes lasted longer than expected. At the last minute we called Noe Place Like Home. The owner / operator was extremely quick, flexible, professional, and friendly. The place has everything you need. It is nicely outfitted, has a small yard, and is very close to 24th Street. Ten minutes after making a last minute call for help, we were given a tour and the place was being cleaned. Very impressive. Thank you NPLH!

We use Noe Place Like Home every time we have family visit from out of town. It's perfect! Lara makes the booking process easy and always has the place nice and cozy for when our guests arrive. It's great that it's so close to all the awesome shops on 24th st and only a few blocks from our home. We will definitely continue to use Noe Place Like Home in the future!

We loved our stay in this apartment. It was absolutely perfect for our stay with our baby. Really appreciated the high chair, portacot, baby food cups, plates, and the toys! Wonderful! And Noe Valley is the best neighbourhood to be based in - we loved it! And so close to the wonderful Wholefoods supermarket. Perfect.

This lovely apartment was immaculately clean and beautifully stocked, with freshly cut flowers at our bedside awaiting our arrival. My husband and I had traveled to San Francisco to visit our son and daughter-in-law and new born grandson, who live just three blocks away. The apartment is perfectly located for a Noe Valley stay, close to 24th Street and all the shops and restaurants of the neighborhood. We felt completely welcomed and completely at home. Lara and Alex provide a wealth of information regarding local restaurants and transportation systems and things to do in SF and surrounding areas. The apartment is lovely - decorated beautifully - and equipped with everything we could have needed. It was a delight to stay there and we will return as often as we can. I would recommend this place without hesitation to friends and family..

My mom, 3 sons and I stayed here while visiting my sister and had a great time! Lara was kind enough to try a stay with 4 people plus a baby. It worked great! Everyone had a place to sleep and there was plenty of space for my boys, 3 and 5, to play while the baby, 6 months at the time, watched his brothers. I don't think it would have worked if the 5th person was older than a baby, there's just not the space and privacy for it. Also, if you have children that are really light sleepers it may not be the perfect place for you since there is no bedroom door. My boys can sleep through anything and we really tired them out during the day touring the city so it was not a problem. I absolutely loved staying here, we would wake up, have coffee outside, get dressed and walk up to 24th street where there are plenty of places to shop and eat. We also had no problem getting around the city, BART is a short walk and can take you just about anywhere in the city. I love this city and I really had a great experience staying at Noe Place Like Home. It really felt like home away from home.

We were delighted with our stay. From initial contact through refund, Lara was friendly, efficient, thorough and thoughtful. The apartment is wonderful, supplied with everything travelers could need to make them feel at home and everything is in perfect condition. There was even a teapot, much to this tea lovers' delight, and the private patio was the perfect place to sip our morning brew. Within a few short blocks, Noe's main street offers bistros, cafes, boutiques and groceries. An added bonus is that public transportation is also within easy walking distance. We highly recommend Noe Place Like Home. It is the perfect home away from home in the city by the bay.

My boyfriend and were in town from Cleveland participating in the San Francisco Renegade Craft Fair. We certainly chose the right place to stay!!! Noe Place like Home was so comfortable, clean and peaceful - you would never even know you were in the city. Equipped with a BOSH washer and dryer and full kitchen not to mention a great small deck/yard - it felt like we could move in and never leave. The location (right near 24th street) was very convenient as well. Our hosts were beyond friendly and SO accommodating. They held merchandise we shipped ahead of time for the craft fair until we arrived - we literally did not need to worry about anything. It was the smoothest any art event has ever gone for me - thanks to our hosts at Noe Place Like Home. It felt like more of a home than my own home and that's saying something! If I ever get the chance to live in SF, I would want an apartment just like Noe Place Like Home. Simply Lovely.

Hidden Gem in SF!

My parents were coming to town for my graduation and I didn't want to put them up in a downtown hotel where the prices are high and the neighborhood is unsafe. Noe Place Like Home was perfect! The apartment is super clean and beautiful. It has all the amenities of your own house, including wifi, cable TV, kitchen supplies, etc. In addition, the apartment is located in one of the most desired neighborhoods in SF. Noe Valley is right off the metro stop (J Church line) and walking distance to the Mission District (San Francisco hippest neighborhood). Noe Valley itself is a really cute and quiet neighborhood with tons of great restaurants. If you're traveling by car there is ample street parking (unique feature in SF) and you don't have to worry about the safety of your vehicle because the neighborhood is super safe! Lara and Alex were incredibly nice and gracious hosts. I am glad we were able to support their business instead of handing our money over to one of those hotel moguls downtown. For the location and the place, this place is really well priced. As a San Franciscan, I couldn't recommend this place enough. There are travelers and there are tourists -- stay here if you are a traveler, stay downtown if you just want the run-of-the-mill tour of SF.

What a wonderful visit my family and I had in San Francisco! The apartment is beautiful, clean, wonderfully equipped and in a phenomenal location. Alex, Lara and their two children are excellent hosts. They really thought of everything to make visitors feel at home. My husband had to pry me away or I would have moved in. :) Everything you could ask for is within walking distance of the apartment- great shops, excellent restaurants/bakeries and sights worth seeing. If you have small children take time to visit the Bernal Street Slide...it is a huge slide "hidden" away in a park like area within a lovely neighborhood. There are picnic benches at the top of the slide. Bring a coffee and watch your child have fun! We had delicious meals at La Boulange (a french bistro), Hamano (sushi), Tartine (bakery), Barney's (hamburgers) and BiRite creamery (ice cream). I highly recommend Noe Place Like Home...I cannot wait to go back!

Gem of a Place to Stay in SF

This place is even better than the pictures suggest! Impeccably maintained, with wonderful quality furnishings and appliances, and centrally located, Noeplace is our first choice whenever we visit our children and grandchild in SF. We have stayed at many of the fanciest hotels in SF, and the comfort and pleasantness of Noeplace, and the great location near 24th Street, compare favorable to much higher priced accommodations. We have been coming to Noeplace for over two years, and we are delighted that our daughter introduced us to this gem of a place. The apartment is our home away from home, offering convenience, quiet, charm, and reliably wonderful accommodations. My only concern in writing this is that more people will discover this place, and it will be booked when next we visit SF! Terrific place for a couple to stay when visiting SF and surroundings. Good list of local places to eat, shop, hike, and tour is kept in the apartment for benefit of visitors. Enjoy!

we have almost spent a week here at the apartment in noe street. It was really great. The apartment is conformatable, providing everything you need for kitchen, laundry, and a real place to just rest and enjoy the place. The location is really closed to transportation and to an incredible 24th street !! even the weather was perfect !! thanks a lot

Great Place to Stay - Esp. If You Have Kids

My husband and I lived in San Francisco for many years and after moving away, we needed a place to stay for a recent visit combining work and pleasure. Now that we have a child (21 month old toddler), we needed a place with a great location that was clean, kid-friendly, and stylish. Noe Place Like Home met all of our needs and then some. As an interior designer, I was pleased with the property. Additionally, it is super ideal for a child or toddler because while it has all of the necessary adult ammenities, it is very kid friendly (not a lot of small items to knock over, completely enclosed TV/media equipment, etc.). It also came with a pack and play, high chair, and kids utensils/bowls. The location is amazing (walking distance to restaurants, Whole Foods, and lots of stores on 24th St) and while parking is not included, I was able to find street parking for our rental mini-van within 0-1.5 blocks every single day. (Noe Valley is also very kid/baby friendly - so you definitely feel like you fit right in if you're pushing a stroller around.) The owners are very nice and on top of details and they provide a great book of instructions for every question you might have about the property. I highly recommend this place whether you have kids or not (it's great even if you don't) and know that we would definitely stay here again in a heartbeat.

My wife and I stayed here in May. It was a bright, cozy, comfortable apartment. We have stayed in other VRBO' s in Bay area and this is definitely at or near the top of our list. Easy access from street, which is a plus in this hilly city. Modern, well appointed, modern and spotless apartment, which Lara and Alex's 's photos show off well. Small beautiful and quiet garden outside your door with eastern orientation for sunny breakfast or lunch on patio. 24th Street with great shops and wonderful farmers' market on Saturday is nearby. Alex and Lara were very hospitable. Top recommendation from us.

My wife, four year old son and I stayed here for five nights and had a wonderful stay. Alex, Lara and their family made us feel very welcome and our son made new friends with their son and daughter. Both the apartment and its location were perfect for us. Noe Valley has all you need within walking distance and is very handily placed for public transport and getting out to the 101 if you have a car. The apartment had everything for all the family - Wifi for me, Nick Jr for my son and a lovely bath for my wife. We cannot recommend it highly enough!!

Noe Place Like Home is a bright, private, comfortable apartment in a San Francisco location that can't be beat. The hosts, Lara and Alex, are attentive yet discreet. The place is clean, the kitchen is thoroughly equipped and the bathroom is up-to-date. The neighborhood is a fantasyland of coffee shops, bookstores and organic everything. The apartment is within two blocks of two bus lines and not much farther from a trolley, providing easy access to all points of interest. A great experience.

This is a great spot to stay in Noe. Owners are super attentive and available, very proud of the property and took great care to ensure we were pleased with the accomodations. Everything was in perfect shape, new, and sparkling. Even the details were appreciated - great new appliances, comfy furniture, maps, guide books, some videos, cotton sheets. We felt very much like we were "at home". The location is excellent, very close to 24th Street and easy walk to many fun neighborhoods. I highly recommend, and would certainly return if I had the opportunity.

Noeplacelikehome was wonderful. The place is light and spacous. Everything works! The furnishings are tasteful and attractive. It is equiped with everything you could possible want. And the walls surrounging the courtyard are covered with flowers. It is within walking distance of 24th st. which, if they don't have it, you probably don't need it. And the owners are more than wonderful. I'll be back!!!!

We live near Noe Place Like Home, and it was the perfect apartment for visiting relatives. Highly recommend this modern apartment in charming Noe Valley. It more than lived up to the photos and the owners' write up. Lara and Alex (who both were very warm and welcoming) clearly cared about our comfort. No detail was too small. We found excellent restaurants, shops (including a world-class cheese shop), and a full grocery store just around the corner. The Muni direct to downtown was a short, enjoyable walk away (from front door to Powell Street in less than 30 minutes). This rental was a great value and matches anything we've had in NYC and Paris. If you're looking to locate just far enough away from tourist central and experience an engaging San Francisco neighbourhood, you can't go wrong with Noe/24th.

I frequently visit the Bay Area for business; NPLH is a great "home base" from which to operate. It's quiet, well-located (perhaps 20 minutes to Moscone) and a whole lot more comfortable than some cookie-cutter Marriott. When I have to be away from home, it's so much nicer to have a little (temporary) home of my own. Lara and Alex are also savvy business travelers, so they understand the needs of the professional crew as well as the leisure side of things. And when I can bring the family along, NPLH works great for that as well.

Great place to stay in Noe Valley

I would highly recommend staying here. The apartment is very clean and well-kept with a wonderful garden for sitting. It is located within walking distance of 24th Street which has many fine and interesting shops and great restaurants. Our favorite restaurant is Firefly and you can find all kinds of good food and wine at the 24th Street Cheese Shop. I selected the apartment from their web site which provides an accurate desciption of the apartment along with appropriate pictures. The kitchen is completely equipped for cooking and there is a washer & dryer which is helpful for longer stays. The sofabed is very comfortable and 1-4 people would be quite comfortable staying here. The owner is professional and responded timely to my emails and questions. We knew they were available if needed, but they gave us our privacy as well. I was attending a yoga workshop nearby with my business partner, so we rented a car to get around. There is public transit in the area, but we found it easy to get to all parts of the city as well as to/from the airport and to Marin county for sightseeing. I would definitely stay here again!

Clean, well located in Noe, well equipped. Better than other places i've stayed in Noe (No breakfast but that's not important to us and there is a Starbucks less than 2 blocks away).

Me and my friend stayed here for three nights and had a great time. The apartment is nice and has everything anyone could need. Although we weren't there enough time to make much use of the TV, DVD or stereo, we thought it was great that there were CDs and DVDs available. I was especially happy that the sofa bed was so comfortable! Great apartment and great location.

This is a meticulously kept apartment that is newly renovated. While we did not cook, the kitchen is beautiful and nicely stocked with just about anything you need to cook. While the bedroom was not particularly large, the bed was comfortable and the lighting adequate for reading. The living room was spacious as was the closet space. I particularly liked looking out onto the garden which had a variety of interesting plants, including a small lemon tree. Our host, Lara, was warm and friendly but gave us total privacy. It is definitely a great place to stay if you want to be close to the Noe Valley shops and restaurants - and in my case, my sister who lives in the neighborhood.
